2/8 Draft and Captains Meet went down
in the Bay! Meeting went well and we added some new
rules in the mix. A full briefing will be posted shortly,
also a block buster three way player swap went down at the
Draft table. You can check the current
draft
rosters here. In the three Player swap, Paul Schrifo
was traded from
F Express to
CRC for Matt
Galiano as Matt was traded to the
Bay Brewery for
Dimitri Koylatar. Trades can be made up to the drop of the
puck in
Week 1.
2/3 All Final Stats posted and
Dragons Champion photos. 2/2 The Dragons Rule Again! Win
Draft Cup Title Number Five! Although the first goal
in last night's play didn't get scored till 4:30 left in
period two the
Dragons would own game three taking
a 1-0 lead into the final session and then explode in the
final fifteen. Lead by their number one pick Bobby Kasimis
he would get the
Dragons on the board following up
his own rebound roofing a backhand for that 1-0 lead that
took us into period three. Right off the face off and a
Dragons rush Matt Carlton was licking his chops when
he saw a juicy rebound and pounded it home for a 2-0 attack.
An angry motivated Bobby Kasimis after a Game two loss would
have more answers showing us how hard his slap shot really
is as he would blaze back to back blasts to the back on
the net almost tearing the mesh out for a 4-0 lead. Dimitri
Koylatar would hammer in the last coffin nail and Stevie
Balsan just kept shaking his head saying not tonight at
every puck that came in his direction recording the first
shut out in Draft league Playoff Hockey history. Charles
Sbrigato the
Dragons leader couldn't make the game
due to a work related issue was just smiling on his way
home as the news came via text and kept looking at his fingers
which represent a title for each, but then looked at his
other hand and said there is still room for more. What do
we do about Charlie? Do we retire the
Dragons team
now and throw them into the Draft League Hall of Fame or
do we let Charlie try and continue his Dynasty march? Truth
is the team he picked this season was just way too fast,
they beat teams with there speed and hustle as they did
not lose a game in regulation all season long till game
two of the finals. Also having two pure goal scorers and
a solid pipe man had something to do with it as well, I
don't have to mention there names but if you don't know
scroll down the page a little and look under Draft League
Leaders you might find them. The heart and soul though came
on through all season long as well Jae Budda, Kevin Cooper,
Julian Prine, Paulie Lind and Matt Carlton they were tuff.
Hats off fellas, Great season! The
Dragons Rule Again
Draft League Champions!
