3/7 Morris Park and the Aeros are in the Drivers seat, Marine Park, Shooting Blanks, Astoria Knights, Bombers, BK Bullets and Oilers move on. A great full day of Hockey in the Bay! Things kicked off between Morris Park Devils and the Astoria Lighting. Morris Park would score a second period power play goal off Stephen Mele stick and edge the lightning 3-2. Morris Park would move to 2-0 on the day with a win over the Green Machine on another big game from Mele putting up four of his teams six goals totaling five points in both winners. Astoria Knights were facing elimination in their second match that would see over time but R. Alibrandi would only need 29 tics of the extra session to get his team into the next round. The Knights Mike McGreggor also had a big day with five points with four goals and an assist. Trailing 5-1 with less than six minutes to go the Aeros were able to score with 5:34, again at 4:05, again at 2:00 and with their goalie pulled they tied the game with only four seconds left to send this game into OT. A crazy finish! After a scoreless extra session a shoot out was needed. Enter Scott Adelle. After making many big saves in regulation and OT he would be perfect in the shoot out stopping both Marine Park shooters and snatch this game from Marine Park. Marine Park won their earlier game four zip but will be facing elimination in their next match because they couldn't close this one out. Aeros would do it again in their next match with another come from behind win against the BK Bullets. That game would also see an extra session. Trailing 3-1 with under eight minutes to go Jon Musco would rip a shot towards the goal that would deflect off of Billy Buckman's body to get his team within a goal. Just under a minute later Steve Noto would rip a wrist shot into mesh to knot the game a three. Regulation would end and as Phil Townsend of the Aeros would get the game winner in the shoot out in his pervious game he would do it again in this game putting the biscuit in the basket with a 4-3 OT win. With the Aeros win they and Morris Park are the only two undefeated teams on the day. Aeros and Morris Park will go head to head in their first game next week. With the Shooting Blanks facing elimination after a loss to Marine Park they were able to come up big against the Bombers. Up 3-0 the Bombers would make it a one goal game but the Blanks would pull away on an R. Conte breakaway goal and a Sammy Pontillo empty netter moving themselves into next week. With the Bombers facing elimination in their next match they were able to come up big. Mike Profeta would light the lamp twice and Ralphie Bavaro would shut the door securing the shutout for a 3-0 Bombers win. The last game of the night would be an elimination game between the Jaws and the BK Bullets as both teams were 0-1 heading into the match. After a 1-1 first the Bullets would turn it up in the final session. With D. Chringo sinking his second of the night Charles Sbragato would nail home two as it would add up to a 5-1 win and get the Bullets into next weekend. Once again a great day of Hockey in the Bay! Three of the first four games next week will be elimination games. We started with 10 were down to 8, Winter Cup II continues next Saturday in the Bay, week two schedules will be posted shortly.

3/6 All Tournament Rosters have been posted. If you need to add any players to your roster you have to do so before today's games.

3/5 Week 13 has been posted. Draft teams are playing two games next week and the BIG B final two games will put both divisions into the playoffs the following week.

3/5 Shooting Blanks hold first for now, Reapers keep pace, The Unit gain ground and the Kings finish with a bang. The BIG B playoff picture is almost set. With two total games left to play between Marine Park and the Reapers and The Phantoms and The Unit If the Unit and Reapers win they move up in the standings. With a Reapers win they will win the division by one point over the Shooting Blanks. If the Unit take a win they move up to the third seed. If both teams happen to take a loss the standings would stay the same. In last night's play The Unit's G. Konstantin put up three for a trick and S. Leoutsakus added a goal for a 4-1 win. Shooting Blanks shoot into the playoffs on a high note putting up seven. Pat Mulroy would have a four point night with two goals and two assists. His four point night still keeps him in a tie for first for the scoring title with Joe Jensen of the Reapers as he also had a four point night with a trick and an assist. Both players are tied with 27 points but J. Jensen still has a game to play and would just need a point to pass Mulroy. In the Reapers game goalie P. Black continues to be on his game, putting up his third shutout of the season it adds up to being second best in that department all time. His goals against average is 1.78 which will win him top goalie honors for the season. Kings go into the playoffs on a winning note as their seeding is not determined as of yet. Depending on the out come of the Unit Phantoms game they will hold the third or forth seed. In last nights game Dan O'Sullivan and Rich McGrath would both put up a hat-trick each as the Kings took an 8-2 win.

3/3 Winter Cup II Tournament schedule posted.

3/2 Schedules posted for Week 11.

2/26 Snow!

2/26 The full draft story from 2/24! The Bay Brewery's A. Morozov would have a seven point night with six goals and an assist. His seven point night regains himself the scoring lead in draft play with a total of 37 points on the season. The Bay Brewery's defenseman Dominick Rubino would also have a big game with a goal and five assists. With the win the Bay Brewery now only trail the first place Flids by a point in the standings who took a loss to the Mad Men. M. Dellecamelie, D. Chringo and Julian would all tally two times each as the Mad Men improved their record to 4-3-1 on the season as these guys look good. A four goal out burst in this game put them over the top. The Zorros would put eight goals on the night as their number one pick would have six of them. Enter Andrew Manson, putting up goals 15 to 20 on the season which is good for a tie in the leagues third best in goals scored. Ouch another ton of snow fall on us as we'll post a schedule for this week we'll try to get the rink ready for games. In tournament news the Jaws have entered the contest, so we have a total of eleven teams right now. One spot remaining if anyone else wants to jump into Winter Cup II.

2/5 The Streak ends in a Blank of an eye, two Queens goalies battle in the Bay, Gravesend take a split and The Phantoms win! Yes the Phantoms win! The Shooting Blanks stop the Reapers streak at eighteen straight consecutive wins, one game shy of the second place record. The Blanks opened the game up with two quick goals in the first five minutes of play and would add another to take a 3-0 lead into the second. The two teams would spit goals in period two and the Blanks would hold that three goal lead going into the third. The defending champs and winners of eighteen straight wouldn't go down with out a fight. J. Flip would make it a two goal game with ten minutes remaining then M. Goucher would strike on a beautiful feed from J. Jensen to make it 4-3 game at the 2:01 mark of the final session. It was Blanks goalie A. Manno the rest of the way holding down the fort making two big stops and securing the win and ending the streak. Bang your stick for the Reapers who put up the third best streak of all time in the Bay and are still the defending champs. In another great game the Unit and the Kings would mix it up. Goalies G. Petre and D. McAdams would put up stellar performances between the pipes. The game would only see one goal apiece going into the third until the Unit's S. Kasimis would go five hole coming in off the right post and give his team a lead. More big saves from both goalies the rest of the way till W. Gilroy of the Kings would bang one home and even the score. With the game in the extra session Gilroy would strike again with 1:37 left to play and give the Kings the win. Gravesend and L.O.F. would spilt their home and home series as Gravesends Anderw Manson would complete a Hat-trick and Danny Crichigno's goal would hold up to be the game winner in a 4-3 battle. The Phantoms would get their first W of season on big goals off R. Muzzuchin and K. Rothchild sticks as Muzzuchin would also add two assists. Another game that was a back and forth battle and saw a five goal outburst in the final session for the Phantoms as the empty netter ended the wild third in the 7-5 Phantoms win. Great night in the Bay with every game a good one! On a sour note A. Hetzler and J. Clingo of the Reapers get a game each suspension for abuse of officiating. All other pages are being worked on now and will be updated shortly.

2/4 Flids stay hungry, Mad Men got power in their play, Zorros run away in the third and in the BIG B Flatbush lays the law! The Mad Men took a one goal lead into period two and were able to connect twice on two connective power plays in the second. Taking a 4-1 lead into the third they were able to leave with a 5-3 winner and move their record to 3-3-1 on the season. Mad Men would receive scoring from five different players in the win. Is this team deep? Zorros one two punch Manson and Esposito would tally for a hat-trick each adding up to a seven two win helping their team get another two points in the tight Draft race. It's the Flids again, this time they put up twelve and improve their record to six and one on the season and hold a three point lead for first in the division. Mikey Byrnes had a huge six point night scoring four goals and two assists while M. Goucher had a five point night and takes over sole possession of the scoring race. Flids star defenseman K. Rothchild AKA "Slim" also put in his work breaking up plays while adding a goal and an assist on the evening. L.O.F Gale Brothers would hook up for a goal! James Gale would have a four point night with a goal and three assists while his bro D. Gale was good for two tallies. Laws of Flatbush even their record and are now in a three way tie for thrid place in the BIG B. Team stats and League leader pages will be updated soon as standings pages have already been updated.

2/2 Winter Cup II Tournament Coming soon! Information here.

1/29 Reapers hit eighteen, Blanks edge the Unit, Gravesend climb and the Kings roll. R. Conte powers the Blanks with a four goal night powering the team to a 5-4 Shooting win. Another great one goal game between the two teams. The two teams split the season series one game apiece as the last time they played, the game would need an extra session. With the win the Shooting Blanks keep pace with the Reapers only trailing them by one point in the standings. Eighteen and counting for the big bad defending champion Reapers now only one game away from tieing Bergen Beach's record of nineteen. In last night's game Paul Lind had a three point night with two goals and an assist and Reapers goalie P. Black was on his game stopping everything in his direction which was good enough for his second shut-out of the season while leading the league with the lowest Goals Agaisnt Average. Kings W. Gilroy would have have a three goal night with Dan O'Sullivan having a two point game with a goal and an assist on the way to a 5-2 Kings win. Kings move into the forth seed with the victory. Gravesends C. Sbrigato and M. Diliberti both hit mesh three times each for tricks while goalie Vic Leoung would make some huge saves secring his second shut-out victory of the season. The divisonal race tightens up in the BIG B. With Reapers and Blanks leading the way seeds three through seven are only seperated by three points. All pages have been updated and schedules for the rest of the way have been posted.

1/28 Flids stay on top of the Draft, Bay Brewery impress, Dragons win a wild one and in our lone BIG B game Laws of Flatbush hit .500. Two big nights from Bay Brewery's first round pick and the Flids number one man. M. Goucher would have a 7 point night while the Brewery's A. Morozov would have six. The two forwards are now tied with 28 points each for the league lead. The scoring race is tight as so is the division with the Flids and Bay Brewery being only separated by a point and the Dragons trailing by two. In the Bay Brewery win C. Johnson would receive second star honors with a two goal and an assist evening as Flids Capo J. Flip was good for a trick and an assist for a four point game in his victory. Both the Brewery's and Flids goal keeps V. Leoung and S. Balsan played solid games between the pipes in route to improving their Goals Against Average. Dragons and the Mad Men were involved in a back and forth battle that would need a shoot-out to settle who would grab the extra point. With the Dragons taking a one goal lead into the third the Mad Men would tie the game early on in the final session. Dragons would bury the next two as the Mad Men would storm back for three straight goals to take a one goal lead with time running out. But Dragons Dee man N. Mazolla would knot the game again this time at seven with only 1:16 remaining that would eventually force an overtime. In Draft play we go straight to the shoot-out if regulation wasn't enough. The Shoot-out would go 2-1 the Dragons way with Mazolla getting the game winner. Laws of Flatbush would tally with only :04 left in the first on a Ewald goal as J. Gale secured the winner in the third with a Power Play score. L.O.F's goalie Verrico would be stingy between the steel letting up none while taking the 2-0 shut out win. Team stats, League Leader and Standings pages have been updated.

1/22 Week 8 Schedules posted.

1/22 Shooting Blanks edge Marine Park, Unit get a scare and the Reapers stay strong! The Shooting Blanks would take a 2-0 lead into the third period on lone goals in the first and the second periods by J. Cazza and P. Mulroy. Marine Park would get back within on a N. Dimisi goal with 8:27 to go but Blanks goalie A. Manno would hold down the forth the rest of the way in this epic 2-1 battle. Marine Park goalie R. Dimisi was just as good in the loss making many huge saves to keep the game close. With the win the Shooting Blanks keep pace with the first place Reapers who won their sixth straight of the season and seventeenth overall. M. Erichson would open the scoring for the Reapers in the first as Gravesends C. Sbrigato would tie the game early in the second. But then J. Clingo would take control! Scoring in the second taking a 2-1 Reapers lead into the third, then scoring the next two in the final session for a natural hat-trick and a 4-1 Reapers lead and finally the win. B. Roseslli would give the Unit a 1-0 lead 6:05 into the first but Glen Santos would strike back for the Phantoms to even the game at one. S. Kasimis would bang home a goal with 2:23 left into the second for a 2-1 lead that would hold up to be the game winner. Unit's goalie G. Maronitis and Phantoms netminder A. Pedalinao were both stingy in this game in our second 2-1 game on the evening. All Stats and Standings have been updated and the rest of season schedule will be posted shortly.

1/21 There'll be no perfect season in the Bay! Zorros win, Mad Man redeem in the shoot-out, Dragons get explosive in the third and in our lone BIG B match the Kings win! After a 4-0 start to the season J. Hetzler and his Zorros hand the Flids their first loss of the season. The Zorros did it with a 5-4 nail biting victory. J. Monello lead the way with a two goal two assist night but the game winner would belong to Wayne Thompson as he also hooked up a goal for a two point game while shouting there's two referring to the poll below. Bay Brewery would trail 6-3 with only six minutes left to play but were able to tally three times to force the Shoot-out. The Shoot Out would go the Mad Men's way as the Bay Brewery were happy to get the point out of the game in the tight draft race as the whole division is only separated by five points. A. Morozov and B. Barbuto would put up a hat-trick each for the Brew in the loss while the Mad Mens M. Dellecamelie put home two and also got the game winner in the shoot out. P. Mulroy was also good for two goals and S. Noto had a goal and two assists. The Dragons would trail 3-1 going into the third but would erupt six times in the final session and take a 7-5 win. R. Conte put home four for the Dragons with L. Morris hooking up three. J. Jensen of BMW put up all five of his teams goals and gets himself back into the scoring race which he owns since the draft started. The Draft scoring race heats up! A. Morozov takes over the lead with 22 points followed by Mike Goucher with 21 and Joe Jensen with 20. In the BIG B game the Kings M. Diccico and W. Gilroy scored two goals each and took a 5-3 win while splitting the season series with the Laws of Flatbush. All pages have been updated.

1/17 Week 7 schedules posted!

1/15 All pages have been updated, Week 7 schedule will be posted later in the day.

1/15 The Unit foil a Come back, Reapers dominate, Marine Park even their record and Laws of Flatbush drop the gavel. Shooting Blanks made a furious comeback wiping out a three goal deficit in the third, scoring the last two goals at 3:14 and :43 to even the score at four. But just 1:40 into the extra session G. Konstantin of the Unit would finish off his hat-trick and grab the game winner in over time. Great Game! Footage of the game will be posted shortly. Reapers win their fifth straight of the season moving to 5-0 following their championship. So the question was raised and a look in the archives was needed. What is the Reapers current win steak at? The Reapers current win steak is at 16 games. Their last loss was to Bergen Beach back in week three of last season. The record for most consecutive wins by a team is by the East River Rats / Astoria Lightning at 31 straight wins. Coming in Second is Bergen Beach at 19 straight wins. The Reapers current win steak and still going strong is currently at 16 as they surpassed Marine Park for third place with their win in the first game of this season which was twelve. Marine Park reach the .500 mark behind hat-tricks from N. Demasi and R. Abdelhamid. R. Zurawski also put up two goals for the Park while M. DelleCamelie banged home two for Gravesend in the loss. The Gale brothers would hook up for the fist goal of the night for L.O.F while donning their new threads as the team would put up two goals in each period. The Quad Father made is second career appearance in goal and pulled himself after a two goal deficit going into the third to supply some extra offense. But L.O.F was on their game last night and took a 6-2 win while winning their second straight as they also move to .500 on the season. Two nights worth of stats will be worked on later in the day.

1/14 Flids stay perfect through four, Bay Brewery keep pace and the Dragons pull out a winner. It was Draft night in the Bay and it was a good one. With every game being decided by a goal the Bay Brewery and BMW would kick off the night. Bay Brewery built a two goal lead late in the third but BMW would storm back with two goals in the closing minutes of play to force the shoot-out. The Shoot-out would go 1-0 to the Bay Brewery on a A. Morozov goal and Vic Leoung was perfect going three for three getting the Brewery the much needed two points. The second game of the night between the Dragons and Zorros was just as close. In a game that was 6-1 at one point lead by the Dragons, the Zorros would tie the game at 3:41 of the third. But with only nine tics left in regulation Dragons R. Muzuchin would take a blast from the point that R. Conte would redirect home for the game winner. G. Sorino was good for a hat-trick in the Dragons win while J. "the infamous" Hetzler of the Zorros had a career night. Scoring a hat-trick and an assist while only notching two penalty minutes. AJ Benzer also had an assist for the Zorros picking up from where he left off just a week ago. The 4-0 Flids get a W on a fluke goal late in the game off the "Quad Father's stick". The Mad Men had a two goal lead midway though the third but the Flids would fight back with three unanswered goals and a 6-5 win. M. Goucher had a four point night for the Flids with a trick and an assist as he already has twenty points on the season only four games in. The Flids M. Byrnes also had a big five point night with two goals and three assists. Draft Standings have been updated as Team Stats and League Leader pages will be updated later in the day.

1/12 Two new polls added.

1/11 Twenty two new videos added to site.

1/8 Week 6 Schedule Posted and new videos coming over the weekend.

1/8 All Pages have been updated, this weeks schedule coming later in the day.

1/8 Laws of Flatbush earn a win, Reapers and Blanks connect as The Unit take an OT Battle. Laws of the Bush 91 and Rios had two goals each on their way to a 5-2 victory that was good for two points and get a W under their belts. The Reapers would put up eight with strong second and third period efforts while getting scoring from seven different skaters as my assistant in the booth K. Escobar pointed out. Dooley was the one that connected twice for the Reapers. These guys look tuff defending their title, can anyone stop them? Maybe P. Mulroy and his Blanks could they had a big night wiping out an early three goal deficit and putting up eight. Mulroy had five goals and looks more determined then ever this season. Can he win his first scoring title in the Bay? Poll to come. In upsetting news the Astoria Lightning have dropped out of play, moving on we were thinking of going back to the regular system in the playoffs and leaving behind the tier system as many of the teams in the league are strong. So far it's a 3-0 vote to go back to the regular system and we will finalize the decision by next weeks games. As Astoria dropped out a scramble to get a game in for the Unit was on and Marine Park were able to get five heads down and fill the spot. It would be the game of the night. Marine Park would jump out to a two goal lead but the Unit would answer back with three straight goals. With time winding down R. Abdelhamid was able to hit A. Morozov in front of the goal to tie the game at three with :47 left in regulation that lead into OT. With back and forth action in the extra session we looked like we would need a shoot-out to settle this one with Marine Park on the power play and only :10 left. A face-off out side the zone lead to a bouncing puck over the Park defense and Unit captain N. Divittorio would jump on it for a breakaway as he was able to rip one home while the Park goalie got a piece of it, it trickled on though for the game winner with :04 left. It was Divittorio second of the night. Great night of Hockey in the Bay as the weather was perfect for skating. With that said all stats are being worked on now and will be updated shortly.

1/7 BIG Night in Draft league play as all teams were active. The Flids go three for three, Mad Men get their first win and Bay Brewery bounce back. In the lone BIG B game Marine Park would notch their first win of the season. P. Rykala's Mad Men get in the W column! Their big second period proved to be the difference putting up three goals to none in the middle session. Their number one pick third over all, P. Mulroy had a big night with five goals and an assist. The Flids stay perfect on the young season moving to 3-0 behind a huge game from M. Goucher. Scoring six of his teams seven goals for a six point night the Flids left with a 7-4 win. Was Gouch the right choice for the first pick over all? In the loss, Zorros A.J. Benzer was good for a goal and an assist. A. Morozov aka "The Russian Rocket" would have his Draft coming out party in his rookie draft season. Also having a six point night all goals he would add an assist and helped get the Bay Brewery to 2-1 on the season. All first round picks on the winners side had big games putting up big numbers on the night. Morozov would pick up where he left off in his Draft league game and carried it over into BIG B for the Park. Putting up seven points, Alex would have four goals and three assists while the Park where able to over come a two goal deficient and take a 9-5 win. Good Hockey in the Bay last night as we'll be updating all other pages later in the day. 1/6 Four New Featured Videos below and a bunch of new videos added to the all new videos page. Enjoy!

1/6 Four New Featured Videos on the home page and a bunch of new videos added to the all new videos page, enjoy.

1/2 Happy New Year! Week 5 Schedule posted, all pages updated along with two new polls below, check them out!

12/31 Reapers route, Blanks roll and in draft games Zorros connect while the Flids look deep. Reapers keep on truckin already out to a 3-0 start on the season while there still celebrating their KB Cup victory. Last nights W was supported by E. DeMaio and J. Jensen hat-tricks as the whole team put up an all out assault. The Shooting Blanks S. Pontillo is coming of age. After putting up a hat-tick for the Blanks in their win he did the same in his draft league game for the Flids. The Flids were up 4-1 after period one and skated away with a 10-5 victory. Besides Pontillo's outburst M. Goucher had a five point night as number 99 Mikey Byrnes was good for four. The Infamous Zorros stud A. Manson had a four goal night while our first draft replacement player A. Hetzler got a late start and was still able to hit mesh twice. Zorros Hockey connected for nine and with the win they even their record at 1-1 on the young season. Team Standings have been updated while all other pages will be updated soon. Everyone have a Happy and Healthy New Year as we look forward to a great 2010 in the Bay. A lot of more fun stuff planned on the site as well. See you in 2010 my friends!

12/30 Kings show strength in the third and in Draft league play the Dragons hold on to a victory! The Kings R. McGrath had a big night in the Bay putting up a trick and adding an assist for a four point night while scoring some highlight reel goals. The Quad Father was good for a three point night with two goals an and assist while taking over the league lead in scoring with a nine point total. The Dragons would kick off this game quickly as team captain C. Sbrigato would score twice in the first five minutes of play. However, with the Dragons quick start we would still have a one goal game going into the third. The Dragons would quickly add to their one goal lead in the final session tallying the for the next three goals and a 7-3 lead with 7:15 remaining, a life time in four on four hockey. The score quickly became 7-4 with 6:05 left, 7-5 with 5:04 left and 7-6 with 2:15. But Sbrigato would ruin this come back on his forth tally of the night and an 8-6 Dragon winner. All team stats and standings have been updated.

12/28 New Dragons Videos added to site.

12/28 We are good to go this week as the rink is ready with a little help from the rain over the weekend. The Phantoms game is canceled this week due to another team entering the league. L.O.F (Laws of Flatbush). Since The Phantoms already have three games played we need to get L.O.F a game in this week and two next to be up to par. Phantoms will play L.O.F. next week.

12/21 Snowed in! This weeks games are canceled due to the heavy blizzard last weekend. Everyone have a happy and healthy Merry Christmas and hopefully we'll see you next week. Schedules will stay the same just a week later.

12/18 Gravesend and Flids win wild ones as the Reapers show strength in the third. Reapers would wipe out a one goal deficit twice and get their first lead on a late goal at the end of the second taking a 3-2 lead into the third. They would then win the third 2-0 and take a 5-2 win. Reapers J. Jensen registered four points with a trick and an assist as J. Clingo was good for two goals and an a dish. Gravesend and The Unit were involved in a back and forth tussle. After Gravesend would build a 3-1 and a 5-2 lead The Unit were able to get two quick goals at the end of the second to make for a 5-4 game going into the third. S. Kasimis of The Unit would tie the game at the 12:15 mark with his second goal of the night to make for a 5-5 game. Later on Gravesend would get another chance as J. Bova would hit Pontevi on a two on one feed and he would slam home the game winner for a 6-5 win. Gravesends C. Sbrigato also hit mesh twice in the W as Gravesend moves to 2-0 on the season. In our only draft game of the night we needed extra scoring space on the score sheet as both teams combined for 16 goals in a 9-7 battle. The Flids M. Goucher is out to prove why he was drafted number one pick over all as he was good for a five goal night. The game was tied 5-5 going into the third and the Flids would take a 4-2 edge in the final session for the win, Great game! M. Byrne also had a big night for the Flids with two goals and two assists. The beat goes on in the Bay as stats, league leader, standings, score pages and more will be updated later in the day as I'm about to hit the hay.

12/17 Opening night of the Draft saw Bay Brewery fly and BMW roll. In the BIG B the Lightning and the Blanks win putting up goals in the third. The Bay Brewery went with speed in their early draft selections and it showed as the two Brew speedsters A. Morozov and C. Johnson took flight. Morozov would have a four point night with three goals and an assist as C. Johnson would connect twice. BMW would get over their finals loss quickly and their number one draft selection would do what he does best. Put biscuits in the basket as the raining draft scoring champ the last three consecutive seasons would have a six point night with five goals and two assists. Having something to do with six of his teams seven goals they took a 7-4 winner. The late round steal of the draft BMW's R. Tosorrio was good for two goals and an assist in the W aswell. The Phantoms would hang tuff with mighty Astoria for two periods then Lightning would strike on a clear night in the Bay. Astoria's J. Barker would hit the back of the net twice and dish off two as N. Dimoulas would also see light hitting mesh twice. Shooting Blanks and the Kings were involved in a one goal game going into the third but two early third period goals from Conte and Mulroy sent the Blanks on their way to a 5-2 win. BMW's B. Fox was a horse last night. Not only by getting the win in his draft game he filled in for Astoria and the Kings playing in three consecutive games Going 2-1 with a shut out and 3.00 G.A.A. Thanks Billy! All Pages have been updated Draft and BIG B games continue tonight.

12/11 All pages updated and week 2 schedule posted.

12/11 The Unit and the defending champions wipe out a deficit while Astoria get in the W column and Gravesend win their opener. The Park built a three nothing lead on The Unit early in the first but by periods end it was a 3-2 game. The Unit would out score the Park 2-1 in the final two periods to take a 6-5 win. G. Konstantin of The Unit had a four goal night with team captain N. Divittorio putting up two goals and an assist. It looked as if the champion Reapers team would have a Kings Bay Cup hang over quickly trailing 4-0 behind a P. Mulroy hat-trick and J. Ciazzia goal. The Reapers would connect for their first goal of the game with 5:10 left in the second add another with only 1:02 for a 4-2 game going into the third. An early goal in the third and another with 10:24 left the game was suddenly tied. Joe Jensen would get the game winner with 4:34 left behind his two goal two assist night. R. Dooley was also big in the game for the Reapers putting home a trick. J. Brennan and Keith Meilak both connected twice for the Lightning on the way to a 6-3 Astoria victory. The game was a good one that was 4-3 with under five minutes to go with the Lightning scoring two late ones. The Quad Father had a hat-trick in the loss. The Phantoms (house team) put up a strong defensive effort in the first and second periods but Gravesend was able to connect five times in the final session in their all out third period assault. Gravesend got scoring from seven different skaters while goalie Vic Leuong was good for the shut out. All stats, standings, game scores and schedules will be updated shortly as last seasons stats are being saved.

Sbrigato words after a game one win that weren't repeated until the series went the distance and the Dragons were two time champions in the Bay. The Dragons would come out of the first with a 2-1 edge and build on that in the second. The puck would drop in period two and and it only took eighteen tics for a 3-1 Dragon lead. N. Kotlyar the Dragon sniper would score a crushing goal to give his team a three goal lead back but still with plenty of time left. P. Nothing's Done Yet! Dragons goalie S. Balsan words after a game one win. But now it's done and the waiting is over for the man between the pipes as this one will last a life time. A killer defense displayed in the big game. M. Dilberti with a big goal, S. Pontillo hustle and L. Morris dishing off three assists in the season finale all in defeating the number one seed that went undefeated in the regular season. The Dragons are the Draft League Champs. In other games the Shooting Blanks and Kings kicked off their new season with wins. With the Lightning without their two big guns in the line up the Blanks were able to take a 3-1 win on two P. Mulroy goals. The Kings would also grab a win in over time with R. McGrath getting the winner on his second of the night as the Kings had W. Gilroy back in the line up as he was also good for two goals in the Hockey game.

12/4 REAPERS REAPERS REAPERS! The Reapers take the BIG B Cup with a dramatic come from behind double overtime victory! And the Dragons hoist lord Kings Bay in the Draft Finals that went the distance! Goucher. The man's name is Mike Goucher. This seasons scoring champ and this seasons game breaker in the Double Over Time session that made the Reapers Glorious. Unleashing a cannon that broke a 3-3 tie six minutes into the fifth period the Reapers take down their second Cup in the Bay. Period one: Marine Park came out on fire on the attack and looked poised to even a series they trailed by one scoring just one minute into the first off of A. Salvo's stick. The Reapers would come right back to even the score at one as the Bull Horns Blew while a majority Reaper crowd cheered. A. Morovov would have an answer for the horns as he sniped a top corner shop to give the Park a 2-1 edge going into period two. Period two would go score less and we had a Marine Park team up a goal going into the third trying to even a series at one. Even more, the Park would connect for the first goal of the third on Salvo's second of the night to give his team a two goal lead. But here came the Reapers! Dooley would hit the Gouch as he squeezed one home to make for a one goal game. Mr. Scoring title and part of the Reaper one two punch would come on through next. J. Jensen would even the score at three hitting the back of the net and got the express train moving who were now ready to go in for the kill. Period three would end 3-3, period four would end 3-3. Period five would go five minutes and nine seconds and then the shot heard around the Bay would end a great series in a true battle for the Bay that went the Reapers way. What a game what a series what a season. Congrats to the Reapers taking down the BIG B only losing one game all season doing so with a 13-1 record over all. Crown the new champs as the infamous J. Hetzler captain of the Reapers will have the Cup for viewing at Jackie's deli on Ave S where The Gouch and The Reaper Sandwiches will be selling like hot cakes. 11/24 Their was a Battle in the Bay last night and it went the Reapers way! Reapers lead the best of three series one game to none. After not knowing if we would get last night's game in because of a little mist both GM's decided to wait till 8:30 to make the call. 8:30 came and Game one of the finals was a go with a few more problems to unfold. Both teams would start the series with out their starting goalies due Marine Park's goalie out with an injury and the Reapers goalie getting into a minor fender bender. But the show went on! After two rain out's and an almost rain out, Game one of the BIG B finals was finally under way. Period one would see the Reapers draw first blood with their one two combination punch M. Goucher hitting J. Jensen as he squeezed one through the pads for a 1-0 Reapers lead. Reapers took the 1-0 lead into period two and build as E. DeMaio would connect a pass to Dooley that hit the back of the net for a 2-0 Reapers lead. Marine Park would get on the board with just under two minutes to go in the second when A. Salvo took a blast that directed off the goalies mask went straight up and sat in front of the goal crease that R. Gorlick tucked in for a 2-1 game going into the third. Marine Park would get their chances in the third as they pressed for the equalizer but fill in goalie B. Fox said no. Stopping a break away and putting many shots aside. With time running out in game one on the Park they pulled their goalie and a cleared puck landed on the stick of J. Jensen as he put home an easy empty netter to seal the deal for a game one victory. Reapers now just need one more win to finish this off as they piled up an impressive 12-1 record this season over all, but it will take 13 for them to be glorious. The Park will have their hands full trying to take the next two form this team but anything is possible as this game was a good one. Game two is set for next Wednesday time pending as the Cup will be in attendance. This is Hockey Kings Bay Hockey. Playoff stats will be updated later in the day.

11/12 Marine Park never say Die and the Number one seeded Reapers roll. It's a Marine Park Reapers Finals! Marine Park reach the finals for the second straight season and will meet a familiar friendly foe. After trailing 2-0 after one the Park were able to get back within one and head into period three down a goal at 2-1. But the Park would quickly see things fall apart as Bergen Beach tallied for two straight early goals in the third to go up 4-1. Then the Rocket awoke, A. Morozov would cut the lead in half with 6:35 remaining and again would put another one home to get his team back within one on his third of the night for the trick but more important made it a one goal game with 3:45 remaining. Under two minutes to go Marine Park go for the press and with A. Skippy Salvo deep in the zone he spots defensemen R. Gorlick walking in Rob goes five hole through traffic hit's the back of the net and this one would need an extra session. Just :57 seconds into OT and with momentum on their side, R. Abdelhamid would gain the zone with Morozov trailing he picked up a loose puck and would sail an unexpected sharp wrister toward the goal and it made it's way in top shelf and the Park would swarm the Rocket after he put his forth goal of the evening home and sends his teammates to the Finals, WOW. The Reapers would trail by a goal early in the first but after R. McBride would get the Reapers going evening the score at one it would be the last time they would trail again. The Reapers proved why their the number one seed in period two as they put up four with J. Jensen hitting two while Goucher and Dooley added the others with their deep offensive threat. Jensen would finnish his hat-trick off in the third and the Reapers are back in the finals. The Reapers make their third appearance to the finals and each time they made it there they played the same franchise. That team goes by the name of Marine Park. The two teams own a Cup each from each other in the past and this one looks to be the tie breaker. A short lived celebration for both squads with their big wins in the semi's as the BIG B Finals kick off tonight. The Park will have their hands full facing an offensive explosive as the the number one seeded Reapers finished the regular season with a whooping +31 in goal differential. 11/7 Week 13 Schedules posted.

11/4 BMW force a Game 3 in the Draft Finals with a Dramatic Overtime win and there will be a new champ in the BIG B as Bergen Beach move on. A back and forth battle in the Bay between BMW and the Dragons set's up a final game three match in a BMW OT win. BMW would open the scoring in the first and take a 1-0 lead into period two with the Dragons quickly getting even early in the second. BMW would get the next two to go up 3-1 but the Dragons were able to make it a one goal game getting one back to set up a 3-2 game heading into the third. The Dragons would build off their goal that got them back within one and would score the next two in the third with D. Kotlyar nailing his second for the tie and G. Soriano placing the puck past the goal crease for a 4-3 Dragons lead. Just over a minute later BMW's J. Jensen would would tie the game on a back hand beauty to dead lock the game at four. Period three would end this way and we headed for the extra session. A goal for the Dragons would mean a championship, a goal for BMW would extend the battle. Mid Way through the first OT session with a face off deep in the BMW zone a collision at the top circle lead to a two on one the other way with D. Chrigino taking a shot towards the goal and a rebound bounced on trailer D. Rubino's stick as he flipped the game winner home to force a game three as he was mobbed by his team. Bergen Beach captain T. Giordano would get his team going in the first and N. Manferdini would add one in the second to make for a 2-0 Bergen Beach lead going into the third. Bergen Beach would open it up in the third adding four more from four different skaters take the win and head into the semifinals against Marine Park. The two teams spilt the regular season one game a piece and the winner of this one will play for the Kings Bay Cup. The Drama inches on, stay tuned for updated schedules while you can check out the updated Playoff tree here . All pages have been updated.

10/23 Week 11 Posted and final Regular season BIG B Statistics Updated as well as playoff BIG B Statistics minus the Reapers Gravesend game due to the stat sheet being left behind at the rink. That game will be added into the stats soon. Also check out the Playoff tree here.

10/23 The Seventh seeded Kings knock out the number two, Reapers get a scare and Marine Park come on through. Playoff Hockey was defined in the Bay last night as every game was decided in the last three minutes of play. The night kicked off with the number four seeded Marine Park facing off against the number five seeded Sharp Shooters. The Sharp Shooters would get on the board first just six minutes in on a T. Antoniello goal. Marine Park would counter with back to back hook ups with A. Morozov hitting A. Salvo for a 2-1 Marine Park lead going into the second. The two teams would trade goals in the second and it would be a one goal game going into the third. The Shooters M. Marring would get the equalizer three minutes into the final session and the rest of the way would be a back and forth battle for real estate. But as the period winded down past the 2:30 mark a scramble from behind the net lead to a loose puck at the top of the circle and a man with and over sized red helmet roofed one home that would hold up to be the game winner. The Park move on and will face the winner of the Gunners Bergen Beach game. In the Reapers Gravesend game the 9 and 1 Reapers would take a 1-0 lead into period two and excel from their building a 4-1 lead. But gritty Gravesend would never quit and were able to get two quick goal's by period's end, the second one with only nine seconds left to make for a 4-2 game heading into period three. Gravesend would build off that burst in the third and were able to get this game even at four with less than four minutes left in the third. But the number one seed would ruin this Cinderella almost as Clingo would come down on a partial break fake left come back right and slide home the game winner. The Kings upset the number two Shooting Blanks! After a score less first we new this game would be a good one if the Kings would weather the storm and Kings goalie G. Petre was their to take on the task coming up big several times. Star defense man R. McGrath would travel through traffic and rip a blazzer after he gained the blue for a 1-0 Kings lead. Period two would end this way but Blanks R. Conte would get the game even early in the third. With just over five minutes left a motivated D. Chrichigno would fight his way in front for a goal as he banged one home and gave the Kings a 2-1 lead. Blanks captain P. Mulory would have an answer at the 2:50 mark putting a low shot in and we were knotted again this time at two. In stopped clock zone "The Quad Father" would speak! And here's the call, Chrichigno saucer pass to Byrne, Byrne redirects to Diccico, Diccico reaches the Blue steps into one SCORE!! 3-2 Kings lead with just under a minute to go and this lead would hold and the seventh seed knocks off the strong two. Kings started this season with an 0-7 record, R. McGrath would get back in the lineup by week seven to be eligible and the Kings are 4 and 1 ever since. It's the Kings and Reapers in the semi's. Kings Bay playoff Hockey continues in the Bay next week brace yourself for the Battle. Draft league stats updated with final BIG B and Playoff BIG B being updated later in the day.

10/22 Dragons push BMW to the brink after handing them their first loss of the season in Game One of the Draft League finals. BMW would waste no time to score in this one scoring just thirteen seconds into play getting on the board first. After the first goal of the game the Dragons settled in and we would witness a good one. Dragons would get even late in the first on a beautiful feed from D. Kotlyar to line mate Max as period one would end 1-1. BMW's J. Jensen would make it a 2-1 game seven minutes into play in the second with Dragons capo C. Sbrigato making this one even again two minutes later. With period two winding down the Dragons would see a late power play but a costly turn over on the stick of J. Jensen would make for a 3-2 BMW lead going into period three on the scoring champs third of the night. More good action would unfold in the third and both goalies were on their game. But the Dragons D.Kotlyar would strike five minutes into the final session knotting the game at three, C. Sbrigato mumbled no shoot-outs. Referring that there are no shoot-outs in playoff hockey as BMW were victorious twice over the Dragons in the regular season in shoot-outs maintaining their perfect season. Knowing that we knew this series would be a good one. More chances in both directions but nothing doing as this game stayed tied. As we thought we would see an over time period the Dragons would get a face off deep in the BMW zone and a face off won by the Dragons went back to D. Kotlyar as he side stepped around one defender he ripped a low blazzer past the goal crease for a 4-3 Dragon lead with only :52 remaining as the team would roar. BMW would push for an equalizer but the Dragon dee would tighten up and this one would go in the books and C. Sbrigato's Dragon franchise is now only one game away from their second Kings Bay Cup Title. Winning this second game won't be an easy task as much motivated Dragon goalie S. Balsan stressed but his team will be focused and ready. Game two is next Tuesday night with a game three if necessary the following day. The Cup will be in attendance don't forget to put on your seat belts my friends.

10/21 Marine Park need a shoot out, Blanks win a close one, Reapers take a forfeit Win and Kings win their third straight. With all that said the BIG B playoff picture is now clear. With a short Gunners bench Marine Park still wasn't able to capitalize and would see themselves trailing by a goal deep into the third. With time winding down to the seconds Marine Park would pull their goalie for the extra attacker and a six on four advantage they were able to succeed. With only :09 left after a crazy scramble infront they were able to get this game into OT. In a score less extra session we headed to the shoot out which would need a forth round and Marine Park's R. Gorlick would nail the game winner moving Marine Park into the forth seed. They will get to face off with the five seeded Sharp Shooters who lost a nail bitter in the final minute of play on a P. Mulroy slap shot from the point. Murloy finished with a four goal night in this one as his team heads into a match up with the hot Kings who are the owners of three straight wins. Lim, O'Sullivan, McGrath and Chrichigno all had two goals each in this one for the Kings. So this is what the playoff picture looks like with the Blanks moving up to the two seed they will play the Kings, Reapers stay at number one and go against gritty Gravesend, Bergen Beach will take the three spot and go against the six seed defending champion Gunners and a game between Marine Park and the Sharp Shooters will take place. All game times will be worked out and be posted shortly, team captains will also be notified. On another note M. Goucher of the Reapers takes down his second straight scoring title in the Bay third over all. All top three guys were idle tonight because of the forfeit game and the numbers will stick. Congratulations Mike! All finalized team stats and league leader pages will be updated shortly as all other pages have been updated.

10/15 A Rain out! What? A Rain out. Yes a Rain Out. The Final week of the regular season which is position week in the BIG B is a wash and games are rescheduled for this Tuesday 10/20. Playoff will start Wednesday and Thursday 10/21 and 10/22. All team captains will be notified about this week schedule. All Draft and BIG B pages have been updated.

10/15 It will be a meeting between BMW and the Dragons for the Draft League Cup! In BIG B games Kings win their second straight. The night kicked off with a meeting between Garbage Time and the Zorros in a elimination match with the winner playing the mighty BMW. It was by far the best game of the night. After Garbage Time built a 6-3 lead early in the third M. DelleCamelie would get his team back within two on his second of the night. Just like "F" did, P. Rykala would do the same score his second of the night and make it a one goal game. A little over three minutes later and Rykala would do it again finnish off his trick tie the game and send this bad boy into OT. In a back and forth battle into the OT session it was settled after 5:15 of play with Zorros number pick A. Manson finishing off the come far behind win in this epic battle. Great Game! Zorros would wait an hour and meet the undefeated BMW. But as playoff hockey started everyone started with a clean slate at 0-0 and five minutes into play it was the Zorros taking a 1-0 lead. It would only take BMW thirty tics to get even on D. Chrigino first of three on the night as it would be the last time BMW would trail in the game. Scoring four unanswered goals in period two BMW would sail into the finals and make it an eleventh straight over all. BMW make their third straight finals appearance with no Cups to show but this season they have a determined J. Jensen making his first Finals appearance in the Bay. The Dragons would lay the law down in period one coming out the gate with speed and determination building a 5-0 lead after one. The Bay Brewery would manage to get back within three with 7:54 left in the third put the continuous press left for many odd man rushes and the Dragons would add two more and take the win. Dragons defensemen S. Pontillo turned up the speed in this one and was able to bang home three for a tick. C. Sbrigato's franchise the Dragons won the inaugural season Draft league Cup and they will make a run for another. The Dragons were the only team to give BMW the threat of a loss in the regular season taking them to a shoot-out twice. Game One of the Draft League finals kicks off next week and I think this will be a good one. Stay tuned my friends. In the BIG B the Kings get out of the cellar with their second straight win. R. Mcgrath has been on a tear since he was reinstated back in Week 6 getting the nod from the Quad Father, McGrath had a four goal night. Position week is up next as the playoff picture will be very clear after the next game of play. BIG B standings page has been updated. Draft playoff stats, team pages and all other pages will be updated soon.

10/9 Reapers clinch their second straight BIG B division title, Marine Park can hang, Shooting Blanks roar and the Kings stop the bleeding. After going at it the night before Reapers and Sharp Shooters put up another great game. Sharp Shooters would tie this game mid way through the third on M. Profetta's second of the night to make for a 3-3 game. But with time running out and it looked like we were headed to over time the Reapers BIG one two punch would come through again! M. Goucher would hit J. Jensen as he would bury the game winner with only :33 left for his third ( A J. Jensen Hat-trick) of the night. With the win and a Bergen Beach loss the Reapers lock down the number one seed and take down their second straight BIG B regular season division title. Marine Park's A. "Skippy" Salvo remains to stay hot! Having something to do with all five of Marine Park's goals Salvo was good for a trick and two assists. The Park supports the five seed in a tight BIG B division race and will face the Gunners in the position week. With seeds two through six only being separated by three point's their could be some leap froging in the final week of regular season play as teams jock for position. After a scoreless first the Shooting Blanks opened it up in the second scoring four. By game's end P. Mulroy netted two scoring one of his goals on a ridiculous back hand from almost behind the net leaving the crowd in awe while Conte, Johnson, Martin and Ciazza were good for the others. Blanks goalie A. Manno made some big saves on his way to notching the only shut out of the season. The Kings Win! The Kings have their quarterback in the line up and R. McGrath did his thing. Assisting on the Kings first goal and scoring the next two to take a 3-2 lead he would add another assist breaking a 4-4 tie later in the game on a Dan O'Sullivan goal in this back and forth battle. Kings would add another goal and take a 6-4 win. All Pages updated and Week 9 has been posted. Their have been some changes from the original Draft schedule please take note.

10/8 A Perfect Regular Season, Bay Brewery lock down the second seed, Dragons lead frog into the third spot and in the BIG B the Reapers take over first place! BMW reaches perfection! Going 10-0 in the regular season they steam roll into the playoffs and say no pictures. Meaning their mission isn't over yet as they gear up for the second season. Mean while BMW's J. Jensen put home a hat-trick and added an assist on the way to his third straight Draft League scoring title adding another trophy to his collection. The Bay Brewery lock down the number two seed with their win behind a J. Weston hat-trick and a J. Zadvydas three point night. They will get to face off with the Dragons in a first round playoff match who jumped into the third seed with their win. This team has a strong defense and all four of their defensemen were involved in the goal scoring last night. S. Pontillo lead the way with a two goal night while cousin N. Mazzola had a three point night with a goal and two assists. The first round of the Draft League playoffs is set in stone. Dragons and Bay Brewery will go head to head for the right to go to the finals while the perfect BMW will await the winner of the Zorros and Garbage Time. Reapers jump into first place in the BIG B with a win. Dooley was good for all the Reapers goal scoring in this one hitting mesh three times for the trick while the infamous J. Hetzler hooked up two of his tallies. Standings pages have been updated all team stats and league leader pages will be updated soon.

10/2 Two of the Bay's Heavy Weights collide, Reapers unload, Marine Park tally and the Shooting Blanks win a close one. Bergen Beach vs Sharp Shooters was the game of the night! With both teams trading goals in the first the Sharp Shooters would go up by two with 4:30 left in the second on two back to back T. Gallagher goals. With time winding down in the second Bergen Beach defenseman P. Finley would get loose on a break and put home a beauty for his second of the night and get his team within one going into period three. With a back and forth struggle the rest of the way we hit the two minute warning and beyond and for the first time this season their was a chance of the Big 3 from Bergen, Balsamo, Balsamo, and Manferdini being held with out a point. But N. Manferdini would say no gain the zone and find a wide open D. Balsamo for a slam dunk goal to send this baby into OT. With the OT session getting to the under a minute mark the dynamic duo would do it again this time for the win in a similar type play take the two points and go home with a smile. With the Gunners taking a forfeit loss a Phantom House team was put together to take on the Reapers with the game and stats counting for them they would put together an all out assault. After a close first period the Reapers would put up ten unanswered goals and by games end M. Goucher would have a four goal night and P. Lind would connect for a trick in the W with a couple of beauties. Reapers trail Bergen Beach by a point for the first seed but the Reapers have a game in hand which could decide the division title. Marine Park's A. Salvo would have his second straight big night in the Bay putting home four with three assists while A. Morozov inches his way out of his scoring slump with a trick out the hat and two assists. A. Manson had four goals in the loss. With the Park win they reach .500 on the season and move into the fifth place seed. The Shooting Blanks would get a goal in each period with Mulroy, Conte and Johnson being the goal getters they were able to hold off the Kings. The Kings had R. McGrath back in the lineup and he was good for two good ones to keep this game close. He needs to make the rest of the games to be eligible for the playoffs. With that being said the Kings are definitely the best win less team ever in the Bay and will be a scary first round match up for one of the top seeded teams. Great night in the Bay! All pages have been updated with Week 8 posted below! This is how we roll!

10/1 A Perfect Season stays alive in a shoot out, Bay Brewery pull off some dramatics and Marine Park get a win. After BMW kept their streak alive in their first game of their double header in a 5-2 win going 8-0 on the season they get a scare. For the first time this season they would trail going into the final session down a goal. But BMW's I. Podolsky would get the equalizer and knot the game at three only four minutes into the third and make for an interesting finnish. The rest of the way both goalies B. Fox and S. Balsan would be stingy and this game needed to be decided by a shoot out. A 8-0 season would have to be kept alive in a shoot out! Still stingy the first four rounds of the shoot out would go scoreless. After Dragons would miss in round five newly recruited P. Epolito would win the game for BMW and keep the perfect season alive at 9-0 as he was mobbed by his teammates as so was goalie B. Fox after the win. The only thing that stands between BMW and a perfect season is the Zorros who they will face in the final game of the season next week. As the scoring race goes J. Jensen moves into first place with a six point night in his two games played and stands at 32 points with A. Manson getting four points and trails him by two with the two going head to head next week. A Scoring race decided in the last game of the season with the one and two going head to head and the perfect regular season on the line. Can anyone say DRAMA? B. Munday falls out of the scoring race due to a non hockey related injury that will side line him for the rest of the season. The Bay Brewery would score the first four goals of the game but would soon see themselves trailing 6-4 at the 8:15 mark of the third. The Bay Brew would continue to press hard with goalie S. Adelle making some big saves to keep it a two goal game and the Bay Brew would get within one with 2:10 remaining. Pulling their goalie for the final press M. Goucher would make a beautiful crisp pass to an open forward for a tap in goal with only :15 left and the Bay Brew were able to sneak this game into a shoot-out. Bay Brewery would leave the shoot out victorious going two for three in their attempts while their goalie S. Adelle was perfect stopping all three his way. A. Salvo and R. Abdelhamid would both get hat-tricks and get Marine Park a victory while fill in goalie V. Leung was great stopping all shots in his direction getting his second shut out of the season as a back up. All league standings have been updated, stats and other pages will be updated soon.

Emotions were running high after the Reaper big win as Goucher and Jensen made M. Messier like predictions about who will be this seasons champion. The Sharp Shooters would leave the first period up 2-0 and go up 3-1 with 5:49 left in the second. A minute later and we would see a Gravesend penalty shot and M. DelleCamelie "Fire Power" would succeed making it a one goal game on a nifty move. But the Shooters would prove to be to much on this night adding two more in the third with M. Profetta finishing off his hat-trick and taking a 5-2 win. The race is very tight in the BIG B with the fifth seed and first seed being only separated by three points. 9/23 Bergen Beach get a quick one in OT, Marine Park bounce back, Reapers roll and the Sharp Shooters battle! Reapers were able to get a late controversial goal at the end of the first to take a two goal lead after one and they would just get better from there. With M. Goucher adding a trick and and assist R. McBride also had a goal and an assist to boast about. Reapers showed how deep they were in this one getting scoring from five different skaters in the win. Bergen Beach took a 4-2 lead into the third but Gravesend weren't finished just yet with A. With the 4 on 4 OT session not being able to decide this one we headed to the shoot-out. The Shoot-out would need two rounds with N. Manferdni and D. It is the longest season ever in the Bay while Mother Nature kept hitting us hard and after all is said and done it only comes down to one game left in each division for all the cake and cookies. Two series and two series knotted at one, two teams but only one trophy to raise. The next game will decide who will be this season's champion in both divisions. Is anyone excited? Let's get it on!

7/29 The Hansons take home the Draft League Championship while Astoria Knights and Marine Park get game one wins! The Hansons take down the draft league title in a great game two battle. While A. Manson would connect for two quick goals in the first scoring just thirty six seconds apart it looked like a Hansons night. But as it was all Hansons in the first BMW turned it around in the second scoring two quick ones themselves only 1:31 apart. Period two would end that way and we were knotted going into the third. As BMW goalie S. Balsan came up huge all night stopping at least four breakaway tries Hansons goalie S. Adelle also stood up to the task coming up big himself to keep the game tied. But with 6:30 left R. Mazzuchin would hit an open L. Morris at the point as he blazed one through traffic and it managed to get through to break the tie. The Hansons tried to play keep away the rest of the way but BMW would get some chances and S. Adelle was there again. The Hansons would hold their lead the rest of the way with Morris's goal holding up to be the game winner The Hansons are the new Draft League Champs. Hats off to BMW for playing a great series with both games being decided in the third period. The Hansons win the Cup! Game ones set off in the A Elite and the BIG B and we saw some good ones. Bull Dogs would strike first but the Knights would put up the next six goals to go up 6-1 late into the second. As the Knights would go on a power play the Bull Dogs got some life on a short handed A. Salvo goal to make it a 6-2 game going into the third. 1:20 into the third M. McGregor was good for his second of the night to make it a 6-3 game. At 6:45 Bull Dogs D. Kull would strike to make it a two goal game and at the :58 mark A. Salvo would make it a one goal game with time winding down. As the Bull Dogs would press for the equalizer in this stunning come back, the five goal deficit would be a little two much and the Knights are one win away from the Kings Bay Cup. In the Astoria win R. Alibrandi was on fire in their six goal barrage putting up four while S. Ferguson had the other two, game two kicks off Thursday night at 9:15. An early Marine Park out burst gave them a three goal lead only 4:20 into play on Maring, Conguista and Morozov goals. B. Munday would get his Gunners back into it scoring a short handed beauty as he split the defense on his first of the night to make it a two goal game. But the two teams would trade goals the rest of the night and Marine Park would take a 6-3 game one win. B. Munday was good for the trick in the loss while Maring posted two for the Park in the win. Game two of the best of three set's off Thursday night at 8:00. There will be a chance for two teams to lift the Cup on Thursday night, will they succeed or will the teams down a game force a game three? It remains to be seen as the puck drops on Thursday eve. All team pages and playoff leader pages will be updated later in the day along with the playoff tree.

One to remember for Adelle! Hansons goalie S. Adelle came up big making some dazzling saves in his teams playoff run going 3-0 to take down the draft league title while claiming his first championship win since the mid 80's.

7/22 The Hansons take Game One of the Draft League Finals! Hansons Team Captain R. Mazzuchin would get his team on the board in the first off a beautiful pass from A. Manson to take a 1-0 lead but BMW star G. Soriano would even the score late in the first for a 1-1 game after one. Period two would belong the Hansons as Hansons number one draft pick number two over all A. Manson would tally twice to give his team a two goal lead after two. Just a minute and a half into the third BMW's P. Ryakla would dish off a beauty to B. Danilovich at the top circle and we had a one goal game again. At the seven thirty mark Hansons defense men S. Pontillo would blaze one home from the point and get his team a much needed two goal lead back. As time winded down I. Podolsky would get BMW some life connecting with just 2:11 left and we had a one goal game once again. But as the seconds wore down and BMW would press for the equalizer A. Manson would get loose finnish off his hat-trick and grab a game one win for the Hansons in the best of three. Hansons are now just one game away from the draft league title but the BMW will stand in their way in a game two battle as they will try and force a game three set for next Tuesday night.

The Kings Bay Cup will be Back in attendance in the Bay as Week 19 will see at least one champion and possibly three. Who will be the next to lift the silverware?

Marine Park edges their way into the Kings Bay Finals after pulling off some late magic yet again in back to back weeks in the Bay. Marine Park forward R. Zurawski would get his counter parts on the board early in the first but the Reapers would counter on a late M. Goucher goal to tie the game after one. Period two would end score less and we had a 1-1 game going into the final session or was it the final session. After a back and forth battle split scoring champ M. Goucher would do it again on his second of the night putting the Park in a 2-1 hole connecting with under five minutes to go. As the Park tried to press goalie C. Falco handled turnover's well and R. Zurawski would find other split scoring champ J. Maring and he would hit home on a partial breakaway for the Park with under two minutes to go and the score would be 2-2 as period three would end soon after. As Marine Park came down 3 on 2 in the OT session the Reapers infamous J. Hetzler would line up the Rocket and Marine Park would see a power play opportunity. Marine Park would press to get the game winner forward R. Zurawski would find an open J. Maring as he slid it home and get Marine Park into the Kings Bay Cup Finals. The Gunners would also pull off late dramatics to earn their way the right to play for lord Kings Bay Cup. The hardest shot in the league B. Munday would get his Gunners on the board in the first and the Shooting Blanks would knot the score in the second on a R. Conte goal as we had another 1-1 tie going into the final session or was it the final session yet again. The Blanks J. Barker would hit mesh in the third, break the dead lock and the Blanks kept moving. Time is winding down and the Gunners need a goal. They would draw an interference call with under a minute to go and a 6 on 4 would unfold as Gunner goalie F. Limindri is pulled the Graham brothers would have their say. As Jimmy would put the puck to the net brother Joey was their with yes only :03 left bang it home as you heard all Gunners roar for a tie score. Playoff Hockey is all about unlikely hero's and as a puck got tipped deep into the Blanks zone R. Cupelli would be there to pick it up and his vision saw old timer J. Smith in front of the net for a connection with under :50 left in the first Over time Period and they would succeed! The men with red and black are going where they need to be, the finals. It's the Gunners and Marine Park for it all! A night to remember in the Bay! Notable mention, all goalies were ridiculous tonight as BJ Florio was out standing, C. Falco, F. Limindri and J. Ciazza all did there thing in the summer heat. Two overtime games, two come from behind wins with late goals in regulation can you ask for more? The drama unfolds! Half the Gunners donned a Marine Park jersey just a season or two ago with Marine Park franchise players L. Morris and J. Borruso regrouping the Gunners put their squad together via the popular website face book and now the two will meet in the best of three. The finals is set! Marine Park vs the Gunners. Game one of the best of three will kick off next week. A crazy night in the Bay! Playoff stats will be updated soon.

7/15 It's the number one seeded Bull Dogs Vs the number two seeded Astoria Knights for the A Elite Kings Bay Cup title! The Defending champion Bull Dogs built a 5-1 lead and saw their four goal margin get cut to two midway through the third. But back to back scoring champ A. Salvo wouldn't have it as he hooked up the next goal and scored his teams last goal for a four point night with two goals and two assists. Team captain D. Kull also posted two goals as so did C. Stracuzzi. The Bull Dogs make it to the finals yet again in their third straight season in as many tries. They will go for Kings Bay Cup title number two against another team from Astoria. Last two seasons they went against the lighting, but this season it will be the Knights who are also from Astoria making it to the finals in their rookie season in the Bay. The Knights built a 4-1 lead on two goals from the man with the hands R. Alibrandi with S. Martin and J. Verde providing the other offense in the 4-1 lead. The Park pressured hard in the third but Knights goalie G. Ashanasiodis was their to keep the lead. The Park would manage to cut the lead in half but that would be all as the Knights did their thing the rest of the way and will make it to the Kings Bay finals in the first season in the Bay. The Best of three series will kick off soon as scheduling will be posted shortly. Both teams lost only once during the regular season in regulation time with the Bull Dogs also losing one by forfeit. The two teams finished with the same amount of points at 16 and split the head to head to match during the season. The hungry team will meet up with Marine Park who pulled off some heroic magic in the final minutes of play. Enter the Revival of the Russian Rocket! Hero of the night A. Morozov provided all four of the Park's goals in a dramatic come from behind 4-3 win. With the Park trailing 3-1 with nine minutes to go in the final session Morozov would strike at the 6:48 mark to get the Park back within one. Marine Park goalie C. Falco would come up big with faceoffs deep in their zone keeping it a one goal game as time winded down. The Park got a power play opportunity as they pressured and another penalty was called giving the green leafs with a circle a five on three with under three minutes to go. The game would get tied with two minutes left as Morozov completed his hat-trick and he wasn't finished just yet now up five on four. Marine Park would do it again with :40 left giving them a 4-3 lead they erupted in glory getting their first lead of the game back since the 14:00 minute mark of period one on the Rocket's forth of the night. The final :40 felt like forever but the Park over came a team that had their number the past two seasons. Marine Park forward R. Abdelhamid who was out with a groin injury called a perfect game from the side lines pumping the Park to victory and all he needed was a suit and tie to claim a coach victory. Marine Park will face the Reapers in the semi's next week as we'll have the two scoring champs lined up against each other. The Gunners came out on fire! As TJ Munday changed his wheels before game play he was ready to fly! Finishing off his hat-trick early in the second period of play the Gunners built a 6-0 lead. The Pit Bulls would keep on pressing and manage to make this a one goal game but the deficit would be too big to over come. A. Pirozzi and B. Munday's Gunners will head to the final four against the defending champion Shooting Blanks. The final four is set! The top four seeds move on. 7/9 The bottom seeded BMW pull off an upset and the Hansons get a win with some tricks. The 3 and 7 BMW knock off the number one seeded 9 and 1 Bay Brewery! It was all about the baseball glove of BMW goalie S. Balsan. Weathering the storm in the beginning of the game and stopping two breakaway's later in the game BMW quickly put the Brewery in a 2-0 hole on goals from I. Podolsky and P. Ryakla. J. Jensen would tally to get the Brewery on the board to make it a one goal game but I. Podolsky would strike again with just under a minute left in the first to give his team a two goal lead going into period two. The Brewery's J. Jensen would get his second of the night for the only goal scored in period two and we had a one goal game going into the final session. BMW's back up team captain G. Soriano would not let this game slip away as he would score his teams next two goals and put his team up by three. R. Tesoriero would bang home a rebound for the Bay Brew to make it a two goal game again but that would be it as BMW would shut the door the rest of the way and head into the Draft League Finals. BMW will get to meet the Hansons who were involved in a back and forth battle with the defending Draft champion Dragons. This game had the look of a high scoring affair with the score 3-2 after one in the Hanson's favor. But the Dragons came out strong in the second and would out score the Hanson's 2-1 which would add up to a 4-4 tie going into the third. J. Weston and A. Manson of the Hanson's supplied the first four goals for the Hanson's netting two each and they would also have a say in the final session. Manson would finnish his hat-trick mid way though the third and break the four four dead lock to take a 5-4 lead as he sailed one through. From their on in it would be all about Hanson's goalie S. Adelle. Adelle sprawled all over the goal crease to keep out a huge Dragon scoring chance then turned a side a blazing wrister on another Dragon rush clinging onto his one goal lead. As the Dragons kept pressing with time winding down J. Weston would capitalize on a turn over and hit the Bulls Eye into the back of the empty net finnish his hat-trick and end this one 6-4 for a Hanson's win. It's a Hanson's and BMW meeting for the Draft League Finals in a Best of Three series which will be scheduled soon. Stay tuned as all playoff stats, playoff tree and playoff scoring leader pages will be updated on Friday as we look forward to an interesting night in the Bay tonight with some key BIG B Divisional playoff matches.

7/8 The Grizzlies Win!! Yes the Grizzlies Win!! Shooting Blanks grind their way into the final four and in A Elite games Marine Park hold off a late flurry and Astoria Knights take a forfeit win. A man of his word. Grizzlies Captain W. Thompson came up the score booth before his teams playoff game and said I'm not going out like that and left referring to his teams win less season. Then he went down to his team laid the law down and made a speech of a life time. Preaching how this could be his last game in a Grizzlies uniform and telling his team to focus. Wayne would bang home his teams first goal of the night and lift his team to another level from there. Grizzlies G. Santos, D. Chrichigno and L. Lazo would score two goals each the rest of the way and earn the Grizzlies a meeting with the number one seeded Reapers. Wayne and company have a tall task ahead, could this be a Cinderella story in the making or have they already won their super bowl? In the game of the night we saw a great playoff game between the Shooting Blanks and Gravesend. Minutes into the game Gravesend would blaze a blast off the post that went directly to a Blanks defensemen as he hit P. Mulory going the other way and Mulroy quickly made it a one nothing game. Less than a minute into period two Mulroy would strike again and give his team a two goal lead. That's the way period two would end with the Blanks up by two going into period three. Gravesend C. Mancini would break on through the J. Ciazza wall with a blast from the point and we would now have a one goal game. A back and forth battle the rest of the way but as Gravesend pressed in the final minutes the Blanks would jump on a loose puck and it was good for a breakaway the other way as P. Pas would bury it for a two goal lead and send the Blanks into the final four. Marine Park (A) A. Morozov and A. Faynkikh both had two goals each wiping out a two goal deficit as back up goalie BJ Florio would hang tuff the rest of the way for the Park as the Unit would get back within one and were at the door step with Florio having an answer with under a minute to go taking a 4-3 win. With the win Marine Park move back into the third seed and will face Astoria Knights in the first round of the playoffs and The Unit will get to meet the defending champion Bull Dogs. Marine Park's N. Conguista and D. Kull both served their suspension last night and with Kull's suspension the Bull Dogs didn't have enough guys to field their team and took a forfeit loss. Final week stats, standings, playoff stats and playoff tree will be updated soon. Draft league playoffs kick off tonight in the Bay!

7/4 Happy 4th of July!! Week 16 schedule posted and final BIG B team stats and league leader pages have been updated.

7/2 Shooting Blanks gear up and are ready to defend, Gravesend take one in OT and in Draft games Dragons pull one out short handed as Bay Brewery see a ninth win. The Playoff picture is now Clear! Gravesend C. Mancini was good for a four point night with a hat-trick and an assist. His most important point came in the OT session as he took a M. DelleCamelie pass and got it by for the game winner finishing off his trick. With the win Gravesend move up in the standings to the sixth seed and will have the pleasure of meeting the defending champion Shooting Blanks who locked down the number three seed in their win. S. Blanks R. Conte had a big night as his number was on the scoring sheet eight times with five goals and three assists. In the one positive the Park took in the loss J. Maring was able to get a goal in the game and get a tie with M. Goucher of the Reapers for the scoring title. Both players finished with 34 points each as we'll have a split scoring champion this season. With the Park loss they move down to the forth seed and get to meet the fifth seeded Kings. The two teams have a history and as always this should be a good one. The number two seeded Gunners will meet the seventh seed Pit Bulls. The one game the two teams played this season was a good one goal game going in the Gunners favor. The Reapers still have to await the winner of the Aeros Grizzles game which will take place this Tuesday. The BIG B is now set in stone, we made it! The second season will now begin. In draft games Bay Brewery took down their ninth win with a big third period. J. Jensen's five point night with four goals and an assist put him on his way to back to back scoring titles in the Draft league play having a 42 point season, way to go Joe. With Dragons down a man in a 3-3 tie and time winding down Dragons threw down a home run pass that hit "F" Dellecamelie AKA "Firepower" as he made a deke behind the net came out across the front of the goal made another deke and was able to slip the game winner by with just :07 left if a great 4-3 game. The draft teams that played each other tonight will all meet again next week in the first round of the playoffs. In A Elite news Marine Park (A) will give back a forfeit win they took over the Unit due to rain in their borough and not in the Bay and since both teams didn't play this week and we still have another game to finnish before we start playoffs both teams agreed to play this game so they'll be fresh for playoff hockey. With this game not played yet Marine Park drop down to the fourth seed but can regain third seed with a win in that final game next week. Playoff Hockey is coming back to the Bay next week, stay tuned as the saga continues. All draft pages updated, final regular season BIG B team stats will be updated later in the day with all standings pages updated. Everyone have a happy and healthy 4th of July, see you next week.

6/26 Reapers clinch the BIG B Division title, Bull Dogs take over first in the A Elite, Kings grind one out and the Pit Bulls and Aeros roll into the playoffs with some momentum. Reapers clinch the BIG B with a little help. Winning a dramatic game over Marine Park, G. Nicholes would score the go ahead goal with just ten seconds left in regulation then the Reapers would take their make up game 4-2 as the teams finished off their final period of play. Kings help the Reapers cause grinding out a 2-1 win over the Gunners in a low scoring battle. Trailing by a goal late in the second Mike DiCicco would blast one home to knot the game and C. Pomarico would hit mesh to take the lead as fill in goalie G. Petre would be solid between the pipes all night to take the win. Bull Dogs clinch the A Elite title with a win over the B House taking place of Damage inc. who are officially eliminated for playoffs contention as a fifth seed. With the Bull Dogs having a game left against Astoria even if the Bull Dogs would lose both teams would have the same amount of points but Bull Dogs hold the first tie breaker which is more wins so the division title goes to them. A Salvo had a four point night for the Bull Dogs in their win as he looks like a lock for the A Elite scoring title with a game to play. If Salvo's scoring lead holds up which it will, he'll become the first back to back scoring champ in the Bay. The Pit Bulls jumped out to a 4-1 lead but Gravesend would be able to get back within one on two late M. DelleCamelie AKA "fire power" goals. As time winded down Pit Bulls goalie R. Molina would hang tuff the rest of the way and take the victory. Pit Bulls captain G. Soriano and team leading scorer M. Marring both had a two goal night each in the 4-3 win. With the Aeros trailing by two S. Pontillo was able to bang one past the pipes to make it a one goal game and B. Main would tie the score late in the third to send this game into OT. Midway through the extra session Pontillo would dish one off to J. Marando and Marando would blaze one home taking the W for the Aeros as he got mobbed. On a positive for the Grizzlies they got a point out of the game and we'll get to see these two teams go at it again in the first round of the playoffs next week. The BIG B scoring race heats up! In the Marine Park Reapers game J. Marring and M. Goucher both headed into the game with 30 points each. They both finished the game with three points each to be tied at 33. Goucher would finnish his make up game against Gravesend with an assist to take a 34 to 33 point lead but Marring still has a game to play. He'll need one point to tie, two points would give him the BIG B scoring title. The playoff picture becomes a little clearer in all divisions but with some teams still having a game left to play all is not said and done just yet. With the holiday weekend next week we may try to go Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Team captains will be notified to see if we can make this happen. It is 3:59 am my friends, your editor slash statistician slash friend slash clock guy slash guy who takes the water off the rink slash big red helmet slash Mr. Dedication slash I'm going to bed and there's a lot more slashes I can't think of as team and league leader pages will be updated later in the day with all other pages already being updated. 6/24 Two Astoria late goals secure a win, Bull Dogs get two points with an Over Time goal and the Pit Bulls take one. An R. Alibrandi hat-trick was good for a Knights win, scoring the go ahead goal with just 2:50 remaining and sealing the deal with an empty netter finishing off his trick. The Knights J. Barker had a two point night dishing off two for goals in the W as the Knights sit atop the division in the A Elite. Marine Park (A) and the Bull Dogs were involved in a wild one with both teams scoring a fluke goal each in a game that needed OT to settle the out come after a score less third period. J. Marring would supply both goals for Marine Park while A. Salvo supplied both of the Bull Dogs goals. But it would be the Bull Dogs Franco ending the game in over time on a two on one break wristing home a blazer with just 1:30 left in the extra session taking the win. Pit Bulls M. Marring had a six point night with two goals and four assists while T. Antoniello put home five. With the Pit Bulls win the can do no worse than seventh seed in the standings with one left to play. On a sour note N. Conguista of Marine Park and D. Kull of the Bull Dogs both get a one game suspension each for fighting and T. Antoniello of the Pit Bulls also gets a game for abuse of officiating. All pages have been updated.

Mike DiCicco of the Kings as you all know as the "Quad Father" made his debut between the pipes because of a last minute cancellation from their starter and he impressed. With the Kings up 1-0 with time winding down in the second the rain came. After a 15 minute rain delay the game went on and the Kings got two more goals in the final session and yes he did it, got the shut out in his first game playing goal in the Bay. Kings goal scorers were M. Byrne, R. McGrath and J. Longhitano in the win. All standings pages updated, a little backed up on the stats pages but will get them done shortly stay tuned as the battle for the Bay continues.

House team was called upon to take on the Knights from Astoria with the out come of the game counting for Astoria. The House was able to hang through the first with goalie V. Leung making some nasty saves they trailed only by one. But Astoria would connect for three in the second and another four in the third to take a eight zero victory. J. Four of the eight Bay Brewery wins have been only by a goal but they keep finding a way to get the job done. In this win, draft league leading scorer J. Jensen put up four goals and added an assist but it was W. Thompson's goal that held up to be the game winner as he put it home on a sharp angle. Dragons capo C. Sbrigato had a six point night in the loss with four goals and two assists. Bull Dogs star M. McGregor lifted his team to victory putting home a hat-trick as the A Elite leading scorer A. Salvo had four assists on the evening hooking up four of his teams five goals. We picked up where we left off in the Reapers Shooting Blanks game with the Blanks up by a goal with 10:52 remaining in the second period. Only thing was the Blanks only showed with four skaters and the Reapers would make them pay. Pouring it on from the drop of the puck they put up nine goals plus the one they already had taking a 10-4 win. Reapers R. McBride looked like a man possessed as he had a career night in the Bay putting home five goals determined to get his Reapers the W. Reapers storm into first place with the win holding a one point edge over the Gunners with the Gunners still having a game in hand and they hold a two point lead over Marine Park with the Park also having a game in hand. The two teams will meet in a show down next week which should determine the top three seeding in the BIG B as the race heats up. All draft pages have been updated, A Elite and BIG B standings have also been updated with all other pages being updated soon.

5/28 In Draft games Bay Brewery go seven for seven as the Dragons put up seven. Kings hold off a late rush and Reapers and Gravesend game will be continued. Kings R. McGrath was good for a Hat-trick as the Quad Father would add two with M. Byrne also connecting for a 6-5 Kings win. S. Kelly had a five point night for the Aeros in the loss with three goals and two assists. J. Jensen's late goal in the second and early goal in the third put his Reapers up 4-2, but then a light mist fell and it was enough for the ref's to call the games and we'll have to be pick up where we left off with 8:53 left in the third. The Bay Brewery reach 7-0 but it wasn't easy. Trailing by a goal going into the third period they were able to out score their opponents two zip in the final session to keep their perfect season alive. The Bay Brew just need one more point or a Hansons loss to clinch the division title. The Dragons D. Kotlyar put home a hat-trick and added an assist for a four point night helping his team get the job done. Jo Jo Bosco also chipped in with two goals and an assist with the captain C. With the Gunners win they move back into first place holding a one point lead over Marine Park and the Reapers. Reapers M. Goucher and J. Jensen were at it again hooking up for six goals. The Gouch was a part of everyone of his teams seven goals getting mesh four times and assisting to mesh three times. Partner in crime J. Jensen was good for the hat-trick and hooking up three. Goucher two huge nights in back to back games totaling a whopping thirteen points put him at top the pack in the scoring race. The Reapers two points put them in a tie for second with Marine Park, both teams stand at 5-1-1. The two teams will meet in a couple of weeks which should be a good one. Gravesend would trail by two after one but get back one in the second and out score their opponents four to one in the third to take a 5-3 win. Gravesend M. DelleCamelie as you all know as "F" or "Firepower" had a two goal night as so did C. Mancini with N. Lagouigro getting a goal and two assists. 5/21 Marine Park move into first, Shooting Blanks come from behind, Reapers take control and in draft games the Bay Brew stay perfect through six. J. Marring leads the league in scoring and led the way for Marine Park with a five goal night. With the Marine Park win they move into first in the BIG B. Shooting Blanks P. Mulroy would score two late second period goals to knot the game at two going into the third and finnish off his hat-trick in the final session to go up a goal. S. Blanks R. Conte would add some insurance for the Blanks in the final minutes of play to secure the win. Seven and seventy seven lit up the score sheet for the Reapers and they go by the names of...(short pause) M. Goucher and J. Filipelli. M. Goucher would have a six point night with five goals and an assist while J. Filipelli had a seven point night with four goals and three assists. The one two punch held down the win. In Draft games the Bay Brewery's R. Zurawski and a masked man with a huge red helmet both had a five point night each. Zurawski's five points added up to a hat-trick and two assists while helmet man had a four goal night adding an assist. With the win the Bay Brew Crew move to 6-0 on the season. Standings have been updated all other pages will be updated soon.

5/20 Marine Park hold on, Bull Dogs get a split, Astoria Knights roll and in Draft Games The Hansons win their second straight. Marine Park would open with six straight goals taking a 6-0 lead into the third but no lead would be safe against the defending champs. The Bull Dogs would swarm in the third scoring four straight goals in the first seven minutes of play to get within two. The Park would call a time out and were able to hold them off the rest of the way adding an empty netter taking a 7-4 win. Marine Park's S. Kelly was good for hat-tick in the victory. The Unit and the Bull Dogs would trade four goals each through regulation but A. Salvo would connect on his second of the game with just thirty five seconds left in the OT session getting the Bull Dogs a split on the evening. Astoria Knights showed debt once again getting goal scoring from five different skaters, scoring three of them in the third Astoria took a 5-2 win. In draft games the Hansons A. Manson would have a five point night with four goals and an assist having something to do with five of his teams seven goals scored in the victory. With the win, the Hansons are just two points behind the first place Bay Brewery. All other pages will be updated shortly.

5/15 Week 9 Schedules posted and the rest of the season schedule has been updated.

5/15 Well two for three isn't bad as the rain hit last night and last Thursday keeping most BIG B teams out of commission two weeks in a row. Tuesday and Wednesday were beautiful nights all Team stats, standings, league leader pages have been updated from those games. Schedules will be updated today and Week 9 will be posted shortly.

5/14 Shooting Blanks and Pit Bulls put up some points, and in draft games the Bay Brewery and The Hansons both explode in the third claiming victory. Shooting Blanks C. Johnson was on fire putting home four goals on the night helping secure the win with R. Conte also having a four point night with two goals and two assist as the Blanks put up ten on the evening. Pit Bulls gelled behind a M. Marring four point night with a hat-trick and an assist and Team captain G. Soriano put home two and hooked up two in the win. Pit Bulls goalie R. Molina worked hard between the pipes making many big saves earning the shut out. The Bay Brewery lead 4-2 going into the third but Dragons D.Kotlyar would quickly make it a one goal game just a minute into the third. But the Bay Brewery would then turn it up a notch and the game seemed to turn around when J. Jensen took a shot and the rebound went to W. Thompson as he banged it home as the crowd roared. W. Thompson scored his first goal of the season only one day after his birthday. The Bay Brew would connect three more times after Waynes goal and roll to 5-0 on the season. The Hansons and BMW were dead locked at one going into the third but the Hansons would out score their opponents 6-3 in the final session taking the win. Hansons captain R. Mazzuchin had a five point night with two goals and three assists while A. Manson had a hat-trick in the win. All standings have been updated, team stats and league leader pages will be updated shortly as usual it's late or early I should say.

5/13 The Unit win in OT, Damage Inc. get in the W column and Gravesend win their third straight. The Unit and the Knights were dead locked at two going into the third as The Unit's A. Kuhnle put his team up by one with 12:45 remaining. That lead held up till 3:45 of the third when R. Alibrandi evened the score once again with his second goal of the night and this game would need OT to settle it. The Unit would take a penalty three minutes into the OT session but it didn't stop them from taking the W on B. Kasimis second goal of the night for the game winner. The Unit lead the pack in the A Elite now with a 4 and 1 record. Damage Inc. came with their big guns last night and showed what this team is capable of doing. With the score tied at two early in the second Damage Inc. connected for three goals in less than a three minute span to go up 5-2. The Park would get within two but the empty netter sealed the deal for Damage Inc. taking a 6-3 victory. C. Ryan had a four goal night for Damage Inc. in the win. Gravesend win their third straight behind yet another big game from M. DelleCamelie with a five point night. M. DelleCamelie's hat-trick and two assists had something to with five of his teams six goals, they don't call him Fire Power for nothing. Gravesend's 68 also had big night with two goals and an assist. In other A Elite news the Lightning and Bombers who both struggled to field a team this season both decided to throw the towel in, we are still five teams strong in the A Elite and it will be interesting to see how the remainder of this season unfolds with all the teams looking strong and having a shot at the title. Standings pages have been updated team and league leader pages will be updated shortly. Schedules will also be updated over the weekend.

5/8 A week to forget in the Bay! With so much rain fall the last three days we changed the name of the rink for a week to Lake Bay. We were only able to get draft games in this week so we'll all look forward to getting back to action in Week 8 of the season. We'll throw the rain outs on the back of the season and follow the schedule as stated earlier in the week. P.S. All Draft Stats have been updated.

5/7 The Bay Brewery grind out a win to stay undefeated, Dragons show strength and the Shooting Blanks and the Reapers get wet. Team Muzzuchin now The Hansons with a name change opened up a two goal lead on the Brewery but the Brewery would connect for the next three and the two teams would get two goals each to end the second for a one goal Bay Brew lead going into the third. Bay Brewery would go up by two with 3:44 left and the Hansons would get back within one with just 1:04 left. J. Jensen would finnish off his hat-trick in the empty net to seal the deal and get the Bay Brewery to 4-0 on the season. A. Manson had a hat-trick in the loss for the Hansons. The Dragons would bang home three goals in each period posting nine. Dragons Captain C. Sbrigato had a five point night with two goals and three assists with S. Noto also putting up five getting a goal and hooking up four. Notable mention M. DelleCamelie AKA "Fire power" had two goals and two assists in the win. The Shooting Blanks lead the Reapers 2-1 after one but the rain wouldn't fail us as it came down hard on the two teams. We'll continue this game at a later date from the beginning of the second as we keep our fingers crossed for tonight.

5/6 Will it ever stop raining? Heavy rains on and off all day Monday and Tuesday keep us at Bay in the Bay for last night games. The Weather men are calling for a clear up for tomorrow afternoon and we'll try to get the rink ready for game time but the official call will be made by midday for tonight's action, stay tuned.

5/1 Gravesend add strength, Bull Dogs and Damage inc. got a period in but but..... Gravesend add a couple of names to their roster and they provide quickly. Newly acquired Gravesend forward Lagonigro made his debut in a big way putting up five points on the night with two goals and three assists powering a 5-2 Gravesend win. Aeros also added a good pick up, L. Kleinberg who scored both Aeros goals in the loss. Bull Dogs and Damage inc. went at it for a period and five minutes but then a heavy mist fell down on the Bay and that's all that we would get in on the evening. Bull Dogs lead 4-1 before the cancel call and this game will be finished at a later date. In a pervious headline news story this week it was stated in the Astoria vs Astoria match up was the first OT shoot out in a A Elite game but it was actually the second shoot out in the A Elite. The first shoot out was between the Bull Dogs and the Bklyn Bombers a couple a seasons ago, the stat guru has spoken. Good night and good luck, week seven schedules will be posted shortly.

4/10 Reapers roll, Marine Park wins three in row, Gunners show grit as the Kings add some fire power. M. Gouchers four goal night and BJ Florio's solid play between the pipes was enough for a Reapers win and a 2-0 start the season. 88 of the Reapers also connected twice in the win. All J. Maring does is score goals. 3/25 A Change of Tide in the Bay! The Bull Dogs win the A Elite Kings Bay Cup. For the First time in three seasons their will be a new Heavy Weight Champion of the Bay and they go by the name of the Bull Dogs. After a cautious first twelve minutes of play by both teams Bull Dogs star A. Salvo would get one through and begin his stellar night. Just two minutes later D. Kull AKA Pudge would tally to give the Bull Dogs a big two goal lead with just a minute left. With just seconds left in the period Astoria came down on a fast break and ripped one towards the goal but Bull Dogs goalie A. Manno came up big turning the pad on the puck to keep it a two goal Bull Dog lead. Just three minutes into the second Astoria would go on a power play and make the Bull Dogs pay quick as J. Brennan blasted one home to make it a one goal game. But A. Salvo would come back giving his Bull Dogs a two goal lead at the 9:48 mark then a three goal lead with just 1:37 left finishing off his hat-trick and putting his team up 4-1 going into the third. Bull Dogs kept the momentum going in the final period of play with A. Salvo putting in his fourth at the 13:40 mark and C. Stracuzzi following up at the 12:06 mark. Just a minute later N. Dimoulas would get one back for Astoria, but this night would belong to the Bull Dogs as it was an all out five man team effort playing a near perfect game. The two teams would trade a goal each down the stretch and that's how this one would end with the Bull Dogs coming out victorious. Tip you cap to the Mighty team from Astoria who has three Cups in the Bay under their belts and I doubt these guys are finished just yet. But this season will go to the Bull Dogs as we crown the new A Elite Champs of Kings Bay. Pictures of the Bull Dogs Championship win coming later in the day along with all finalized winter season statistics. In opening night of the BIG B division Marine Park edged the Aeros 6-4 behind a J. Maring Hat-trick. A. Faynkikh had a two goal night in the loss for the Aeros. Aeros B. Buckman and Marine Park's R. 3/19 It's a Dragon Parade in the Bay as they take the Draft League Title! Another late start in the Bay and the lateness rule was put into effect as the Dragons started the game on a two minute power play. But with back up goalie BMW's R. Tesoriero easily killed it off as he was stopping pucks in every direction. Last game's hero "F" AKA "Fire Power" would get things started for the Dragons with a blazing wrister and that was just the beginning of a long night for their opponents. Just 1:15 later D. Rubino would connect to make it a two goal game and just another minute later A. Manson would tally his first of the evening to make it a 3-0 game going into period two. More of the same came in the second with Manson getting his second of the night and team captain C. Sbrigato nailing home two for a 6-1 Dragons lead going into the final session. The Dragons would add three more goals in the third with A. Manson finishing off his hat-trick and N. Mazzola and G. Soriano adding goals themselves. The number one seeded Dragons lift the Cup going 3-0 in their playoff run and 7-2-1 in regular season play. The Mastermind behind this whole scheme of things C. Sbrigato who actually had the number one draft pick in the draft and traded for the number three spot so he would pick 3 and 6 in the first two rounds instead of 1 and 8. It all worked out for Sbrigato taking home his first Kings Bay Cup along with his other draft pick KB Cup winner first timers such as A. Manson, G. Soriano, M. DelleCamelie, T. Ucciardino and goalie F. Lamandri. For D. Rubino and N. Mazzola this was their second Kings Bay title. Raise your hands for the Dragons for a great season and taking down the inaugural Draft League title. Check for Spring season news. Photos of the Dragons Cup celebration coming your way soon stay tuned.

3/17 Shooting Blanks sip from the Cup! The Shooting Blanks take home the Kings Bay Champions Trophy! After three straight trips to the Kings Bay Cup finals the Shooting Blanks make sure this one would be theirs with a late third period explosion that would get them over the top. The Kings would start last nights play with a four minute short handed delay of game penalty for arriving late to the game. They quickly killed it off but the Blanks controlled the play with Kings goalie A. Manno coming up big in the first. With just 1:07 left in the period the Blanks M. Spiteri would break on through for a 1-0 Blanks lead. After a scoreless second we had a one goal game going into the third period of the final game of the season, just as the come back Kings wanted. But with 9:52 left in the third the S. Blanks captain P. Murloy would make it a two goal game as he put one past the goal crease to make it 2-0. With the Shooting Blanks goalie J. Ciazza making some big saves through out the game including a huge breakaway stop in the second the Kings D.O'Sullivan would finally get the Kings on the board with 6:34 remaining to make it a one goal game once again. After this goal "The Quad Father" quickly held up the T sign for a Time Out that his team questioned with so much time remaining. Later on that night Mike said if given the chance he would do it again. Three minutes later the Blanks would get their two goal lead back off C. Johnson stick. As the Kings pressed with time winding down R. Conte would get loose on a break and tuck it in with a back hand for a three goal Blanks lead with just 1:48 remaining. P. Mulroy would add another with :05 left and this seasons title would go to the Shooting Blanks. After coming close to Glory twice the Shooting Blanks get the job done. Going 11-1 in the regular season, having the number one and two goal scorers on their team, losing game one of the finals to a team that won the Kings Bay Cup twice and come from behind in a series and win the title this will be a season to remember. Congratulations to the Shooting Blanks for making it happen. All final playoff team stats coming later in the day with a bunch of Shooting Blanks victory pictures and spring seasons news. 3/13 Astoria Lightning and the Shooting Blanks both force a game three! The Kings Bay Cup was in attendance last night but it wasn't raised in glory as Astoria and the Blanks who were down a game came out to play in game two. The A Elite finals opened up in a chess match like atmosphere with both teams trapping and being cautious with the puck but Astoria's J. Brennan would strike late in the first to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead going into period two. Period two came and would see Astoria get very serious and explode. Hitting the back of the net five times in the second, R. Alibrandi connected for a trick and his Lightning took a 6-1 lead into the third. N. Dimoulas would add his second of the night on a breakaway in the final session and this series is tied at one game a piece. The Lighting are now one game away from winning their forth Cup in the Bay or Losing their first. Game three will be a good one with both teams eager to play the final game of the season, stayed tuned as a date will be set soon. The Shooting Blanks breathe life in game two to force a game three. After a quiet game one the BIG B scoring champ R. Conte would get his Blanks on the board in the first and M. Spiteri would follow to give their team a 2-0 lead going into the second. Period two would go scoreless and in a game that looked like it was all the Blanks the Kings R. McGrath would make it a one goal game with only 5:42 remaining in the third. But just thirty five ticks later the S. Blanks C. Johnson would become the answer man as he blazed one home to get his team their two goal lead back. The Blanks would add an empty net goal take a 4-1 win and anxiously await the drop of the puck in game three. There will be two game three's in the Bay with everything on the line with all teams in a all or nothing situation. Kings Bay Hockey continues next week, schedules will be posted shortly. (A Elite and BIG B Playoff tree. )

3/11 More rain earlier in the day today leaves us with a damped out rink. We'll try again next week to finnish up the draft league as we look forward to tomorrow night as we have Game two in the best of three series of the the A Elite and BIG B Finals. Will the Kings Bay Cup get raised tomorrow night or will the teams down a game force a game three? These questions will be answered tomorrow night in the Bay, stay tuned.

3/10 More bad weather and tonight's a bust. We rescheduled the game for this Thursday night at 8:30 with the BIG B game 2 Finals getting pushed back to 9:30.

3/8 Week 23 Schedules posted Game 2 of Finals.

3/2 We'll have to hold off another week with all the snow that hit us today and we'll resume the finals next week.

2/27 The Kings take game one of the BIG B Finals while handing the number one seeded team their first loss in thirteen games. After a goalie battle in the first with no goals scored the Kings got on the board first in the second off of Mikey Byrnes stick for a 1-0 lead. The Shooting Blanks M. Spiteri would connect four minutes later to tie this one up and get the blanks on the board. But with time running down in the second M. DiCicco took blast from the point that went wide with the puck coming off the boards right on to R. McGrath stick as he tucked it home on the empty side to give the Kings their one goal lead back as the period would end with the Kings up a goal. Period three came and it would be a wild one. The always hungry Kings wanted more and got it with just 6:20 remaining as M. DiCicco would bang home his first of the night to give the Kings a two goal lead. The team that won thirteen straight refused to roll over and the S. Blanks C. Johnson got one back exactly one minute later and it took only another 1:07 ticks for C. Brady to get this one all tied up at three with the clock reading 4:13. As Game one looked like we would see over time the Kings forced a costly turn over deep inside the Blanks zone and no one other then "The Quad Father" would jump on the loose puck and slide it home giving the Kings a 4-3 edge with just 1:18 remaining. The Blanks tried to press for the equalizer put the Kings tightened up on dee and that's the way this one would end with the Kings taking that 1-0 lead in the best of three series and are now only one game away from their third Kings Bay title. The last time the Shooting Blanks lost a game they won thirteen straight but the Kings are all about playoff hockey. If anyone can do it it's the young skill full Blanks as it will be a tuff task to conquer against the older, wiser veteran Kings. It remains to been seen Game two next Tuesday night 10:00PM in no other place then the Bay.

2/26 Dragons take Game one of the Draft League Finals in Dramatic fashion! Period one would see a barrage of shots from the Dragons but Dragons M. DelleCamelie would finally break on through the R. Halasey wall at the 1:46 mark of the first to a take a 1-0 lead. With time running out in the first M. DelleCamelie also know as "F" would press for more and get it giving his Dragons a two goal lead with just eleven seconds left as period one would finally come to an end. With period one belonging all to the Dragons period two would be all BMW's. BMW's E. DeMaio would hit P. Rykala in front of the goal at the 10:04 mark to get his team on the score board and cut the Dragons lead in half. Just three minutes later R. Zurarwski would throw a beautiful pass from behind the net to hit team captain R. McBride charging in from the point and he sailed it home to knot this game up at two. Period two would end that way in a 2-2 battle going into third. With period three seeing a ton of scoring chances in both directions and both goalies coming big this game was up for grabs. With time winding down under a minute to go the Dragons would get an three on one odd man rush as team captain C. Sbrigato would bring the puck in deep slide the puck across to M. DelleCamelie and he blazed a wrist shot hitting all mesh finishing off his hat-trick and taking the game one winner. That mysterious letter "F" DelleCamelie's nick name that no one knew what it stood for, we now know what it stands for. "FIRE POWER" as "F" accounted for all the Dragons offense last night and took the game in his own hands getting the nod for number one star on the night. The top seeded Dragons are now one game away from the inaugural four on four Draft League Cup. Can BMW force a game three or will the Dragons come up big again in game two?

2/25 The Bull Dogs take bite out of Game one in the A Elite Finals. The Bull Dogs lead the A Elite Finals one game to none and are only one game away from their first Kings Bay Cup title. As the two teams traded goals in the first, Astoria would quickly jump out to a two goal lead on two Blazer's off of K. Meilak stick for a 3-1 lead. But the Bull Dogs would get back into this one in a hurry striking at the the 5:37 mark and again at 2:58 as C. Stracuzzi pulled off some sick moves to knot this game up at three. With just under a minute to go in the second N. Dimoulas would get the momentum back in Astoria's direction on his second of the night and take a one goal 4-3 lead into the third. But as the third period came the momentum shift would change once again. For all that don't know the man's picture is below. A Elite scoring champ and third period hat-trick scorer in Game one of the A Elite Finals totaling four goals on the night Bull Dogs star A. Salvo now know as the finisher. Connecting at 8:38 to tie 4:32 for the lead and broke free for a breakaway with just 1:24 as Astoria pressed for the tying goal he buried a backhand for a 6-4 lead and a game one Bull Dog win. Astoria faces an elimination game for only the second time, but this hill will be higher to climb because with a win in game two they will also face an elimination game in game three. The team that holds the longest streak in the Bay will need a streak of two to keep what they currently own. The Bay has seen eleven championship teams with only one team coming back from a 0-1 deficit, five of those teams forced a game three and lost with the other five teams winning two games to none. Game two kicks off 9:00 PM next Tuesday night in the Bay.

2/24 Kings get to the BIG B Kings Bay finals once again! With two Kings Bay Cups to show off the Kings reach the finals for their third time in four seasons. In a continued game that was held up by rain we picked up where we left off with 9:32 left in the second period and the Kings up by two. Just two minutes into play the Kings would extend their lead by three on a C. Pomarico goal that he banged home in front of the goal keep to get his team moving. But just :45 seconds later Gerritsen Beach would get on the score board on a pass from behind the net that M. Daskalakis sailed in to get the Beach back within two. Another forty seconds later Gerritsen would get within one on a beautiful move C. Brown pulled off from the outside pulled inside and slid passed the goal crease, we had a one goal game going into the final session. As the Kings past proved their a strong third period team this game was no different. With just 6:17 to go R. McGrath turned up the speed was pushed to the outside and with little to no room left he managed to roof a beautiful backhand in the upper right corner to give the Kings their two goal lead back. C. Pomarico would ruin any chance of a come back as he bagged his second of the night and helped seal the deal for the Kings going off to the finals once again. The BIG B FINALS kicks off this Thursday night at 9:15 PM it's the Shooting Blanks and the Kings, two teams one cup one winner. (A Elite and BIG B Playoff tree. )

2/17 Astoria Lightning and the Bull Dogs will meet again in the A Elite Finals! For the second straight season the Astoria Lightning and the Bull Dogs will meet for the Kings Bay Cup. We saw two close games going into period three with both finalists putting up three goals each in the third to move onto the next and final round. Astoria and the Bombers were dead locked at two going into period three, but just forty nine seconds into the third N. Dimoulas would Finnish off his hat-trick as he scored Astoria's first three goals of the game with the third one proving to be the game winner. R. Alibrandi would put the Lightning up by two and N. Dimoulas would get his forth of the night on the empty netter getting his Lightning into the finals for their forth straight time in as many tries. With three Kings Bay Cups under their belt they will shoot for four against a hungry Bull Dog team. Kings Bay scoring champ A. Salvo would connect on the first two goals of the game for the Bull Dogs and C. Stracuzzi would put the Bull Dogs up by two on a play that saw A. Manno make a diving sprawling save while his team picked it up, shot back the other way, put it home and left the period up by two. Bull Dogs McGregor would tally three times in the third for the trick and seal it up for a second straight Bull Dogs finals appearance. It's the Lightning and the Bull Dogs for the Kings Bay A Elite Championship. The Best of three series will kick off next week. (A Elite and BIG B Playoff tree. )

They await the winner of Wednesday nights game between the number two seeded Gerritsen Beach and the number three seeded Kings. With a one goal against average in their first two playoff matches these guys will be tuff to beat. The Kings or Gerritsen will have their hands full in the finals but in four finals matches the Blanks have yet to win a game. Losing in both of their finals appearances two games to none making them 0-4 in the Kings Bay Finals. This seasons opponent will be either a veteran Kings team with two cups under their belts with a 4-1 record in finals games or an up and coming Gerritsen Beach team who could be making their first appearance in the big series. 1/9 Shooting Blanks and Gerritsen Beach keep pace for the number one seed, Kings come behind again and the Reapers grab a much needed win. Shooting Blanks win their ninth straight behind C. Johnson and M. Spiteri's two goal nights. The Blanks control their own destiny for the top seed but have to tuff games remaining against the Kings and Gerritsen Beach. Gerritsen Beach keeps pace coming out on fire in the first taking a commanding win with C. Hardy, T. Voto and S. Brown all connecting for a hat-trick each. With that win it sets up a battle between the one and two seeds next Thursday. Gerritsen will need a little help from the Kings to beat the Shooting Blanks on Wednesday or the Blanks should take the division even if Gerritsen beats the Shooting Blanks on the last game of the season because the tie breakers all fall in favor of the Shooting Blanks. Marine Park would open up a three goal lead on the Kings but the never say die Kings would score two late goals by end of the second, tie it five minutes into the third and get the game winner with just 2:39 remaining. When these two teams go at it it's always a good one. Kings got scoring from four different skaters in the win with J.Gargiulo getting the game winner. Reapers come up victorious behind J. Jensen's three and E. Demaio's two moving the team to .500 and the number five seed in the standings. Don't let the Reapers .500 record fool you when their whole teams in tact they could be a scary bunch come playoff time. As we move into week 15, position week is upon us and round one playoff matches will be said by week's end. Stay tuned for the latest, standings have been updated with all other updates coming later in the day.
