2/1 Bay Brewery Don't even understand a word called Die! Push the Draft League Finals to the Limit! The First text that came through earlier in the day read "I Guarantee a Win Tonight" the words came from Alex Morozov's mouth and we can name call him Mark Morozov. He would put up three assists in a game he couldn't wait to play coming off his ailing foot injury that is just starting to feel better. But this was a game of all game's a battle of all battles and the Dragons would come out the gate flying putting up a two goal lead just under three minutes into play. But the Bay Brewery kept their composure and would get a timely goal from their second line to set off a spark. Period one would end 2-1 Dragons. One man made the prediction and then the other man would begin his stellar night in the Bay in the second session. Bobby Munday would get loose on a break and with two back checking defensemen all over his back with the referee's arms raised for the call would still manage to slide the tying goal home for a two two dead lock that would take us into period three. With the Bay Brew pinned in their own zone relentlessly trying to clear the puck would come up short and Bobby Kasims would come out the corner and snipe for a 3-2 Dragons lead with 9:40 to go. More Dragons pressure and a Manno save a Morozov blast the other way a save and a rebound landing on Munday's stick for a 3-3 tie. Less than twenty two ticks later a Dimitri Koytalar blast would but the Dragons back on top again with a 4-3 lead with 5:14 to play. Time winding down Morozov and Munday come down two on one Alex hit's Bobby for a one timer and we are tied again at four. Bay Brew controls the play off the face off puck is deep Morozov finds Munday at the point, he holds, fakes slap shot, throws the puck towards the Dragons goal deflects off the bodies in front and the yellow biscuit some how finds the back of the net for a 5-4 Bay Brew lead with 2:18 to go. Reliving the moment from the game to the blog my fingers feel flush. The longest one hundred and thirty eight seconds in the Bay Brewery season would begin on the heels in their own zone that would finally come to an end and a call for another Hockey game. One more game! One more game will decide the Draft League Champions.

1/27 Final Draft Schedule Posted. All stats updated. The New Season Out look and meetings will be posted shortly.

1/25 Dragons Control, take Game One of the Draft League Finals! Although the Dragons controlled most of the play in the opener of the Draft league Finals the game would be decided with under four minutes of play in regulation. Dimitri Koylatar would get loose on a breakaway and mail it in making a one goal game a two goal lead that would put the game out of reach. Dema would add another for a 4-1 stretch with under two minutes to play sealing the deal for a game one victory. Bobby Kasimis got the Dragons out the gate running with a nifty back hand roof top from behind the net and later scored again on a wobbler from the point. Bob Munday would make it a 2-1 game with a late goal deep into the second taking us into the third in the one goal battle. Anthony Manno was Anthony Manno in this one keeping the Bay Brew in the contest turning aside the pepper spray as on the other side of the rink Stevie Balsan made a few key saves at the right time including a partial breakaway when the score was still 2-1. The guy folks, Charles Sbrigato all he does is know how to pick winning squads and he is one game away from his fifth Draft League title out of eight. That is absolutely crazy! Can you utter any other word but DYNASTY? No you Can't, one more win will get him just that.

1/22 Draft Finals Schedule updated below. After last weeks rain outs we'll take another crack at it again this week.

1/13/12 BQE and Gerritsen Beach Champions Photos Added! All pages updated including Final BIG B, LB playoff stats added the playoff tree.

1/12/12 Draft Finals on Hold, Rained Out! Full final stats for the LB and BB Playoffs coming over the weekend.

1/11/12 The Thriller in Baynilla! Gerritsen Beach Lift Lord Kings Bay High in a Overtime Gem, BQE finish the March make the Glory Raise and the Bay Brewery set a date in the Draft League Finals with an OT ouch! Late Edition The Recap: Gerritsen Beach captain James Esposito would end the LB seasonal finale in Over Time off a redirected shot from the point that landed on his stick as he banged it on through bringing home the Cup to Gerritsen town. The Game three deciding game was everything you could ask for in a Final match for everything as Marine Park put up the good fight tying the game at three with just :36 left in regulation with their net empty. But ever since late in the third period of Game One Gerritsen Beach brought the game to the table putting up a flurry of goals with their true grit, hustle, working the corners and capitalizing on their opponents mistakes. Backed by a quick defense and Rob Molina's work between the pipes this Gerriten Beach squad always brought the battle to the Bay. A long season has come to an end and a series I'll never forget, helmets off the Park boys who played a hell of a series and a great playoff run. No Stop Signs.... or Speed Limits on this BQE ride. It would be hard to mention one man on this team as the hero of the game or season as this team was so deep and had so many weapons they defined the word team sport. BQE tried to figure out the Kings goal keep though one as they kept bringing the heat in periods two and three as they built their lead and kept it eventually raising the shinny silverware in the end. In last night's game usually the set up man Louie Montello decided to show off his shooting ability's as he hit the back of the net four times and added an assist. Goalie Spiro Gialopsos was stingy though out his playoff quest as last night's game would be no different, he only let in one. The Kasimis Brothers were every where on the rink and didn't even manage to argue with each other while Bryan Ammirati, Mike Gambino and John Vlaovich were solid as they were all season long with their heart and hustle. CO Captain Thomas Galligan brought the fire and heat gun in his three playoff games putting up twelve points coming close the all time record of fifteen, a scoring machine. Brooklyn Queens Expressway BIG B Champions of the Bay. Facing adversity in their long awaited playoff match with their number one pick out with a broken foot the Bay Brewery quickly dug themselves a 0-4 hole to climb out of. A late second period goal would get the the pulse and heart start beating again. Two third period goals from Ilya Poldskiy and a Sal Miccio equalizer would send this bad boy into an extra session. Before we go any further on about this game the Bay Brewery would not of made it thus far if not for the work of their goal keep Anthony Manno. Point blank blasts, sprawling saves and his quick glove was the reason this game needed an extra session as the winner would get into the DRAFT LEAGUE FINALS. So many Chances both ways in the Overtime session but Sal Miccio again folks would bang home the game winner from a corner pass sending the Bay Brewery into the Draft League Finals. Defending Champion Zorros captain sent vicious texts about the officiating in the game as he was fined 30,000 sandwiches for his harsh words. If the Bay Brewery thought this game was tuff without their number one pick the task will be much taller against the four time champion Dragons squad who hasn't lost a game in regulation all season long. The draft Saga Continues tomorrow night in the Bay.

1/11 The Champs wouldn't leave folks it is now 2:20 AM with work in just a few short hours, the full story of the craziness coming your way much later in day that will make you dance wet your pants sing your favorite song so don't forget to log back on. Mark Jan. 10th Dear Old Dads Birthday R.I.P., miss you too much and one of the sickest nights ever in the Bay! See you later with the full recap, come on now!

1/7 Playoff Schedules Posted Below! The Cup will be lifted by someone this week!

1/4 All Pages Updated! Next Week's Schedule to be posted Shortly.

1/4 Gerritsen Beach get Bitter Cold even the LB Finals, BQE take Game One of the BB Finals, Dragons shake off the Rust and Rush to the Draft League Finals as the Zorros pull back the towel and Win! The LB Finals will be pushed to the brink as Gerritsen Beach brought the cold. A Step ahead in this one all night they would pull away in the third for a 5-2 win. Kevin Cooper netted two goals in the W as this bout will go the distance. Brace yourself for a game three cold war winner take all finale. Great opening to the BB Finals as the game was dead locked at one deep into the second as Bobby Kasimis would break the 1-1 tie with under two minutes to play in the second session. BQE would step up their stride in the third as Thomas Galligan and Lou Montello would ring up a goal point each for a 4-1 BQE winner. BQE are now just one win away from a title in their first season together as a squad. Even though many of the guys played in the Bay for a while their are a lot of first timers here ready to make the Cup lift for their first time. But, there is still a game to win. Dragons haven't played in a while but they didn't forget how to score. After a 2-0 hole team Captain Charlie Sbrigato and Julian Prine would get their team off the snide with two late fist period goals to even the game at two. Another split of two apiece in the second as Charile's first two round picks would come on through in the third, Kasimis and Koylatar would put the Dragons up 6-4 as this is the way this one would end sending the Dragons to the Draft League Finals once again. It's too cold to play, my goalie can't make it, I ate to much for lunch, Blah Blah Blah, excuses excuses. But one thing the Zorros head honcho didn't realize he has a man on his team that everyone knows and he goes by the name of Squiggy. Squiggy doesn't understand the word forfeit and it's not in his vocabulary. Squiggy plays defense and when asked to suit up between the pipes he didn't hesitate to answer "Let's Play". Squig Roc would go on to play a hell of a game between the pipes making many key saves on the night even using his helmet to make a stop as Mike Gambino and Paul Schrifo would apply all the offense squiggy would need the rest of the way. Zorros Win move on into the Draft League Semi-Finals against the idle Bay Brewery. Next time you see the man Squiggy in the Bay tip you cap or helmet to the man.

12/29 Skates and Glass Slippers Every Where! Marine Park will participate in the LB FINALS! After winning only two games in the regular season, Marine Park has matched their win total in the post season. The two post season wins get them a ticket into the LB Finals against the idle Gerritsen Beach who awaited the winner of last night's play. Enter Marine Park Stallion Matt Galliao. After the Park would be down a 1-0 margin Matt would slide home the tying goal from a sharp angle to even the score at one, the way the first period of play would end. After a deep dead lock into period two an unlikely man would make a career play. Going end to end through traffic Rob Mazzuchin would bury the go ahead goal for a 2-1 lead. A power play chance and Matt again from the point position would release the cannon hitting his target for a 3-1 game with less than a minute to go in period two taking us into the final fifteen. A third period tally from Morozov and Matthew Galliano who put up back to back tricks in his two playoff games would get the fifth seed out of five into the LB Finals. WOW! Marine Park goalie Chirs Falco put up a stella performance between the pipes making the big saves when he had too while rubbing off a stick to the eye after the game from one of his own teamates. The two residing neighborhoods Marine Park and Gerritsen Beach will go at it tonight in Game One in the best of three series of the LB Finale! Can you feel it? Four playoff action filled Hockey games will take place tonight in the Bay! Who's Ready? You Ready? I'm Ready! Let's Go!

12/26 Playoff Scheudlue Posted.

12/23 BROOKLYN QUEENS EXPRESSWAY Bum Rush the Show! March on into the BIG B Finals! If you touched the man your hand would of burned. Hitting the back of the net six times for a double trick in a do or die game Thomas Galligan demanded a win. After a one one knot after one, the storm would hit in period two as BQE brought the bang. Posting up six goals for a 7-1 lead heading into the final fifteen. Astoria would get two quick goals in the third and go on the power play, but the margin would be too deep to over come as the BQE squad would put up another two and move right on into the BIG B Finals. They await the winner of the Bergen Beach Kings match to see who they will face for all the marbles. Updated schedule posted shortly as well as playoff stats and more. Every one have a Happy and Healthy holiday season!

12/20 WTF? Rain out of no where Cancels playoff Hockey in the Bay! Remainder of schedule for the rest of week reposted.

12/17 Playoff schedules posted! One regular season game finish up left in the BB. All other games are Playoff Hockey. All Pages have been updated.

12/15 Gerritsen Beach charge into the LB Finals, Marine Park shock the Bay and a Father and Son Win! After withstanding Speed, hustle, determination and a one goal deficit Gerritsen Beach would getty up back into this semifinal face off. Feeding off their pipe man's work Robert Molina who finished with a 1.48 regular season Goals Against Average would continue his wall like dominating season only letting by one stopping puck after puck as Chris Ryan would even the game at one with 3:30 left in the second. Matt Dilberti would would slide in the go ahead goal just two minutes later for a 2-1 Gerritsen Beach lead heading into the final session. The struggle would continue in the third as Gerritsen team Captain James Espositio would give his Beach buddies a two goal lead with under five minutes to play. Five minutes passed and Gerritsen Beach would head to their second ever Kings Bay Cup Finals appearance. Another crazy playoff game would persist in the NOMAAM Marine Park bout. A pure battle went on for the right to face Old School in a Semifinal match as period one would end tied at two. Marine Park would build a two goal lead in period two for a 5-3 game after deuce. But then it would soon be NOMAAM's Mike Gambino time. He would tally at the ten minute mark to get within one and then again with six minutes to go for a five five knot. Marine Park would regain the lead on Matt Galliao's third of the night with just two minutes to go, nail in the coffin? No! Off the face-off circle with 13.1 to go it would be Gambino again folks with 9.6 that would soon end regulation in a 6-6 tie. Chances Chances but nothing doing in the first OT session so we went to period five. Nine minutes and forty three seconds later of the fifth the Marine Park one two punch would strike again. A Galliao feed to the Russian Rocket Mr. Alex Morozov would go top shelf and end the great battle. The duo both put up a trick each in the win as Marine Park head to the LB Semifinals against the number one seeded nine and one Old School. Helmets off to Billy Fox of NOMAAM and Park goalie C. Falco for their work between the steel making this game go all night long. Dad stops the pucks! Son Scores a goal! A first in the Bay as Dad Scott Adelle okayed son Tyler to play for his short benched CRC squad and game was on. After Tyler would assist on the second goal of the night his underage moment of fame would come just a few minutes later as he would bang home a Thomas Gallagan feed raising his arms in glory. That would make it a 4-0 game but a memory that will last a life time for the two. Breaking Bad would get back into this one with three straight goals for a one goal game but the Adelle's and CRC would lock down the rest of the way for 5-3 win. Way to go Fam! Bay Brewery takes a forfeit win and gets the second seed in the draft division. So all Draft playoff matches are now set in stone. Breaking Bad will see the Zorros and the Hansons will face CRC as the Dragons and Bay Brewery await the winners. Great night of playoff Hockey in the Bay! All other pages will be updated shortly.

12/10 Week 16 Schedule Posted.

12/9 Bergen Beach Clinch the BIG B, Astoria in a Shoot-Out and Old School come out on top! It went down to the final game of the season but Bergen Beach took over first place and it would all be decided by the goals differential. Both BQE and Bergen Beach finished with identical records and split their season series. With their thirteen goal outburst Bergen Beach were able to over take the plus minus column and clinch their third straight divisional top seed honors. In the win Dan Balsamo would have a six point night with a trick and three assists putting him in the lead in the scoring race. Rob Alibrandi put up two points in his game so he trails Dan by four points with a game in hand. BQE would come up with three third period goals to even the score at three but Astoria's goalie George Athanasiadis would control the shoot-out letting in none as Joe Barker's tally was good for the game winner. In one goal games this team has been perfect all season going 5-0, with their latest one goal win Old School improve to 9-1 on the season and are ready for playoff hockey. Scoring power came from from E. Perepada, Paul Sciarraffo, Ilya Podolskiy and B. Munday. Munday's goal broke the 3-3 tie and held up to be the game winner. Almost there! Four more Hockey games to go and we made it to the playoffs. Playoff games will be scheduled next week. Stay tuned in, all pages have been updated.

12/8 Tonights schedule posted below, same as tuesday night's rain out. Last two night's you knew the drill. 12/4 Week 15 Schedules posted Below.

12/2 NOMAAM open the can in the third, Old School pull it out again, Astoria Glow and BQE regain the number on seed! NOMAAN controlled most of the play but would only hold a 2-1 lead going into the final session. That would all change quickly as the wheels kept on turning and the back of the net would be found numerous times in the final fifteen. NOMAAM Forward Bryan Ammirati led the charge with the trick as he and the puck had a good relationship all night finding each other on the nail in the coffin and the finish on the trick. Old School would trail 2-1 deep into the third but these veterans have been getting the job done all season long and last night would be no different as Bob Munday would even things up with 1:59 remaining and Michael Byrnes feet would hurt but wouldn't stop him from slamming the game winner home just fifty two seconds later as the squad says clinch. Clinch the division title that is, a first round bye in the playoffs as they await the winner of the NOMAAM Marine Park first round playoff bout. Astoria moved that puck like they know how finishing off their touches in their seven goal frenzy. Nick Carpanini was all smiles with his trick of the trade as Rob Alibrandi played the set up man with a hat full of assists, Knightling cruise to a 7-1 triumph. BQE trailed 2-1 in the third but then not Bobby but Spiro Kasimis would get loose. Evening things up at two with 9:40 remaining he would strike again at 5:35 for the go ahead goal. A 3 on 0 tally and a empty netter would seal the deal as BQE demand the number one seed in the BIG B! We approach the final week of the season, playoff hockey is near! All pages have been updated. Week 15 Schedules will be posted Shortly.

12/1 And then the Rain Cleared...... Great night of Hockey in the Bay with all four games being decided by a goal! Hansons, Gerritsen Beach, Zorros and Jugganauts Win! Hansons and Bay Brew set the night off in a back and forth low scoring affair for Draft play and a game would be on. James Esposito would fight for his rebound on a fast break sliding home the game winner with just 2:10 remaining in the 3-2 win. The second seed is at steak for the two teams and they still have another game to play each other, the last game of the season. The winner will get second place and a first round bye in the playoffs. Hetzler said forfeit but the Zorros said no Jesse the show must go on and the show did go on into the shoot-out against the first place Dragons. Mike Gambino would pull it off with too many dekes a tap in and a wow for the game winner. Dragons done clinched the division finishing off the season without a loss in regulation going 8-0-2 while putting up the third best regular season ever in draft. Dragons did get the nod for fewest goals against with 32 beating BMW's record of 35 thanks to their pipe masters work Steven Balsan locking down his third G.A.A. title with a 3.20 G.A.A. the new all-time Draft League record, not bad for a last round goalie pick. Who was sleeping on draft day? Speaking of Goalies Gerritsen Beach netminder Robert Molina locks down the LB Goalie G.A.A title with a 1.48 also setting a new record beating the old one held by Mike Goucher with a 1.67 in season one of the LB. Molina goes 6-0 on the season as Gerritsen Beach would get scoring power from Cooper and Espo in the 2-1 win. If you blinked an eye you missed a great play in last nights finale when Bergen Beach and Jugganauts went toe to toe. Both teams would trade goals back and forth through the six total scored in regulation as we would try to finish this one with an extra five. No 4 on 4 tallies so a shoot out would be the only way to award the winner. Jugganauts would put the win up on the top shelf in round four of the shooter vs goalie conclusion for a 4-3 victor, really..... What a sick game! Honorable Mention: SPIRO Does it Again! Spiro Gialopsos does it again! After doing his regular duties as a Hanson and Black N Blue member, Spiro filled between the pipes for the Zorros and Bergen Beach. Both his fill in rolls went to shoot outs as he took a split decision as he did the same in his regular roll position in two one goal games. Great work Gialposos! All pages have been updated, stats, standings and all that! I'll see some of you tonight!

11/15 RAIN OUT....11/12 Week 12 Schedules Posted Below!

11/11 All pages updated, Week 12 readjusted schedules will be posted shortly. Please don't go by the schedules page for Week 12.

11/11 BQE Take Over First, Heart of a Dragon and the Come from behind Bay Brew! The two top seeds collided in a BIG B Battle as first place would be on the line. The Michael Gambino and Thomas Galligan show would soon unfold. The duo hooked up for four of the teams five goals and skated away with a 5-3 win. Both teams now stand at 6-2 and split the season series one game a piece but BQE hold the +/- by a slim +1 with two games to play. Dragons were with out their number one most of the game and stepped up their play in a back and forth confrontation. After trailing 2-0 the Dragons would storm back for four goals only to see the game get tied right back up with 7:38 to play. Dragons Dimitri Koylatar would refuse to put his team in the L column as he sailed home the game winner for another Dragon win. The Bay Brew would trail 6-3 with under two minutes to play in the second period but the league leading gaol scorer just wouldn't have it anymore. Bob Munday would connect three times in the final 1:45 of the second period for a new Hockey game going into the final period. The Brew kept the momentum up winning the third 3-0 taking a 9-6 win. An R. McGrath snipe, a Dan O'Sullivan highlight reel tally and a Jimmy Gargiulo connect put the Kings up 3-0, then the rain came to cancel us out. To be continued. All pages will be updated shortly. Stats from the first game and BIG B Standings updated.

11/9 Moist Out.... Moisture in the air left a stream of wet a long side the boards, Games Canceled.

11/9 Gerritsen Beach Avenge and Hansons pull away in the third! You just can't ever predict what's going to happen week to week in the LB. Last week NOMAAM handed an ousting to Gerritsen while this week Gerritsen Beach clamped down lead by league leading goaltender Rob Molina posting the shutout and shinning his 1.60 G.A.A.. Not to mention the Beach of Gerritsen has not lost a game this season with Rob between the pipes as he stands with a 5-0 record. Kevin Cooper and James Esposito provided the goal scoring for Gerritsen Beach in the 2-0 winner. Hansons and Zorros would be involved in a 3-2 game going in the third segment but the beast Andrew Manson would get stronger as the game went on. Scoring goal numbers three and four in the third period the Hansons skated away with the 5-3 win. Hansons Ian Stachel would record an assist in the win. All pages have been updated!

11/5 All stats Updated, Week 11 and 12 posted the final two weeks before the playoffs pending weather! Week 11 can be viewed below.

11/4 NOMAAM start a new streak, BQE stroll, Breaking Bad thrive and Astoria put a halt to the skid! NOMAAM string together their second straight victory with another goal scoring out burst! Last night they would put up another eight adding up the nineteen goals in two games. In the squads first six games they put up a total of ten goals, last two nineteen, talk about a turn around. Last night Bryan Ammirati & Gambino would net tricks as Ed DeMaio and Matt Carlton would light for a goal each too. BQE controlled the tempo all night long delivering a pair of pucks for points in each period of play for a six goal outing. Lou Montello and George Konstandinidis put two each in their opponents house in the 6-1 glide. Breaking Bad dug themselves a three goal hole but would slowly inch back into the game. Making it a two goal game by period two's end they would hit the back of the bag with three consecutive third period goals to take the lead. But the game wouldn't be over just yet with a Zorro empty net for the extra attacker Mike Gambino was able to succeed. Knotting the game at six after the final horn we went straight to the shoot-out. Newly acquired Pat Mead would make it happen again for Breaking Bad the only one to tally in the Shoot Out gaining grasp on the win. After three straight overtime losses Astoria Knightling said no more! Feeding off their pipe masters work, Geroge (Long last name) Athanasiadis shut the door for the donut while J. Dimoluas, Alibrandi, Fergeson and Verde barreled through the red steel for a 4-0 win. Most Honorable Mention of the night goes to Goalie Chris Falco of Marine Park (BB) and Breaking Bad as he was peppered all night long in his first bout coming up with dazzling saves after save after save he continued his fine work in his draft match while stopping all three of his shooters in the shoot-out, way to go Chrissy! All team standings updated, Week 11 Schedule and the rest of this weeks stats will be posted over the weekend.

11/3 NOMAAM burst out of the Hangover, Old School keep the high roll on, Hansons and Zorros shine! A Kings Bay Cup hangover no more! After losing six straight with one of those in overtime NOMAAM make this one stick with an eleven goal out burst. On the attack all night long seven different skaters would hit the back of the net with Michael Gambino leading the serge with four and Matt Carlton with two. After being in every game this season with out posting the win it would be no surprise if this team makes it back to the finals again. Old School just keep getting the job done, going strong with a seven and one record, last night it would be league scoring leader Bob Munday breaking the 4-4 tie at the 10:50 mark of the third then adding the empty netter securing victory. After Jesse "Keys" Hetzler would place home the first Zorros goal in the basket it would be the return of the "F" man! Zorros Matt "F" Dellicamille would twist the rabbit out the hat as the crowd would be quick to applauded his trick, Zorros 6-2 final. After a scoreless first, Cool Runnings Crew and Hansons would trade goals in the second setting the stage for a great final period. But Andrew Manson would be uncontainable once again scoring goals two and three and said Happy belated Halloween for the trick as Hanson goalie Spiro Gaspolapogus kept everything behind his crease line empty in that final sesson just letting in that lone goal in P2 for a 3-1 Hansons win. All Standings pages updated, everything else shorlty.

11/2 Dragons Control their own Fate, Gerritsen Beach muscle it out and Bergen Beach keep the move on! Dragons and Bay Brew the Draft Leagues top two seeds went at it and a game would be on. With the Dragons controlling most of the play the score board would shine a two two dead lock going into the third that would prove to be a wild finish. With the Dragons gaining a 3-2 lead with 6:16 remaining the Bay Brew would strike at 2:45 to even things up at three and take the lead with 1:15 remaining. But a team that's been showing Dominance and fight all season long wouldn't be handed their first loss of the season in regulation just yet. Dragons Dimitri Koylatar would even the score at four with 20.9 tics left that would send us to the shoot out and a hard point earned for both squads. The Bay Brew would tie the shoot out twice facing loss but it would be Jason Budha number 9 with a fake right fake left and a back hand for the tally and a roar getting the job done for the Dragons adding up to yet another win. Gerritsen Beach and Black N Blue played struggle for space hockey all night long and the score board showed it with a 0-0 tie going into the final fifteen. Gerritsen's K. Cooper would be the first to strike gold mesh and a 1-0 edge as five minutes later it would Matt Dilberti's turn giving the Beach some breathing room while fill in Goalie Stevie Balsan would call it mission complete with the donut and a Gerritsen victory. After a Week 1 loss Bergen Beach haven't lost since. Posting six straight wins last night would see Femiano, Munday, Schector and D. Balsamo finding the back of the net in a 4-2 win keeping the streak alive as the defending champs as usual remain deep looking down from the top of the BIG B. Most Honorable Mention of the night goes to Big Heart Balsan after pulling off the shoot out win in his Dragons game, filled in for Gerritsen putting up a shut out and doing his regular duties as a King. The guy would go four periods and 1:32 with out a goal against, Hell of a job kid! All Stats are Updated, yes last night too!

10/29 All Pages Updated, Week 10 Posted Below.

10/27 Rain Out.

10/27 CRC Recharge, Dragons avenge, Bergen Beach put the Power in their Play and Gerritsen Beach come heavy in the third! CRC finally came equipped with their full squad and trade in and the squad showed what their capable of. Thomas Galligan and Cory Johnson worked well together in their first game together and combined on three of the teams goals while Scotty Adelle held down the bay as the back bone stopping everything in his path. Scott becomes a part of an elite group becoming the third goalie all-time recording a shutout in draft play. Dragons bounced back quick after a shoot out loss last week and brought the guns. Bob Kasimis lead the charge with a four goal out burst as the full Dragon heat was good for nine. Bergen Beach continued their assault from last night's play putting up four in the first while cruising to a six three win. Frankie Balsamo remains hot putting up a trick and an assist for a four point night adding up to nine points in two days, ouch put the hurt down! Gerritsen Beach and Marine Park were deadlocked at one going into the final session as the Park would grab a 2-1 lead four minutes in. But when it was all said and done E. McGrath, James Esposito, K. Cooper and Sean Mescill would have their say all connecting in the third for a 5-2 Gerritsen Beach win. All Standings updated with complete draft stats done. Tonight looks doubtful with rain rain in the forecast, but hey you never know. This Tuesday night will be scheduled again. All other stats will be updated shortly.

10/26 Juggernauts go Deep in the Shoot-out, Bergen Beach Clobber, Black N Blue in a tight one and the Bay Brewery don't let it get away! The Juggernauts came through and built a 2-0 lead only to see Astoria come back with two of their own for a 2-2 dead lock as the regulation buzzer would sound. The extra overtime session wouldn't be enough either so we went one on one, players Vs goal keeps. Seven rounds were called upon as G. Post would shine only letting one slide past his pipes in the 3-2 Jugga winner. Frankie Balsamo brought his whip and the Bergen Beach onslaught was on. Frank would put four to mesh while dishing off one as Bergen Beach called it an early night and was able to make it home for a late dinner. After two scoreless periods of Hockey in the Black N Blue NOMAAM battle we would finally see three goals in a span of a minute and thirty seconds. The first would belong to B N B as NOMAAM would tie the game back at one just fifty tics later. But it would be John Maranda in the Blink of a Lamp light and a horn getting the goal that would hold up to be the game winner in the Black N Blue victory. In draft play Bay Brewery would try and cling to a two goal lead heading into the final session but two goal leads evaporate quickly in draft action as the Bay Brew would soon find out. Their two goal one goal lead would go back and forth all period long as Breaking Bad would tie the game up at six with just 1:43 to play. But the Bay Brew wouldn't let up just yet recapturing the lead eighteen seconds later on a Alex Morozov snipe that was good for the game winner. Bob Munday was also good in this one hitting net five times over taking the league lead in scoring in draft. Pat Mead is making scoring look easy in draft posting four goals and an assist in the loss giving him nine points in two games played. All pages will be updated shortly. Tuesday nights seem to be working out well in the Bay expect more in your near future.

10/21 Week 9 Posted Below! All Pages Updated ... Another Tuesday Night is scheduled!

10/21 Bergen Beach in a Shoot Out, Kings bring the Full Fleet, Old School hold on and Bay Brew keep pace! In Last night's Marquee match up on the evening Bergen Beach and Astoria lined up for play with Astoria building a 2-0 lead only to see Bergen Beach storm back with three unanswered goals. But with under two minutes to play Joe Barker and Rob Alibrandi would put together some nifty pass work and Barker would bury a top shelf tally to even the game at three as regulation would soon end. A scoreless overtime session and to the shoot out we went. Fill in goalie or new recruit we hear Anthony Manno for Bergen Beach shined in the Shoot Out stopping all three attempts as Danny Balsamo is just two good on one on one attempts as his red light would hold up for the game winner. Kings came prepared in last nights play with all of their big names in the lineup and after being in a 2-0 hole Walter Gilroy would show off his flash and dash posting a hat-trick in the first and a 3-2 King lead after one. With a 4-3 game going into the final session it would be Mike McGreggor's turn as he too would hit the back of net three times, Kings skate to the beat of a 7-3 win. Walt Gilory's seasonal debut with the Kings was good for a six point night, 3 and 3. Old School blitzed out of the gate just :30 seconds in on a B. Munday cannon as Mike Byrne, Paul Schrifo and Marty Shor with two would follow for a 5-0 Old School lead. The Park would get one back with :10 left in the first and show some sort of life form. Bang Bang Bang it would be the Park's turn in the second getting within two, down by three again on a turn over and Marty Shor's third of the night for the trick as the Park struck back again on Galaino's third to again get back with in two. The two goal lead would hold up until :51 tics left in regulation as Marine Park would bang one home and get within one with there net empty. But that would be all as Old School kept the puck out of their end the rest of the way for the 6-5 winner. In draft action the M & M boys Munday and Morozov would post a hat-trick each as the Bay Brew would be good for nine. The game was a two goal game heading into the final session as the Brew pulled away in the last fifteen, hat's off to the CRC crew who been hangin in all season without their top two picks, Dan Chringo and Rob Tossiro provided the fire power in the loss both netting two goals each. All pages will be worked on later in the day, expect another Tuesday Night make up this week stay fine tuned!

10/19 Rain all day nothing doing in the Bay! Standings pages updated. 10/19 Breaking Bad Breathe Back in a Shoot Out, Marine Park have a goal keep, BQE bang it out in OT and the Old School March! Breaking Bad was with out their number one man all season long and his status the rest of the way was iffy so he was replaced with a man who stepped right up to the roll of the #1 spot. Facing off against an undefeated team while making his Draft League debut Patrick Mead planted three seeds as his last good deed would be a bullet hitting the back of the net in the shoot out for the game winner handing the Dragons their first loss of the season. Let it be noted the Dragons fought hard in this one wiping out a three goal deficit also scoring two goals with under four minutes to play to get them into the extra session and a hard point earned as both goalies C. Falco and S. Balsan were great in this one. Talking about goalies BJ Florio is a solid brick wall. At time's in last night's game Marine Park's goalie looked as if he was the only Park player on the rink with cat like movements going side to side keeping the house on lock down. His team would soon feed off his play leading in this one by as much as three and skating away with a 6-4 win. In the scoring department it was the battle of the number ten's as Morozov of the Park donning number ten blasted home four as that popular number ten on the opposing side Mike Gambino of NOMAAM was good for the trick. The skating and the finesse were brought to the next level when BQE and Astoria bumped heads as the action was non stop. With many lead changes and a knot a five when the third period buzzer sounded an extra five minutes was posted on the board. Bobby Kasimis showed off his dance steps all night but his OT snipe would give BQE the win in this great battle of the BIG B's. Another long awaited match took place between Old School and Black N Blue in our Tuesday night finale in a possible LB Finals preview. The game was good ending in a 4-2 Old School win giving themselves a nice cushion on top of the heap. In the win Bob Munday was good for two goals and two assists as Mikey Byrnes and Sal Micchio were the other two OS net finders. No other pages have been updated but probably all by tonight with a ton of rain in the forecast. Don't worry no girly rain videos will be posted as I took enough heat over last week's posting.

10/13 No Luck in the Bay! After three straight days of play last week we went 0-2 this week. Expect some Tuesday nights of Hockey when full schedule is posted including next week as three nights are scheduled. In the meantime I'll leave you with a song and I know where the girl is coming from. Just put this at the end of her punch lines "WHEN YOU HAVE A KINGS BAY HOCKEY GAME".

10/12 Rain Out.... Forecast is Horrible.

10/7 Week 7 Posted Below, All Stats Updated! A couple names on the write up were wrong but edited to the correct names, if you want to reread who did what and when read the story again from last nights play.

10/7 The LB is Tight! Old School demand top seed, Black N Blue draw a Blank, Kings pull it off and the Bay Brewery bring the Storm! Old School and Gerritsen Beach collided for an early season battle for first and the game was a good one. With Old School up 2-0 midway through the second Gerritsen Beach would get within one on a Mike Dakalakas tally for a one goal game heading into the final fifteen. A great struggle in those third period minutes would see Paul Sciarraffo get Old School some breathing room and a breath deep into the third to earn early season top seed honors. Another struggle would persist in the NOMAAN Black N Blue meet as John Marando would bury a loose biscuit into the basket for a 1-0 first period Black N Blue lead. This game would not see another goal in this low scoring battle as both goalies put the clamp down but it would be Spiro Gialopsos getting the nod in the duel. After seeing a three goal first period deficit the Bay Brewery got just plain mad. Rain lightning and thunder soon came down on the rink, no wet spots but this season's M&M boys Munday and Morozov soon would get to work. Alex would nail down a trick and an assist while Bobby was good for two and two as the two were seeing eye to eye all night, Bay Brewery 6-3 win. If you like offense the last game of the night would of been the one for you to watch. Seventeen goals combined between the two teams in a one goal game. Great stuff as the Kings trailed in this one by as much as four goals but would never say die. Well they have this guy on their roster that goes by the name of McGreggor who would eventually put up five goals and an assist but his breakaway undressing with under a minute to go broke the 8-8 tie and gave Kings Victory! Attention Attention, has anyone seen McGrath or Gilroy? All Standings pages updated some stats not much, but hey we played three straight nights of hockey in the Bay! Totally Awesome! I could hardly wait for next week, all stats updated shortly promise, see you soon!

10/6 Marine Park get One, the Dragons Flame stays on High, Old School clutch and the return of the Juggaknots! Marine Park sparked off the play of their goaltenders acrobatics as BJ Florio would only let one by his goal crease with just under five minutes to play. Alex Morozov would put home two as the Park skated away with a 3-1 win, their first of the season. The Dragons continue the crush posting a 9-1 winner while staying perfect half way though. Jason Sabrina was the Dragons big man on campus last evening with a hat-trick and an assist for a four point finish. Old School and NOMAAM bumped heads again and the out come was another one goal game. By far the game of the night as Gabor Tali put home the game winner late in the first period of play as periods two and three saw no scoring at all thanks to job well done by Stevie Balsan and Billy Fox. There in there out but the Juggaknots are now back in! From head to toe this team is solid through out as the all out pepper spray was on. Posting a six spot they would only give up one adding up to back to back wins for the club. Great night of Hockey in the Bay as we'll do it again tonight. All Standings have been updated, updated stats will follow.

10/5 Black give the Blues, Hansons roll a deuce, Bergen Beach Bang and BQE Roll! The Speedy Black N Blue came from every angle last night while showing their depth. Putting up a five spot each of their goals came from a different skater. 22 of Black N Blue stole the show though setting up three of his teams tallies he was also one of the goal scorers for a four point night. Winning goaltender in the match Spiro Gialopsos. In our only draft game of the night the Hansons jumped out to a 4-0 lead only to see Breaking Bad score the next four goals for a 4-4 tie. But the Hansons wouldn't lose a stride from there scoring the next three as Andrew Manson lead the charge with a six point night. Four Goals two assists having something to do with six of his teams seven goals. Winning goaltender in the match Spiro Gialopsos. After putting themselves in a 2-0 hole Bergen Beach would storm back with three straight lamp lights, but right before period two's end it would be a 3-3 game heading into the final session. Period three would belong to Bergen Beach as Nick Manferdini would break the dead lock and Fanesi would add some insurance for a 5-3 Bergen Beach winner. Winning goaltender in the match, fill in goalie Spiro Gialopsos. No Stop Signs or Speed Limits on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway as the squad skated to trail of a figure eight. Thomas Galligan was in the drivers seat posting a trick and two assists pushing the pedal to the medal in the 8-3 victor. Winning goaltender in the match Spiro Gialopsos! Well folks I don't think it's ever happened in the Bay but last night it did. We have three divisions in the Bay and when a player plays on three different teams there is a chance that the guy in the scheduling department might forget not to put all his teams games in one night. And it is also possible that a teams goalie might be a no show one night and a goalie might be asked to fill in. Last night it happened to Spiro Gialopsos! Stepping up to the task Spiro played in all four games and not only did he play in them he won every one of his games played, a perfect 4-0 on the night. WOW! Tip your helmet to the Kings Bay trooper Spiro Gialopsos in a night to remember for him in the Bay! One for the books as that record can't be broken, only tied. All standings pages have been updated.

10/2 Week 6 Schedules Posted below. The Whole Schedule will be revamped shortly. Please don't go by the schedule posted on the schedules page.

9/29 Soaked Out! With the Heavy down pours earlier in the day it left the rink something nasty for play. We'll pick it back up next week, don't forget tuesday night games are scheduled.

9/29 Dragons on Cruise, Hansons get it together, Gerritsen Beach stay tight and Fort Knox's power play the difference! Fort Knox? Fort Knox filled in for the Shooting Blanks who earlier in the day dropped out of the division and a Battle was on! A great contest till the end as Ft. Knox and BQE were dead locked at three a piece after two. A power play goal would be the difference as Mike Chindemi set up 27 for a goal at the 11:45 mark that held up to be the game winner. We'll learn later in the week if the Ft. Knox team will stick around for the season. Dragons took a one goal lead into the final session and turned it up from there. Posting four goals in the third the Dragons breathe out an 8-5 win moving to 4-0 on the season holding down the top seed. Matt Carlton made his draft season debut for the Dragons in the win putting up two goals and two assists. Gerritsen Beach rolled out to 3-0 on the season behind two James Esposito goals. The game was tight till the finish till James second lamp light of the night sealed off a 4-2 win. Hansons would break a 2-2 battle in the final session on a Andrew Manson follow through and would add another mesh mover totaling up a 4-2 winner. The Big W gets those Hansons in the W column. Great night of Hockey in the Bay as every game was a good one, all standings updated, stats soon.

Astoria Knightlings trailed by a goal heading into the final session but brought the heat in the third. With Nick Carpanini tying the game at four early in the final period Rob Alibrandi and Nick Dimoluas would get loose on breakaways with under six to play both hitting their target. Astoria would add another insurance goal and skate away with a 7-4 win. Old School in the drivers seat all night long controlling the play and dominating the game. Their Antics lead to a ten goal night with Bob Munday posting a trick and two assists while Eugene Perepada was good for two goals and a helper. The Bay Brewery would lead 6-2 but two third period goals by Breaking Bad would make it a close one with under five minutes to play. B. Munday would strike back at the two minute mark with his forth of the night in draft play sealing the deal for the Brew, quite a night for the big man. Standings pages have been updated, all team and league leader pages will be worked on over the weekend.

9/22 Gerritsen Beach in the Extra Session, Dragons look like the team and Cool Runnings close it out! Gerritsen Beach would cling onto a 3-2 lead deep into the third but a very late 12.9 seconds left goal by Eddie DiMiao off a rebound would knot things up at three. The four on four session went three minutes long as R. McGrath pounced on a loose puck went in for the break and made no mistake lifting the back hand into mesh for the 4-3 Gerritsen Beach win, great game! Dragons splash red screaming they are this season's draft gang rolling out to a 3-0 recording winning each of their games convincingly. In last night's play Bobby Kasimis and Dimitri Koylatar lead the attack with a hat-trick each and Jae Budha put up team goal number ten showing enthusiasm for his new squad while Stevie Balsan didn't have a word to say only letting one slide by his pipe. Cool Running Crew jumped out to a 7-2 lead but quickly watched their lead evaporate as the Zorros stormed back with four straight goals making it a one goal game with five minutes to play. 88, Danny Chringo would pull the rabbit out the hat with just twenty eight tics left, stamp a win on it as his release was something nasty in last nights play. The Bergen Beach Shooting Blanks game was a forfeit win for Bergen Beach, if a season or scoring title is on the line we'll try to make it up, if not we'll tac on a win at the end of the season for Bergen Beach. Last night's stats standings and more will be updated shortly.

9/15 Games Rained Out, Week 4 posted below, all stat pages and standings have been updated. I was MIA last night hence no write up today, but my right hand man. Stevie Balsan did the honors, keep reading.

9/15 Dragons Soar, Zorros Flip it, Gerritsen Opens in Style and BQE Takes the High Road! Draft play started another hot night at the Bay as the Dragons picked up their second win of the young season in convincing style, with Dimitri Koylatar providing the firepower and the speedy Dragon defense doing the rest. Bill Buckman's tally in the waning minutes prevented the goose egg for Breaking Bad. The defending champs hit the win column as the shorthanded Zorros struck late. Andrew Manson netted a hat trick and Rob Mazzuchin gave his Hansons the lead with 3:48 remaining, but John Filipelli wouldn't let his team be denied, posting his third and fourth goals of the evening to snatch the victory. After last week's bye, Gerritsen Beach was the only remaining team in the league needing to start their season, and they did it in fine fashion. Newcomer to the LB Andrew Manson posted a goal and an assist and Rob Molina shut the door as a late goal by K. Cooper sealed the deal for the boys in Pink. In Big B action, BQE got off the Belt Parkway at 0-1 and returned home with their first win of the season. The BQE squad looks deep as all five of their goals came from five different scorers.

9/7 All Games Canceled this week, Heavy Rains. Week 3 already posted below.

9/3 All pages Updated! Full Schedule has been posted!

9/3 Bergen Beach bounce back, Black N Blue Bully, Old School Ready and Kings in a Shoot Out! Bergen Beach got back on track after an opening night speed bump as Danny Balsamo lead the way with a crazy sick five goal night. Bergen Beach lead 4-3 heading into the final session but Danny put home three of his five in the third securing the win. Bergen Beach goalie Ralphie Bavaro was also a stand out player on the evening making many big saves through out the contest. Old School and NOMAAM picked up where they left off a season ago and were involved in another tight contest to kick off the LB. A 2-1 Old School lead after the first would be all the scoring this game would see so a 2-1 win it would be as both goalies Fox and Balsan both did their thing. Old School added some new school with Paul Sciarraffo's first period tally holding up to be the game winner. Black N Blue set the pace showed team speed and finished what they touched. Joey Musco blazed home three as 22 put home two, Black N Blue cruise 7-2. Week one in the Bay burnt many Barns as the Shooting Blanks and Kings collided for yet another barn burner. 202! Both the Blanks and the Kings would put up two in the first none in the second and two more each in the third. M. McGregor put up trick for the Kings from the back field position as Cory Johnson of the Blanks put home two. The Overtime session couldn't decide this four four battle so the shoot out would have to determine our winner. Kings goalie Giovanni Prete would say no stopping both his one on one's as Manson and Mcgregor were good on theirs. Kings a 5-4 win! All week One Stats team pages standings and more will be updated over the weekend.

9/1 Back in the Saddle Again! Marine Park feel some what better, Breaking Bad in a Shoot Out, Bay Brewery and Dragons get the job done in Week 1! Out the gate the Draft looks even across the board. Genero Sereino would set off Breaking Bads season with two straight goals as the Hansons Mike Dakalakis would get two of his own, his second giving the Hansons a 4-3 lead after two. But a third period Billy Buckman tally would tie the game and send us to a shoot out. The shoot out would go though both teams squads and Dom Rubino's wrist snipe would give Breaking Bad the Shoot Out Win. Bay Brewery and the Zorros would be deadlocked at four after two but the Bay Brew would win the third 3-1 and take a 7-5 win. Munday and Morozov would hit the back of the net twice in the W while Mike Gambino would post a hat-trick in the loss for the Zorros. Another game that was dead locked at four after two was the Dragons Cool Runnings Crew match. The Dragons would bring Irene to the Bay in the third flooding the net with four taking an 8-5 win. Bobby Kasimis had a four goal Dragon night as Thomas Galligan put up four points in his draft league debut for the Cool Running Crew. With a championship loss still fresh on their minds Marine Park came out with fire in their eye. Building a 4-1 lead early in the third Bergen Beach would make it a one goal game but Marine Park's Steve Kelly would score his forth and fifth goals of the evening sealing a 6-3 win. Attention: The schedule will be worked on this weekend, there will be no set nights for the divisions. But the formula will be two draft games, an LB and a BB game on Wednesday's with Thursday's having two BB, one LB and one Draft game. There will be a team with a bye week and a team that will possible double up in a week due to an odd number of teams. Their will also be two pre rain out dates scheduled on two Tuesday nights later in the season. If any team has a problem playing on a certain night we'll do out best to accommodate but please let me know by this Saturday. Also, There is still a shot of two more teams entering the BB as the deadline will be this Saturday. All web pages on the site will also be worked on and updated this weekend as well. The rink will be getting a couple of new coats of Tennis Court paint Friday night with the lines being done on Tuesday. Great opening night of hockey, we look forward to having a great fall season in the Bay! Play Hockey My Friends!

8/21 The Season projected start is Wednesday August 31st and Thursday September 1st, we are near my friends.

8/18 The Draft Went Down in the Bay! Surprises, no brainers and a block buster deal all happened in one sitting of the capo meet of the minds for new squads. Steven Kelly was the first pick over all as Anthony Manno was the first goalie to go. New commer Paul Schrifano and John Flip were dealt to the defending Champion Zorros for Nicky Mazzola and Danny Chringo going to the Cool Runnings Crew. The Weight holds steady as the teams look pretty even across the board. Draft Players see where you are here. This draft season looks like to be a good one, excitement is in the air.

8/10 Draft is Complete, six full teams. Next Wednesday August 17th will be draft night. Two sessions 7:00 to 8:45 and 8:45 to 10:30. 8/8 OK folks where looking at two to three more weeks for a start date. The Draft league has rounded up nicely as where looking at going six full teams. We are currently one guy shy of a sixth team. 7/9 NOMAAM and ZORROS Champions photos added to the site. All final playoff stats and pages have been updated as well. End of season wrap up and new season update coming your way shortly.

7/6 Zorros Edge Hansons take down the Draft League Title! It went down to the final possible game as the battle would be decided in the final period of play determining our Draft League Champion. With just 5:01 remaining in the final session Alex Morozov would snipe an over the shoulder blaze off a Andrew Manson feed to break the 2-2 dead lock for a 3-2 Zorros lead. After some big Mike Gambino saves (What?) and some keep away play the Zorros are the new Kings on the Mountain tops of Draft League Play. Where to begin in this one folks or where not to begin? With some much drama in the Kings Bay League it's hard being the C.O.M.M.I.S.S D.O. Double G. But some how some way, the dramatics unfolded before we even got to the rink to play as a goalie was not able to make the game and the other team deciding what they wanted to do about the situation we left it all in the capo's hands to work this gem out. Instead of letting Slim Rothchild league goalie fill in for the absent goalie who actually played five games with the Zorros this season but wasn't officially on the roster the Hansons decided on letting one of their official players get between the pipes. Mike Gambino would get the call! And so the goalie battle was on as zero.zoro goals were scored through the first 29:21 of the game. Alex Morozov of the Zorros rush with time running down in the middle session would be the first goal of the night with just :39 left in the second period of play. Glen Santos would have an answer early into period three with a roof top blaze but Morozov came right back for his second goal of the night for the 2-1 lead just under two minutes later. Hansons held their ground fighting back for the equalizer as Rob Mazuchin would stuff home the tying goal with 5:58 to go. And now people we have a 2-2 game with less then six minutes to play for all and everything. WOW this is good stuff, we were on the edge of our seats in the booth. But then their it was just a short fifty seven seconds later Alexi Morozov finishing his off hat-trick and finishing off his second straight draft title in the Bay. Hats off to all the Zorros and their capo Jesse "The Sandwich King" Hetzler putting an elite group of men together getting the job done including, Andrew Manson, Alex Morozov, Mike Gambino, John Marando, Manny Lopez, Ilya Podolskiy, Bobby Bambauer and Jae Re. Hat's off to the Hansons who played the game of their lives in a Davey vs Goliath situation and almost pulling it off. Great season boys! And Congratulations to all three new teams being added to the Cup! Bergren Beach of the BIG B, NOMAAM of the LB and the Zorros of the Draft. Final playoff stats and NOMAAM and Zorros championship photos will be added shortly also stay tuned in for the new season of play as we will be doing some repairs to the rink and moving forward.

7/2 Zorros vs Hansons Game scheduled.

7/1 NOMAAM do the CAN CAN TAKE HOME THE LB CROWN! The series went the distance and the series was tight but with a 2-0 NOMAAM lead heading into the final session a highlight real Mike Gambino roof top would put the icing on the cake in the NOMAAM Championship run. Championships don't come easy in the Bay and after a 9-1 regular season lock down NOMAAM would get out of a semifinal match in a one goal game, pull out a win in Game One of the Finals, lose game two and then bring it in game three of the finals to lift the trophy high. Take a deep breath as Brandon Barbuto and Bill Fox CO Captains of the NOMAAM can make a sigh of relief as their mission is complete. A Kings Bay Cup Victory is now all theirs. Goal scorers in last night's play for the NOMAAM would include Joseph Jensen, Jason Weston and a hat's off Mike Gambino hat-trick. Assists would be applied by Gambino, Jensen and Ammirati. Add in a Bill Fox shut out to the equation and another team is ready to be engraved on the KINGS BAY CUP. NOMAAM Kings Bay Cup Champions of the LB Spring 2011!

6/30 If Necessary Is Necessary in Game 3 of the LB FINALS! Well after nineteen Weeks of scheduled Kings Bay Hockey in the LB Division it all comes down to forty five minutes and possibly then some in the Bay. And the last game is and will be the deciding match for trophy love between Old School and NOMAAM who split games one and two in the same evening of play. Where to begin? After a Rain stalled game left us at 1-0 with 9:28 remaining in the second we picked up where we left off. Joey Jensen would soon tie the game at one off a J. West feed but Bob Munday would be quick to counter giving the Old School their one goal lead back heading into the last regulated time vault. The fight for game one would persist with scoreless hockey for 14:02 as Michael Gambino would get the desperation tally with a wrist blaze through traffic to even the score and a NOMAAM roar! Bang Bang Bang and what just happened from the center rink face off and a drive as Bryan Armaritti would get the go ahead goal just a few seconds later as NOMAAM would rejoice in their first lead of the game. An empty net goal would be applied and NOMAAM would steal a game one victory in the final minute of play, WOW! NOMAAM would look to continue their last minute heroics early into game two of the finals as their Wing Like Roller Blades flapped and a Mike Gambino back hand would give NOMAAM a 1-0 lead. But guys who know Old School hockey don't just bow out so easy and will breathe a life till their very last breath. Ilya Podolskiy, Gabor Tali and Bob Bambauer would all hit the back of the net by first periods end for a 3-1 Old School lead turning the momentum back in their direction. In period two Joe Jensen would slide home a one goal game and we were right back at where we were in game one with Old School leading by a goal into the final fifteen. No mistakes in an elimination match as this time around Gabor Tali and Mikey Byrnes took out an insurance plan to force a game three. Game three Game three is here tonight in the Bay! Both teams captains will be typing out the same motivational texts to their players, "forty five minutes to fame. " Forty five minutes is all it will take for a Life Time memory in the Bay and an etching on the Cup. One game, come down and watch as it will all unfolds at 8:30 PM. Get Ready folks the LB Finale is tonight in the Bay! Earn to sip!

6/29 HANSONS ROAR BACK, Force a Game 3! It all goes back to draft day to see how all the cards were laid out and how pay day players would perform on pay day and the reason why things happen and how teams were picked and questions and frustrations all answered or puzzled and pondered upon or if things could of been done differently. But in an elimination game a team that had all the intangibles but never seemed to work it out all season long are only one game away. I repeat, one game away from a championship. Team captains could now all scratch their heads and say what if? The team in question here is the Hansons who had the second pick overall getting the number one player in the Draft and arguably the best goalie seem to all of a sudden be the favorites going into a Game 7 of the Draft League Finals. But let's dig deeper, was that all there was here? Not really. Jason Weston big defensive plays facing elimination, Glen Santos scoring the game winner and two big ones to force the last possible game in draft and let's not forget late season addition and team motivator Liam Morris performing defensive clutch. And then it was game two lights out players goal keep Spiro Gialopsos minding his position and the other guy Steven Kelly scoring the goals making it look all so easy in victory. Final score Hansons 8 Zorros 3. But here is the quick counter and quick card pull to the Zorros Credit... Andrew Manson was not in the Zorros line up, I repeat and repeat for a second time in the same article, Andrew Manson was not in the Zorros line up. Would of he made a difference last night? Probably not. Can he make a difference in Game 3? Probably so, but either way you look at it the winner of the next game will be crowned the Draft League Champion. Can Jesse Hetzler add a complement to his Reapers rings with a Zorros win or could Rob Muzuchin possibly go two for two winning championships in draft play as a captain. I wish neither could happen (LOL), but I'll be happy for either and after a meeting of the minds immediately after game two, Game three will be next Tuesday night at 8:00. Tonight's game is canceled and the LB finals will set off at 9:00. The drama continues! SICK!

6/25 Week 18 Schedules Posted Below.

6/24 Bergen Beach Lift Glory High in a true Bay Battle! Is the Kings Bay Cup the hardest trophy to win in all recreational sports? It just might be as Bergen Beach wipe out three consecutive heartbreaks in one single game to be the first to drink out of the all newly repaired Kings Bay Cup! Frank Balsamo wouldn't let he Cup be on hold any longer as he went straight to the goal mouth off a sharp angle to break the 3-3 deadlock midway though the third. Marine Park lead a do or die game 3-2 heading into the final session but a Ryan Breizi wrist snipe would say where all tied early into the final session. After the Frankie Balsamo lead changer it would be Ralphie Bavaro time! Turned aside the shots he would as the Park brought everything to the table to get that tying goal back but nothing was doing. Ralpie's pads are old but Ralphie's pads are good as his crease line he would protect after the continuos pepper spray down the stretch. The final buzzer would sound and the BIG B title would belong to the Beach of Bergen! It's been a long time coming, the Cup now belongs to Bergen Beach of the BIG B. Congrats to all the boys of Bergen who made it possible with the most rounded sounded team as they lifted the Cup High! The LB finals got under way but a 1-0 Old School lead would be foiled by rain midway through the second. An Ilya Podlisky goal would put Old School on top but a rain foiled game would have to leave us where we left off with 9:28 remaining in the second session. The Stevie Balsan puzzle will be kept a secret and a game left off will be made up ASAP. Reschedules and more coming your way, the Kings Bay Hockey Finals will have it's say!

6/22 Rain Out... Games Canceled, Schedules stand the same for tomorrow night!

6/22 Bergen Beach draw first blood in the BIG B! Bergen Beach let it be know from the start of the puck drop they were ready for the BIG B Finale as they would connect just thirty five seconds into play off of a Danny Balsamo snipe. Richie Feminao wouldn't let his breakaway attempt go to waste as he quickly made for a 2-0 Bergen Beach rally and the first period parade wouldn't end until Fanesi would connect off a sharp angle and a quick 3-0 lead heading into the middle penguin. Bergen Beach's other youngster would tally early in the second for a 4-0 lead as Bergen Beach kept coming. Save, Save, Save Bergen Beach goalie Ralphie Bavaro kept the door shut until ten tics remaining in the second as Alex Morozov banged home a rebound to get the Park on the board and some momentum heading into the final session. A Steven Kelly breakaway with 7:41 remaining made the lead two and a Marine Park five on three advantage with under four minutes to play made for a great finish in Game one of the BIG B Finals. But the doors would be kept closed and the shots held to a minimum as the Bergen Beach defense would be responsible for a bunch of blocked shots through out the contest. Danny Balsamo's second of the night into the empty basket would put the finishing touches in game one of the best of three series in the BIG B Finals. And now, Bergen Beach is only one win away from the BIG B Title! Marine Park will arrive and be ready from stopping this to happen and force a game three on Thursday when the puck is set to drop in game deuce. The Kings Bay Cup will be in attendance, will she be lifted or will an extra game be needed? Stay tuned for Hockey in the Bay Thursday night! In a quick schedule change on Thursday Night, the Marine Park and Bergen Beach games were swapped from the 9:15 to 8:15 slots with NOMAAM and Old School. Team Captains will be notified.

6/18 The Finals Schedule Updated and last Week's Box Scores.

6/17 BIG B Heavy Weights Bergen Beach and Marine Park will Collide in the Kings Bay Cup Finals as Zorros strike first in Game One of the Draft League championship! Marine Park would come out with a match, torch and a fire in the first posting a three spot as two lamp flicks would come off of Anthony Allorigo blade and a highlight reel end to end tally wow from Christopher Brown. Jameson's would connect early in the second and go on a power play but a KC Krober short handed break away goal would push the Park margin back to three and help convert a meeting in the Finals of the BIG B. The Meeting will be against the league's top seed as a second period outburst would be the trail to their succeed. Bergen Beach's attack in the second would see a Steven Finley blast, a Danny Balsamo blaze, a Fanesi top corner snap and a Ryan Breizi laser wiping out a one goal deficit and a 4-1 lead heading into the final session. It would be more of the same in period three as Munday, Femiano and Breizi and Balsamo again would all hit mesh setting up a skate dance contest with Marine Park for the big silver marble. This one my friends will be a good one, two teams with explosive offensives, two teams that know each other well. Two neighboring neighborhoods as both teams have players residing in each others hoods. Bergen Beach took the season series two games to none in two close games as one of the two games was decided in an extra session. The two teams also met in a Kings Bay Cup Finals way back when that went the distance and ended in a double overtime victory going Bergen Beach's way as well. So there you have it! The table is set for a pinnacle match up in the Bay as the action in this one will be non stop. The Zorros retire a game one win with two big goals coming off Ilya Podolskiy and Andrew Masons twig. The game was a good one with the Zorros up two zip heading into period two as Steve Kelly would have two answers and a tie mid way through period deuce. But Andrew Mason's first goal of the night with 3:40 remaining would put the Zorros back up 3-2 heading into the final session. A very good battle deep into the third in a one goal game as Mason would hit home again with just over five minutes to play. Ilya Podolskiy's empty net tap in would seal the deal for a game one draft league finals win. So now Jesse "the sandwich King" Hetzler is just one deep breath win away from his Zorros franchise first draft league title in the Bay! Can the Hansons force a game three or will Jesse and the Zorros get to lift up glory in game two? Next week these questions will have answers! Stay with us in the Bay! All playoff stats, updated schedule, box scores, playoff tree and more will be updated over the weekend, you will see soon, so stay turned!

6/16 Hansons Stun the Brew press to the Draft League Finals as NOMAAM break the knot move to the LB Finale! Talk about playoff Hockey talk about the two games played in the Bay last night. Two games four teams battling to get into their respecting divisional finals. Two one goal games two games decided in the final minutes of play. Is there anything more to be said? Well I guess there is. In draft play a game that had blow out written all over it with Bay Brew up 4-1 deep into the first a very late goal kept the heart pumpin the blood in the Hansons drive. Their number one draft pick, number two over all would excel from there on in. His name, Steven Kelly as he would hit the back of the net six times of his teams seven goals creating magic all night. The seventh goal however would belong to James Esposito that would put his team up 7-5. The Bay Brewery would again make it a one goal game with under a minute to play but the Hansons locked it down the rest of the way and a 7-6 Semi Final win would be their's and a date with the Zorros tonight in a best of three series for the Draft League Title. After a thirteen goal shoot out the LB Semi Finals would only see three goals scored total. As NOMAAM won the LB division title this season convincingly with a 9-1 record, I knew this playoff game would still be a good one. The tone would be set as Gerritsen Beach would strike first with a cannon blast off R. Desfosse stick six minutes into play. The battle would go on and on as the next goal wouldn't been seen till 2:58 remaining in period two. As Joey Jensen has scored a ton of goals in the Bay, the goal he would score to even the contest might of been one of his hardest goals earned ever. After a fierce struggle behind Gerritsen Beach's cage for puck, Jensen would win the battle come from behind the net get into scoring position and roof a tie score. Continue the score even at one it would until Brian Carlton would find the back of the net off a Bryan Ammirati feed and a 2-1 NOMAAM lead with just under six mintues to play. The struggle, the desperation and battle would go on the rest of the game but that's all the scoring this dispute would see. NOMAAM enter the draft league finals against the Old School. Can NOMAAM complete their stampede though the LB and lift the KB CUP or will the Old School bunch donning a bunch of players in the their late 30's and early 40's be able to stop the rush? It all remains to be seen as the KINGS BAY CUP FINALS set's in next week!

6/14 We'll the Rain decided to come exactly at game time. Bummer! Schedules updated!

6/9 Heavy Storms put the BIG B Semi Finals on hold. Tuesday night is the make up night, WEEK 16 Schedules posted below. All playoff stats updated and the playoff tree is back again.

6/9 Old School Back In the LB Finals, Zorros pounce into the Draft League Finals, Gerritsen Beach roll into the Semi's and Hanson's pull it off down the stretch push into the Semifinals! Probably one of the best draft games of the season took place last night between Cool Runnings Crew and the Hansons as the contest would be decided in the final minutes of play. It would be Steven Kelly ending the 2-2 battle with a blast from the point while goal keep Spiro Gialopsos was able to keep his cage on lock the rest of the way for the win. James Esposito had something to do with all the Hansons goals with two lamp blinks and an assist on the game winner. Next up for the Hansons is the top seeded Bay Brewery for the right to go to the finals against the explosive high powered offensive Zorros. It was a 2-2 game after one and a three goal game after two but everyone knows a three goal deficit isn't the end of the world in draft play. But it would be team capo Jesse Hetzler putting the icing on the cake with a top circle tally and a four goal lead. All in all the M & M boys Manson and Morozov proved to be way to much combining for a twelve point night in the W as they stampede into the finals. A late goal right before the buzzer by first periods end would prove to be the back breaker in the defending champions season. It would be all Gerritsen Beach in this one as Kevin Cooper is elevating his play every time he puts on his skates putting home two goals while goalie Rob Molina shut the door repeatedly earning himself the donut. R. Desfosse blazed home a hat-trick in the big Gerritsen win as well. Gerritsen Beach will see top seeded heavy weights NOMAAM next for the right to face Old School in the LB Finals. Two first period darts and a goalie battle the rest of the way was enough to get Old School back into the finals for a second straight season. Old School would get scoring from Bob Munday, Gabor Tali and the insurance tally from Johnny Flip in the 3-0 win. Steve Balsan earned his shut out in the final session as Black N Blue pressed hard for mesh as he was quick to deny. First round of Playoff Hockey is complete in the Bay. With that said there will be a new champion in each division! The saga continues tonight as the BIG B Semi Finals get underway.

6/6 Schedules Updated for Thursday night.

6/4 All Pages Updated, playoff schedule posted below please read.

6/3 Playoff Hockey is Here! Sky Line and Jameson's Revenge in Thrillers! Dragons and NOMAAM finish their season's strong! The Quest for Lord Kings Bay began last night in the BIG B Division as Jasmeson's Revenge and the Shooting Blanks would set off all the action. Jameson's would strike early in the first as they wouldn't see the back of the net again till the third. The Blanks would even score at one in the second with a goal off John Ciazzia smooth stick work. With a 1-1 tie heading into the final session Jameson's would bang home two quick goals for a strong two goal lead but the Blanks came right back to make it a one goal game. As the press would be on for the tying goal with an empty Blanks net Jameson's would do the shooting as Tommy Gallagin sealed it darting the biscuit into the vacant basket. Jameson's Revenge move on into the Semi Finals and a date is set with them and Marine Park for the right to dance in the finals. The two teams split the season series one game apiece, so the contest will be good. Sky Line and the Kings would be another wild match! In the end the raining scoring champ would have his say. With the Kings trailing by a 1-0 margin after one they would bring it on in period two. Joey Jensen would break the ice for the Kings with a two man short handed tally as McGrath and Chringo would soon follow for a 3-1 Kings lead. But Sky Line would keep their composure call for time and get within a goal by periods end for a one goal game heading into the final session. Bobby Kasimis would move his team forward putting the next two goals into the back of his opponents net for goals number three and four on the night as Nick Dimisi would turn up the speed on a break going net and a two goal Sky Line lead. Andrew Manson would get the Kings back within one but it would soon be all said and done in a great exciting hockey game. Sky Line vs Bergen Beach up next, that last time these two teams saw each other a shoot-out was needed. There are no shoot outs in playoff hockey! The battle continues next week! NOMAAM would finish off their season with an eight goal outing while piling up their ninth win of the season. Bryan Ammirati was good for a natural hat-trick in the third period scoring his teams last three goals of the game. Jason Weston also had a two goal night adding an assist as the Kings Bay Legend Joey Jensen notches another scoring title in the Bay with a eighteen point season, his first scoring title in the LB division. Dragons put up another ten goal night as they did in the night before. Charlie and Joey would both finish with a five point outing as Charlie and Joey will both be key factors if the Dragons hope their playoff push to defend their title will go as planed. A idle Stevie Balsan the Dragons goal keep will also be a key player in the mix as well as his play between the pipes earns him his second Goals Against Average League Leader title with top honors with a 4.33 G.A.A.. Well it was a good week of Hockey in the Bay. Next week their will be nothing but playoff stick and puck happening! Stay tuned as the Drama unfolds.

6/2 Old School clutch, Fire out the Dragons mouth, Cool Runnings in the third, Black N Blue in a Barn Burner and a Record Broken! Trailing by a goal deep into the third Old School would get the game tying goal with 3:15 left off of Mikey Byrnes stick which would be good for his second of the night. Down the stretch Old School would get an odd man rush as Bob Bambauer would hit Gio Tali sniping home a wrist shot for the game winner with just fifteen tics remaining. Black N Blue would get a goal in the first and this struggle wouldn't see another goal scored until 5:55 of the third which would also belong to Black N Blue. Both goals would belong to Charlie Sbrigato as Dimitri Koytlar would go long ball into the empty net hitting the target from his own side of the rink. Black N Blue goal keep Spiro Gialopsos was very good in the win getting the shut out as it moves him up to the number one spot for the goalie lead in the Goals Against Average while sealing the title for himself. So the match ups are all finally said in the done in the first round of the LB playoffs. As it looked like tonight was a first round playoff preview it was not. Black N Blue lock down the second seed and will meet Old School in the first round of the playoffs who took third seed on tie breakers. Marine Park and Gerritsen Beach will face off in the four five slate with the winner playing NOMAAN. Dragons captain Charles Sbrigato would let it be know his Dragons are playoff ready with his seven point night. Putting up a hat-trick and four assists his team would tally for ten. They have a game left on the schedule and then will get ready to defend their Cup win from a season ago. Cool Runnings Crew would come out strong in the final session posting three goals trailing 5-3 and take a 6-5 win as Nicky Mazzola put home the game winner late in the third for his second of the night breaking the tie. Heading into last nights game Alex Morozov who already had won the Draft League scoring title needed four points to 50 and five points to 51 which would be good for the all time draft league record. Steve Kelly set the record just a season ago and it was fitting he was actually refing the game Alex was shooting for his title. Alex would assist on his teams first goal of the night and then explode for his teams next four tallies. Having something to do with all his teams goals Alex now owns the title of most points ever in a draft season with 51, 32 goals and 19 assists. Congrats Rocket! Playoff Hockey begins tonight in the Bay as the BIG B gets underway!

6/1 Old School Break Ice in the Third! With a 1-1 dead lock heading into the final session those Old sticks would connect in the third with Jesse Hetzler breaking the balance with a top of the circle snipe for a 2-1 lead as Gabor Tali and Bob Bambauer would add some insurance in a 4-1 win. Every goal was credited with an assist as Bobby Munday was good for two with Mikey Byrnes and John Flip also contributing. Talking about contributions Slim "The Kid" Rothchild also had a say only letting one by his goal crease in the win. The standings are tight in the LB, with seeds two through five only separated by two points any team in those positions can land any where along those lines. The picture will be said and done this week, weather permitting as we look forward to a great second season.

5/28 Week 14 Schedules posted! All pages updated. We had couple of mistakes that were written in the write up with the stats, Bobby Kasimis auctually had a hat-trick in his last game winning the scoring title with nineteen points and Alex Morozov of the Zorros had an extra goal in his stats that wasn't accounted for to put him at forty six on the season. He is four points shy of the All Time record of 50 with a game to play.

5/27 A Great Finish in the BIG B! Marine Park lock down the second seed, A King surprise, Jameson's in the final tics and Hansons look ready! We do things BIG in the B! All teams played their season finale as if it was game 7 of the Kings Bay Cup finals while every game was decided by two goals or less. All playoff matches are now set as scoring titles were won and top goalie honors would be received on the last day of play. We'll get to all of that good stuff after the game recaps and more. Jameson's Revenge and the Shooting Blanks would be tied at two deep into the third and as if overtime looked like a sure shot, Travis Gallagar's sure shot would end the contest with 45.4 seconds left in regulation. The one goal lead would be secured the rest of the way. What a game, great finish and these two teams will get to do it again in an elimination match next week in round one of the BIG B playoffs. KC Krober would set Marine Park's night off with the squads first two goals and big bad Christopher Brown would assist on two later tallies as Marine Park was able to hold off the late Sky Line rush and seal the deal with Anthony Allorigo's empty net lamp lighter. With the win the second seed belongs to the Park which is good for a free pass into the semifinals! In the loss Sky Lines Bobby Kasimis was talking lamp language again putting three into mesh as those three were good for Bobby's first scoring title in the Bay. Bobby came close numerous times before but this time made it happen with an nineteen point season as the scoring title race went down to the last game and was decided by only a point, congrats killer. As we saw the Kings and Bergen Beach go to a shoot-out just two days earlier, this game would be just as close ending in regulation. Danny Chringo would have one of his biggest night's in the Bay ever posting up a five goal night while Joe Jensen was back to routine with a trick of goals and a trick of assists. The duo hooked up for the game winner in the Kings win. So, the Kings finish in the third spot and that set's them up with the Sky Line as Jameson's Revenge and the Blanks will tangle. Great first round match ups as these games will be good! Bergen Beach and Marine Park will get first round byes as they sit idle awaiting the winners of those games to see who they will compete against in the semifinal round. Hanson's win again, their second straight with their number one pick Steven Kelly posting a six point night with five goals and an assist. New recruit Liam Morris was working his blade giving four to those who light red lamps while getting himself on the league leaders page, you go Boy! CRC and Hansons will go at it again in the first round of the Darft League Playoffs. Last quick news and tibits, the Shooting Blanks Anthony Manno locks down the number one goalie honors with the top Goals Against Average per game with a 3.00 listing. Shockingly he did all that good stuff with a losing record as he kept his team in every game. Speaking of the Shooting Blanks they are awarded the crown for last season's BIG B Champions. The Blanks were up one game to none as we were soon bombarded with snow and the two teams past the deadline to make up the game after all cleared. Congrats to the Shooting Blanks winning another title and getting another etching on the Kings Bay Cup!

5/26 Gerritsen with under a minute, Marine Park break it under two, Hansons get a first and Zorros run run. In a splendid opning night battle the two teams involved Gerritsen Beach and Black N Blue would trade goals in the first as another tally wouldn't be seen until 53.9 ticks in regulation. The tie breaker would belong to Gerritsen's Kevin Cooper the solid dee man putting his Beach Brothers over the top. A back and forth encounter would persist between two teams who know each other well Old School and Marine Park as the final minutes of play would determine the winner. Alex Morozov would slide home victory with 1:26 remaining giving the Park their second straight W. The Hansons make a statement while getting their first Win of the season. Handing the top seed a loss has the team thinking positive heading into the playoffs. All spectators couldn't talk enough about James Esposito as he set four fires into the back of his competitors net with Steven Kelly also smiling upon the rink with three cannon balls and shockingly three assists. The Zorros can skate while demonstrating one of the best if not the best offensive attacks in Draft play. While putting up eleven goals in their pervious match they put up another six last night while not having their full arsenal on display. Alex Morozov was good for a three point night with two goals and an assist putting himself in a tie for first place in the scoring race with Bobby Kasimis, both players stand at forty five on the season. Alex has a game left while Bobby has none and will just need one point to lock down his second scoring title in draft league play. The BIG B finale dance is set for tonight as many different scenario's could unfold. Seeds two through six are only separated by two points. Seed two though five all have a shot at the second seed which gets a bye into the semifinals with Marine Park controlling their own destiny for the second spot with a win. With a loss any of those other teams can snatch it up. Also on the watch will be the BIG B scoring title as Bobby Kasimis and Danny Balsamo are both tied with 16 points heading into their final game, also on their heels are four players tied at 14. The BIG B finale is tonight! All standings updated as Tuesdays night's statistics have been updated as well.

5/25 NOMAAN Rock Rock On, Dragons regroup, Bay Brewery clinch the draft league division title and Bergen Beach in a shoot out! NOMAAN just keep on truckin down Bay road moving to 8-1 on the season. Travis Gallagher lead the way in last night's play with three runs batted in as Jay Weston and Bryan Ammirati also rounded the bases. Just a short week ago the Dragons gave up there most goals ever in a game. The team must of had a meeting or something because this week they would only let one past their goal crease while putting up six. Joey Jensen and Charlie Sbrigato's names would fill up the scoring sheet with Joe putting up a field goal and dishin off a safty while Sbrigato broke on through the goal line defense twice while dishing off just out side the three point line. Wild finishes in our last two matches with the draft division title on the line the two teams involved were not short on their offensive attacks. The two teams would combine for twenty three goals scored, the most ever in draft play. The final would be 12-11 as the Zorros banged home three late third period goals just falling short in the loss. The two teams big guns were blazin all night as Bobby Kasimis lead the Bay Brew with a nine point evening and Alex Morozov of the Zorros was good for an eight point finish. The two are neck and neck in the points race but with Bobby missing the Bay Brew finale tonight Alex has two games in hand to win the Draft league scoring title. A shoot out was needed in the Bergen Beach Kings contest, but it was newly acquired goal keep Vic Leoung shutting the door on all three attempts while showing off his beautiful glove. Danny Balsamo fresh off last weeks Mardi Gra said it's getting late and put it where he knows pucks belong giving Bergen Beach their third Over Time win on the season. Tuesday night hockey in the Bay was a success! Tonight a new story will unfold as we inch just a little closer to the second season. All standings updated....

5/22 Week 13 Schedules have been updated, a few tweaks we readjusted it so no one would have a bye week. All stats updated and team pages.

5/19 Bergen Beach clinch their third straight division title, Marine Park full throttle, Shooting Blanks keep the wheels turning as Black N Blue move on up the ladder! And then the Rain Cleared... Finally some Hockey in the Bay after two straight nights of rain as Bergen Beach would get to work on the quick, posting a goal in the first, two in the second and four more in third for a seven goal night and a winner. Danny Balsamo lead the serge with a five point Mardi gra dancing up rink with four goals and adding a helper. His big night in the Bay puts him in a tie for the league lead in scoring at 16 points with Bobby Kasimis of Sky Line. With the two points earned for Bergen Beach they put all other teams out of reach for the top seed and clinch their third straight division title. Marine Park cylinders kept pumping as they closed out their third straight win moving into second place in the BIG B. The team has playoff eligibility issues as key players in the line up Pat Mead and Steve Kelly both have three games played with a game to go. All eyes will be on the Park's attendance sheet next week in their season finale. Nick Carppanini was everyone last night in the Bay going swish twice and handing three over to compadres, his five point outburst put the Blanks over the top and out of the cellar. Speedy defenseman Sean Martin would also be good for two watt blasts in victory. Those men in Black can make you Blue as six different skaters numbers were written down on the scoring card. Dimitri Kotlyar who's been out with an injury for a while didn't forget how to score as the back of the net was hit twice, John Muarando also went deep into the mesh in the Black N Blue W. All Standings updated, some stats, all pages soon. TUESDAY NIGHT WILL BE SCHEDULED AGAIN NEXT WEEK, SAME RAIN OUT FROM LAST TUESDAY, WITH A POSSIBLE 7:15 ADDED IN.

5/18 RAIN

5/17 DAM RAIN! WE OUT....

5/14 ALL STAT PAGES UPDATED... 5/13 Bay Brew keep the roll, Bergen Beach snipe in OT, Shooting Blanks hold on and Marine Park win! Shooting Blanks put up a goal in the first, second and third building a 3-0 lead but Jameson's Revenge would inch their way back in the game with a goal at the 7:05 mark and another with 1:21 left in regulation. All a little too late as the Blanks held on for the win. Joe Barker was good for a two assist night in the W for the Blanks as goalie Anthony Manno made some big saves through out the contest. The Battle of the night took place in the Bergen Beach Sky Line game as regulation wasn't enough to settle this one. Richie Femiano would blaze home his second of the night right corner top shelf for the game winner giving Bergen Beach a nice four point cushion for the division lead. The game was great as the extra session saw a penalty shot turned aside by Bergen Beach fill in goalie Spiro Gialopsos. Marine Park is clicking at the right time as they got their first five goals from five different skaters. KC Krober and Steve Kelly lead the way placing rubber on mesh two times each while both forwards would also register for two helpers as well. The Bay Brew came with shotguns in the first fireing cans and soon lead 4-1 mid-way though the second. But the game would soon see an about face as it was a one goal game with just over five minutes to play. The Brew was able to keep the score the same the rest of the way and take the victory. Bobby Kasimis was good for a hat-tick in the W while Phil Rykala put home two. Sammy Pontillo and 77 put home two goals each in the loos. The Draft show down is set for next week between the Bay Brewery and the Zorros. The winner of that game should take the division title as the two teams split their two previous matches. Full standings updated, updated stats over the weekend. WEEK 12 ALREADY POSTED BELOW! TUESDAY NIGHT GAMES SCHEDULED.

5/12 Bay Brew set the pace, Zorros unload in the third, Marine Park stop the bleeding and NOMAAN can in the final minute of play! The two draft winners both put up big numbers in the final session making for the difference in both games. Bay Brew and the Hansons were dead locked at three but a six goal outburst in the third would put them over the top. The Bay Bobby's combined for a nine point night in the win. The Zorros Hansons match would be a one goal game heading into the final fifteen but the Zorros would light the lamp seven more times in those long minutes capitalizing on all of their odd man rushes. Andrew Manson got his groove back placing seven goals in the basket while handing out two for a crazy nine point night. Andrew had something to do with every third period Zorros goal with five goals and two assists. Marine Park got back in the win column for only the second time this season as the Kings Bay Cup Hangover has been long and dreadful. The full squad put up a solid effort as Steve Noto set up the game winning goal in the final minutes of play for the 5-4 win. Talk about excitement the Old School NOMAAN game also went down to the wire as well in a out standing battle. Mike Gambino's forth goal of the night would break the 4-4 knot with only :40.7 remaining as the goal would hold up for the 5-4 win. We continue all that and then some tonight at the same place.

5/8 Week 11 posted below, all stats updated!

5/6 TIC TOC TIC TOC... WE GOT A NEW CLOCK! BAY WINNERS NOMAAN, BERGEN BEACH, MARINE PARK AND those KINGS! NOMAAN stay ahead of the pack with a six goal outing getting scoring from five different skaters with two of the goals coming off Bryan Ammirati stick. Goalie Vic Leoung also put up a solid effort in net only letting by one as the team stands tall at six and uno. With Bergen Beach trailing 1-0 after a period of play the Balsamo brothers would get to work and take over in second. Danny would stocking stuff two as brother Frank would hit the back of the net as well. With no goal scoring in the third the 3-1 Bergen Beach lead would hold as they stay a top the BIG B all alone. Marine Park produced a flow putting together their best all out team assault of the season. Mr. Brown Park defenseman / forward / utility man lead the way snipping up a Hat-trick with KC Krober putting two between the steel in the win. The Kings would trail 3-1 heading into the final fifteen staying calm and composed and made it a one goal game at the 12:20 mark as Danny Chrincho would just start to get loose. He kept his drive alive blazing home his second of the night evening the score with five and a half to go. Rich McGrath would show off his talents skating through traffic bagging up the game winner with a top shelf dart just thirty ticks later to complete the mission and the come from behind win. An inspired Stevie Balsan did his thing once again in the win coming up big more than once down the stretch and through out his forty five minutes of play! Standings updated, stats not. A Tuesday make up night is in the works and will be posted shortly, team captains will be notified.

5/5 RAIN OUT.

4/30 All Stats Updated, Week 10 schedules posted below.

4/28 Heavy rains through out the day... We done!

4/28 Never doubt a Dragon, NOMAAN show no mercy, A Black N Blue Battle and Bay Brewery got Soul! Matt "F" Dellecamelie sparked the Dragons offense with a trick and an assist as his third goal for the rabbit out the hat would be the biggest of the night making for a 4-2 game. The man's pack's a cannon as his shot is one of the leagues if not the hardest, Dragons get the win. After taking a their first loss of the season in last week's game, NOMAAN would make sure their would be no mishaps in last night's play. The assault would begin from the drop of the puck and would finish only fifty seconds into the final session as the squad would put up a ten spot. Joe Jensen the stud lead the way with a four goal night as Travis Gallagher put home two. Bryan Ammirati and J. Weston also hit the back of the net as the assist master Mike Gambino dished off four. Vic Leoung also did his thing posting up the sweet jelly donut. A 1-1 battle would pursue through forty five minute's of hockey as this great game between Black N Blue and Old School was decided in the final minute of play giving both goalies their credit due. The chances were their all night but Spiro Gialopsos of Black N Blue and Slim Rothchild of the Old School made for an epic game. But as a very patient and unselfish J. Musco would dish off a beauty to "F" Dellecamelie (yeah that guy again) he would blaze home the game winner. He said he was gong to get two write up's after he shined in his first outing grabbing the game winner in both his matches. Talking about goalies getting their credit due, Bay Brewery would turn the pepper shaker upside down empty it refill it and empty it again in their fist fifteen of play but would only leave period one with a 1-0 lead thanks to Scotty Adelle doing back spins off his back, chin, arms, legs, and scalp. But pressure would prevail in periods two and three as B. Munday would put home a trick and an assist, assisting the Bay Brew to victory. With the win combined with their trailers loss the Bay Brew got soul! Soul possession of first place in the Draft Division that is. Storms predicated, but we hope not cause we love this thing called roller hockey! Let's Skate!

4/23 - All Stats and Schedules updated for rest of season. ***ALL CAPTAINS PLEASE NOTE - due to all the postponements we have redone and posted the entire schedule for the last five weeks. Please review your team's schedule - we've tried to make it as fair as possible, but if there are any problems let us know no later than Sunday, May 1 and we'll try to accommodate you. Any questions or problems contact John and/or Steve (sid27crsh@aol.com). Schedule will lock in for the season after that point, no further changes will be considered. Also, please be aware that we may need to start scheduling make-ups on Tuesdays if we get more postponements.

4/22 The Gerritsen Beach Donkey Blow, a Bergen Beach pipe master, Jameson's short handed Revenge and the Blanks show a new face! We picked up where we left off in the Gerritsen Beach Marine Park rain out with 12:41 left in the third from a few weeks ago and Billy Dash would waste no time to break the 1-1 tie, but it would be Eddie McGrath finding the back of the net numerous times for a hat-trick and sealing the deal in the GB win. Gerritsen would keep spitting the venom in their regular scheduled game of night putting home three first period goals off of Clapp, Espo's and again McGrath sticks for a 3-0 lead going into the second. Greg Londis and James Espo would add more fire power the rest of the way and Gerritsen would skate away with a four point night in the standings. Bergen Beach official goal keep Ralphie Bavaro finally made it down to the Bay after missing the first few games due to work conflictions, but their was no conflict with his solid play between the steel as only two crossed his crease line. The Balsamo brothers Dan and Frank provided all the scoring he needed putting home two each in the 8-2 win. Jameson's Revenge and Marine Park would be dead locked at three deep into the third as the Park would go on the man advantage, but the extra attacker would only hurt the squad as Nicky Mazolla would blast home the go ahead goal short handed and Sica would finish off his hat-trick into an empty net with under a minute to go in the 5-3 win. Thomas Galligan had a goal in the game but said he should of had four. After a score less first period of play the Shooting Blanks went on the attack. Scoring four straight goals for a 4-0 lead the final would add up to 5-1 finish. A new name popped up on the Blanks attendance sheet Morrice, but his number 87 would appear three times in the goal column for the trick dazzling in his debut. As for the other Blanks Mulory showed off his whippet on the power play, Pontillo recorded two assists, Sean Martin finished with a goal and an assist and John Ciazzia played goal only letting by one. More to come standings updated, stats shortly.

4/21 An Old School Stunner, Black N Blue bring the Boom and a Scoring Barrage in a Draft Battle for first! After digging themselves a 3-0 hole Old School would get on the board late in the second period of play. The momentum of that goal would continue into the third as it would be a one goal game a the 6:34 mark of the final session. But as it looked like this game would end a 3-2 final Ilya Podolskiy would come to the rescue. Banging a home a beautiful pass from Stevie Balsan to send this game into over time he would come on through again in the extra session lifting his team to victory. A great come from behind all out team effort including Kevin "Slim" Rothchild who made some big saves between the pipes in crunch time. Black N Blue showed what they are capable of doing in big games, WIN. Handing the top seed their first loss of the season Black N Blue put up six. After Rob Gorlick would put home a beauty in the first, Matt "F"Dellecamelie and J. Musco would hit the back of the net two times each and Billy Main would register for three assists. All that Jazz would add up to a 6-1 winner. Having goalie problems all season long Black N Blue looks to have finally found a fit between the pipes signing Spiro Gialopsos who let only one by his goal crease in his Black N Blue debut. A shattering Eighteen Goals would hit the back on the net in our next game between the two teams combined. The Draft league battle for first between the Zorros and Bay Brewery went down to the wire as the Bay Brewery would take a 9-8 lead on the most beautiful play of the night or possibly the season as all four Bay Brewers touched the puck and Dominick Rubino scorched it into the back of the net for his second goal of the night. The Brewery added an empty net goal for the 10-8 victory. Bobby Kasimis had a crazy night in the scoring party putting up nine points with seven goals and two assists while over taking the league lead in scoring, sorry Alex. Standings updated, stats soon.

4/17 Week 8 Schedules Posted, All Stats Updated!

4/15 Bergen Beach with a Strong Finish, Sky Line on the Attack, Kings come out in the third and Bay Brewery pull one off! Marine Park would trail by two and storm back with three straight goals for a 5-4 lead with time ticking away and less then four minutes to play. But Bergen Beach would come right back with three more of their own to tie the game at five, take a one goal lead and add the empty net insurance for the win. Making his season debut Nick Merfindini put home the tying goal and dished off a beauty game winner to Danny Balsamo while finishing the night with three points. Alex Morozov also had a big night with all five Marine Park goals in the loss. Sky Line's big guns did big things in the Bay last night with Bobby Kasimis and Nick Dimisi both hitting mesh for tricks while George Konstandinidis was good for two lamp switch to the on position in the 7-2 winner. The whole Sky Line outfit put up a solid outing in the BIG W. It would be a goalie battle in the Kings Jameson's Revenge match up with Steveie "Big Heart" Balsan for the Kings and Spiro Gialopsos of Jameson's doing their thing between the pipes, but someone would eventually have to win this one. Jameson's Revenge would take a 1-0 lead into the third period but Joe Jensen would tie the game mid way though the third and Mike Diccico would grab the game winner with two minutes to play. The BIG B is tight this season as we have a four way tie for first place in the division. The Bay Brewery stuck to their game plan, ice the puck due to the fact they had no bench. The plan worked as they were about to hold on and escape with a 5-4 win. The Bay Bobby's did what they do best in the win put the points up on the board as Munday was good for the hat-trick and Kasimis had a goal and three assists. Team standings updated, stats soon.

4/13 RAIN...AGGGHHH

4/8 Marine Park shines in their new threads in both divisions as Jameson's Revenge pick up a win! Marine Park and Black N Blue would trade goals all night long but it would be Genero Soriano's top shelf corner snipe that would break the 5-5 tie wiith time winding down in the great battle. Steve Noto and Danny Chringo both had two goals each in the win while Ian Stachell had two goals in the loss for B N B. Trailing 3-1 after a Patrick Mulroy breakaway goal Marine Park (BB) would storm back for three third period goals to capture the 4-3 win. KC Krober, Kevin Drudy and Mike Dakalakis game winner from the point with less than four minutes to play were the three third period goals for the Park. Fill in Goalie Spiro Gialopsos put up a solid perfomance thourgh out for the Park and carried his play into his next game for his own squad Jameson's Revenge. Spiro would only let one by his crease in that game but it was Thomas Galligan who said he wanted to score a goal but not three who put home a hat-trick to lift his team to victory. Sica hooked Thomas up with all three of his goals while hitting the back of the net with one of his own in the 5-1 winner.

4/7 I can't wait to May cause I heard about the flowers. Another April shower leaves Bay Hockey Players a Sour!

4/3 Week 6 Schedules Posted!

In deep regret Kings Bay Hockey would like to send our thoughts and prayers with the Braverman family who recently lost Jeff. Jeff was a great and kind man who was a big fan of hockey and came down to support his friends when they played in the Bay. Jeff you will be truly missed, R.I.P. my friend.

4/3 Shillelagh Bar March on Through! Take home Winter Cup III! Shillelagh Bar / Astoria Lightning lift the Winter Cup III trophy high after winning three straight games yesterday and five over all in the tournament. After a first week tournament hiccup the Shillelagh Bar has not trailed in a game since. In a close semifinal match with a 2-1 lead mid way though the final period the Shillelagh's would open things up putting home the next two goals off of Rob Alibrandi and Nick Dimolous stick adding up to a 4-1 win, Dimoulas would finish the game with the hat trick. The fury would unleash into the Winter Cup III Finals as Shillelagh Bar would storm for eight goals in the fist game and six more in the second out scoring their opponents on the day 18-3. In game one of the finals it would be all about Rob Alibrandi, backed but his teams solid play. Alibrandi was a cut above the rest in this game hitting the back of the net six times and adding an assist for a seven point game. With the tournament pushed to the brink, winner take all, this game would also belong to Shillelagh Bar as Nick Dimoluas would have his say in this one. Nick Dimoluas would hit mesh five times in the tournament finale as the game would end 6-1 and the Winter Cup tournament would come to an end. I gotta say the tournament was a good one with six of the eleven games being decided by no more than two goals, four one goal games and three games that went to overtime. Rob Alibrandi finished on top of all scorers in tournament play with eighteen points, followed by teammate Nick Dimoluas who finished with sixteen points. Nick put up the most goals in the tournament with twelve as Goalie Giovanne "The Bay Stallion" Petre finished with top goalie honors with 2.00 Goals Against Average. The Cup will be for viewing for the next two week's at the Shillelagh Bar in Queens where Walt will be serving up half price drinks if you mention this write up. Raise your Cups to the Winter Cup III champion Shillelagh Bar! All final Winter Cup III stats pages have been updated.

3/31 RAIN ALL DAY.... NOTHING ABOUT ROLLER HOCKEY HERE.

3/31 Zorros finish four, Dragons keep pace, NOMAAM in a thriller while Black N Blue Gerristen Beach get some drizzle drops! Zorros rolled out their fourth straight win with a huge third period effort. With the game locked at five heading into the final fifteen the Zorros would burst out with six third period goals adding up to a 11-6 win. When it was all said and done the Zorros Alex Morozov would have a seven point night with five goals and two assists while taking over the scoring lead in Draft play with eighteen points on the season. The Dragons "F" Dellecamellie would pick up where he left off last week, this time around putting home the first three Dragons goals of the game for the trick while help moving the Dragons to 3-1 on the season. See what happens when you quit puffing cigarette smoke! Dragons goalie Stevie "Big Heart" Balsan was also a factor in the game stopping puck after puck while posting the third all time shut out in Draft league history. Not an easy task as the history shows but Steve does own two of the three donuts in draft play, don't forget to think of "Big Heart Balsan" at breakfast tomorrow. And then there was a battle! NOMAAM heading into tonight's play at 3-0 would shine in the first period of play while banging home three with two coming off Mike Gambino's stick and the other belonging to Bryan Ammirati. After a skirmish and an ejection the Old School cats would creep back into the game in the middle session. Lead by their big bad man Bob Munday blasting home two, just like that a three goal run was now a lead by one. After a brief rain delay we would continue play as the third period ticked away. Both goalies would see their share of action but it wasn't till eleven seconds left in regulation till another goal was scored. The goal would belong to Old School's Gabor Tali sliding home a beauty to even the score setting up the on the edge of your seat finish. After a scoreless four on four three attempts each of a shoot out were needed. Both goalies Vic Leoung of NOMAAM and Big Heart Balsan again for Old School had their works cut out for them in their solid outings but it would be Mr. Joe Jensen's fake and top left corner wrister talley that be the difference in this one, the only goal scored in the shoot out. Great Game, wild finish, NOMAAM 4-0 as they showed off their new NOMAAMlight blue threads. Black N Blue and Gerristen Beach would start their game but a steady light rain would ruin the rest of our night. We'll start this game at a later scheduled date in the season starting from scratch. More rain is scheduled for today, but we'll play it by ear before the call is made, team captains will be notified.

3/26 Ft. Knox in OT! Move to the WC III Finals, Shillelagh Bar Win! Where down to our final three! Ft. Knox move into the WC III finals with a come from behind win, stay undefeated and move into the Winter Cup III Finals. With the score dead locked at two in the first OT session Mike Draheim would slide one by the goal keep for his second of the day but more important the Overtime winner. Ft. Knox tied the game late in the would be final session of the game off a deflection in front in a game that was a battle all the way through. Ft. Knox will now await the winner of the Kings Bay Shillelagh Bar match to see who they will face in the Winter Cup finals. Who ever Ft. Knox play they will have to be beat twice since they are still undefeated in tournament play. Shillelagh Bar came out strong from the drop of the puck as Rob Alibrandi would put home a beauty for a 1-0 lead. Shillelagh would add another, but before periods end the Bombers Dennis Millazo would put home a beauty of his own to make for a one goal game going into the final period of play. That next goal, the next goal would belong to Shillelagh Bar for a big two goal cushion on Alibrandi's second of the match and a 3-1 lead. The two teams would trade goals the rest of the way and Shillelagh Bar set's themselves up against Kings Bay for the right to go the Winter Cup III Finals. Stay amped and ready as we pick up where we left off next Saturday in this beautiful thing called Winter Cup III Hockey.

3/25 Sky Line thrive, Bergen Beach finish, Kings Battle and Dragons Spit that fire! New addtion, late addition or hey we got our old teamate back! Well what ever it was Nick Dimisi shinned in his fist game this season with Sky Line. Putting up two goals and an assist Nick's second goal of the night held up to be the game winner in the 4-2 Sky Line W. Bergen Beach put up a 3-0 lead going into the third on Frank Balsamo, Dan Balsamo and Rich Femino goals. But the Blanks would fight back to get within one on two Patrick Mulroy tally's as it wasn't enough with Bergen Beach holding on for the 3-2 win. The Kings put up a strong first, the Park put in a soild second. Both teams efforts got them into a 1-1 deadlock heading into the final session. The struggle would continue all third period long as Andrew Manson would end the fight with his second lamp light of the night and a 2-1 Kings win. The Dragons and Hansons would both be without their first rounders as the Hansons were missing a little more with only four to skate. The Dragons took advantage and it was a shooting gallary with pucks flying every direction. The Dragons big man Matt "F" Dellecalimi had something to do with seven of the teams ten goal outting with five goals and two assists. A career night for Mr. "F" as he won't be forgetting his performance anytime soon as other's who whistinesed it won't forget it either. Full BIG B pages updated with draft being updated shortly. Full season schedule should be posted by the end of the weekend.

3/23 Heavy Rain all Day, No Hockey in the Bay!

3/19 WOW! What a day of Roller Hockey in the Bay! Ft. Knox and Kings Bay take two, Bombers and Shillelagh Bar advance to Week 2! Ft. Knox would finish their chances and feed off their goalies back (G. Post) to take their tournament opener while carrying their momentum into their next match. Mike Chindemi kept bringing the heat scoring a total of ten points in two games with seven goals and three assists. Ft. Knox advance into round two with a 2-0 record. Shillelagh Bar advanced into round two facing elimination with a big win in their second match putting up seven. N. Dimoulas, K. Melik and J. Barker all had two each. Team Kings Bay games would both need overtime but the team was successful in both extra sessions and a shoot out. Kings Bay's hero would be Anthony "Skip" Salvo scoring in the teams first games overtime session and then putting home the Shoot Out winner making Kings Bay go 2-0 on the day. They will meet Ft. Knox next week in the win bracket, the only two teams in the 2-0 slot. Brooklyn Bombers also advance in the second round holding off a late Aeros attack. Bombers lead 3-0 in the game on goals by Lou Montello, 6 and 16. Aeros would connect twice with less then five minutes to play as Bombers goalie Ralphie Bavarro would do his thing the rest of the way getting the Bombers into next week. They will face Shillelagh Bar in a elimination match. Winter Cup III a great day of roller hockey in the Bay! Round two will be next Saturday, all stats from the Winter Cup will be updated shortly.

3/18 Winter Cup III! Schedule posted and official Winter Cup III page has been uploaded, check it out here. Week One Schedule for the tournament is posted below. The Roller Hockey Marathon kicks off tomorrow at 12:00.

3/17 N.O.M.A.A.M. three out the gate, Black N Blue pull dramatics in OT, Bay Brew back on track while the Zorros keep rollin in the Shoot Out! Joe Jensen and Ed Diamo would get N.O.M.A.A.M. on the board in the first but it was Paulie Lind's goal and Jason Weston's cannon that put the game away. N.O.M.A.A.M skated away with a 4-1 win and a 3-0 start to the season. Black N Blue straightened out their roster and brought it on last night. While trailing by two goals going in to the final session they owned period three and it would be two Billy Buckman goals to even the score. On the equalizer tally Bucks darted up the middle creating a breakaway while finishing off a beautiful back hand. Black N Blue wasted no time in the Over Time period to get the W scoring right off the center ice face off as J. Musco chipped the puck passed the defenseman got in on a break went top shelf and ended the game with a fist pump. The Bay Brew Bobbys got back on track after a Week 2 mishap and put up the points. Bobby Munday was good for a five point night with a goal and four assists while Bobby Kasimis went mesh for three. Final score 7-5, but Bay Brew did lead in this game 6-1 at on point. Lesson learned, It's never over till it's over in draft play my friends. Zorros won their first two matches convincingly but would need to wipe out a two goal deficit in the third and a shoot out to jump to 3-0 on the season. Their big guns Morozov and Manson got the job done in the third, but reportedly the two are having problems getting along. In the Shoot Out Manson would tally and Baumbuer would score a beauty for the Zorros winning the shoot out contest 2-0 and the game 5-4. Zorros goal keep Jason Re has been doing his thing between the pipes, posting a 2-0 record backed by his two solid starts. No where talkin Jae Re, his old interview is reposted below.

3/16 A Jamesons Shot, A Blanks Blowout, THE KINGS, Zorros show up! Action Action we want action and that's what got in last nights opener, back and forth action in the Bergen Beach Jamesons Revenge game. With the game tied at four deep into the third, 97 of Jamesons would get one by to break the tie with just thirty six ticks to go. The 5-4 lead would hold up and put JR at at 2-0 on the young season. Frank Balsamo and Rich Feminao both had two goals each in the loss. Rob Alibrandi hasn't played in the Bay in a season or so but let everyone know he was back right from the start. Wiping out a goal deficit he added another for two first period goals. The Blanks kept on building from their taking a 6-1 win. N. Carpinni would also tally twice in the winner. All the Kings got in on the action in last night's play getting scoring from six different skaters lead by their long stick dee man who works on Saturdays Rich McGrath. McGrath put home three while back up goal keep or not so back up Stevie Balsan did his thing between the pipes shutting the door all night only letting by one in the third. Not to mention he filled in the two previous games before that same position going for a 2-1 record on the night. Just getting credited for the Kings win of course, you won't see that in the stats but you will in the write-ups. Mike The "Quad Father" Diccio also had a big night registering for two assists a new Visor and a Kings jersey. Moving on while busy making fresh hot and cold sandwiches, Jesse Hetzler forgot to tell his team they had a game last night. Not so bad if was a regular scheduled night, but with St. Patty's day on Thursday we moved games to Tuesday (last night). So four guys showed with the other four not having a clue. No harm done as Hetzler's Zorros sparked from the start. Lead by the Russian Rocket Alexi Morozov's seven point night Alex was good for four goals and three assists. The Zorros would skate away with a 9-6 win. Everything was ugly in the CRC game last night including their new jerseys, but they did mount a nice comeback. Games will contine tonight if the rain ends early enough, team captains will be notifed. Winter Cup III is this weekend, it's still not too late to enter a team.

3/12 Week 3 Schedules posted.

3/11 Week 2 Stats updated! No games will be played this Thursday due to St. Patrick's day. Thursday night games will be moved to Tuesday, we will go with same schedule as last Thursday since it was a rain out. Week 3 Schedules will be posted tomorrow. Check out Winter Cup III info below.

3/9 Two out the gate for N.O.M.A.A.M, Zorros make a debut, Gerritsen Beach and Marine Park Knot and then came the Rain! Well who is number eleven for N.O.M.A.A.M? The Reason I ask is because he scored the first goal of the the game for N.O.M.A.A.M and would add three more third period goals for a 5-3 winner. N.O.M.A.A.M would trail by a goal heading into the final session, storm back with those three third period goals and end up with a 2-0 record on the young season. Next up the Zorros would make there season opener a memorable one knocking the Bay Brew off their high horse and coming on top with a 6-4 win. Morozov would score the the first two Zorros tallies but his line mate Ilya Podolskiy would score the goal of the night skating though traffic and putting a back hand on mesh for a two goal cushion. Team Captain Jesse "the sandwich man" Hetzler put the finishing touches on the win with a bomb from the point. James Esposito for Gerritsen Beach in period one and Danny Chricango for Marine Park in period two would leave us knotted at one heading into the final session. But the last word would be left by mother nature as she dropped the rain on us leaving us with 12:15 left in the third. The next time these two teams meet they will finish off their final session then play their scheduled game. Mom nature looks like she'll leave us with no hockey tonight as well, but the official call will be made later in the day. Full site will be updated shortly. 3/5 Week 2 schedule posted, full site updated!

3/4 N.O.M.A.A.M. grind out a win in their opener, Bergen Beach in OT, a win written in a Sky Line and Jamesons Jolt out a W! The longest team name in Bay history is the newly formed N.O.M.A.A.M. and I have no idea what it stands for but a team lead by Joey Jensen really don't need a name as he would bang out a hat-trick in this back and forth battle that was good for a 5-4 winner. The pace of the Marine Park Bergen Beach game was electric as Bergen Beach would build a two goal lead, Marine Park would come back for the next two to equalize, go back down by one and even things back up at four with just :18 left off a C. Brown wrist. But it would be the BIG B youngster R. Berzi connecting in the OT session getting Bergen Beach the winner. Sky Line and the Blanks would trade goals in the first go scoreless in the second with Sky Line connecting twice in the final session skating away with a 3-1 win. The Kasimis brothers would both get on the scoring sheet as they both hooked up for a tally as well. Jamesons made their debut in the Bay with a short bench and a couple of illegal players would be allowed after an injury by the newly threaded Kings and the game was a good one. With a 3-3 deadlock going into the third Jamesons would hit mesh next, add an empty netter and skate away with a 5-3 win. Full Site will Be updated this weekend along with the Week 2 Schedule.

3/3 The Puck Finally drops in the Bay! Dragons wipe out a three goal deficit, Bay Brew Bring the Storm, Old School and The Park go at it again as the Donkey Punchers bring it on! After a three and a half month snow delay things finally got back to normal in the Bay, HOCKEY! The Dragons and CRC would set off the night, the two Draft finalists from a season ago and CRC would quickly build a 4-1 lead early in the second. But a Charles Sbrigato lead team don't understand the word give up as they stormed back for five straight unanswered goals and took the win on a sweet Squiggy snipe late in the third. A new dynamic duo has formed in the Bay, formally the Bay Brew now the Bay Bobby's, Bobby Kasimis and Bobby Munday hooked up for four goals while both combined for a seven goal night. Although they tried to be a little two fancy in the first they impressed in the final two sessions as poor Vic Leoung the Bay Brew goal keep was just point nine tenths of a second away from the shut out. The LB's finalists also got together again and yes again it would be a one goal game that would be decided in the final minutes of play. Old School would come on top in this one with a 2-1 win as Old School net minder Slim Rothchild made a couple of big timely stops. Marine Park goalie Gus Katehis might of played his best game in a Park uniform as the score in this game could of been much worse than a 2-1 final. Donkey Punchers number double 00 would hit mesh twice in the second and James Esposito was good for a two assist night as the Donkey Punchers would skate to the beat of a 4-1 win. Black N Blues would break on though the Rob Molina solid outing on a Billy Main cannon Blast late in the third. We'll go at it again tonight as it feels great to be lacing them up.
